View Full Details of Manorhey Care CentreManorhey care centre has looked after my brother since July last year. They have supported him clinically and holistically ensuring that his views are always considered. They have settled him into residential care when he was less accepting of a formal care setting, which has relieved our family greatly. He reports that he likes the staff; he says they take time to chat to him about his likes and dislikes and more generally his interests. He says he feels safe, supported and listened to. From my point of view, I can't believe my brother has settled so well. He can be tricky, not always recognising his limitations. But he's been won over by the person centred care given at Manorhey. Thank you so much from me and my family, knowing that our relative is living in such a caring and supportive environment means that we can enjoy good quality time with him when we visit.
My mum has been in Manorhey for just over 2 years now and she has been so well cared for even she has been horrible to the staff (she has dementia). Nothing is ever too much for the staff, they are all so happy and cheerful even enquiring about other members of our family. Would highly recommend Manorhey to everyone.
A very pleasant experience. Warm and friendly staff. I had to ask on occasions for help and that was no trouble at all. I cant fill all boxes as no experience of category.
My mum has been in Manorhey for 8 months now and she couldn't receive better care. She is bed bound but kept clean and comfortable which is so important to her family. The nurses and carers are very kind and patient and management are always there to answer any questions. Excellent.
Manorhey provides good quality care. My mum is very well looked after. The staff are aware of her needs and will call if there are any changes in her health. I visit regularly and there are always activities for the residents which, is shared in the monthly newsletter. There is always someone popping by with a cup of tea or doing a comfort check. I am very happy with the care my mum receives. Thank you.
My mother has been a Manorhey care resident for over two years. Initially this was a difficult time for Mum and all the family. As a family we cared for Mum at her home for as long as we could but her needs got increasingly difficult to deal with and sadly we had to make the decision to put her in a care home. At first it was a learning curve for all of us and Mum, getting to know the staff and the staff getting to know us and Mum as well and how everything works. It's taken Mum a long time to settle down especially because of her Alzheimer's but I think she has now. I think I'm speaking for all the family when I say the overall experience of the care Mum has received and the quality of care and staff at Manorhey has been excellent.
My husband has been a resident at Manorhey Care Home for about six years. He seems quite happy and contented there, and I can tell that he likes the staff although he cannot tell me himself. I find that the Managers, and all the various staff members are always very helpful and friendly. If I have a concern I can easily speak to them and it is sorted out straight away. I looked at many care homes before my husband went into nursing care and this was one of the best ones that I could find. The whole home is kept very tidy and clean and has a lovely welcoming feeling. Having my husband at Manorhey gives me peace of mind. I know that he is being looked after well, and he seems very happy and contented there.
Very caring and compassionate staff. They are approachable if I have a concern about something Cleanliness is first class. The home has a family feel to it. Residents are cared for in a caring and dignified manner. Nothing is too much trouble
My mum has been in the care home for 2 years, all the staff are wonderful and caring, they are very patient with her. The home has a lovely atmosphere and the residents individual rooms are well kept by the cleaning staff. The laundry ladies do a fantastic job and the kitchen staff prepare food they serve to residents is freshly cooked, nutritional meals. The lovely Reception staff are always welcoming when entering the home. I could not have asked for a better care home for mum.
My dad was transferred into the Manor Hay care home in November 2024 on end of life care. As his son I dealt with the manager together with someone in admin and the lady on reception and all were outstanding . I also spoke regularly with the nursing staff and care staff who again were all magnificent keeping me updated with my dads deteriorating health and the care they were providing. I could see that he was receiving excellent care and all his needs were being attended to with care and understanding. My dad finally passed in February and again as a family we received the utmost respect and sympathy from all the staff. I could not have wished for a better care/nursing home for my dad to end his days.
My mother spent the last 3 years of her life at Manorhey and sadly passed last week. The care she received at Manorhey throughout her whole time there was excellent. My mum didn't really leave her room or mix in any of the communal areas, so I didn't really have contact with much of the home or activities. That said, staff worked hard to encourage her to access what was offered. The staff were always friendly and compassionate. During my mum's end of life care, the staff looked after us (my brother and I) with such care. Nothing was too much trouble.
My dear Mum passed away at Manorhey Care Centre on Friday 7th February 2025. She had been a resident there for very nearly three years. In all of that time, Mum had become well-known to very many of the team there, including nurses, carers, domestics, reception staff, and managers. I can say without a doubt that Mum experienced nothing but kindness, gentleness and compassion from everyone she encountered. I visited as often as I could. My sister visited too. On every visit, we could see that Manorhey Care Centre had been a good choice for Mum's ongoing care. It is a lovely establishment and we are grateful for the loving care Mum received there. The facilities are all of high quality. Residents' rooms are comfortable and spacious and kept clean and heated. But, it is the quality of the staff working at Manorhey Care Centre that, I believe, sets it head-and-shoulders above others. Everyone I met during my many visits showed so much love and kindness to Mum. I cannot thank them enough.
In the few months that my sister was a resident at Manorhey Care Centre she received the best of care from all the staff and was able to develop good relationships with everyone who looked after her. I always felt when I was there that this was such a kind and caring place. Certainly everyone with whom I had any dealings was unfailingly friendly and helpful. Within her physical limitations my sister was able to participate in some of the wide range of activities that the home provided each month. Whenever there were any problems with her health I would always be kept informed, and it was a huge comfort for me to know that everything that could be done for my sister was being done.Thank you to all at Manorhey for being there for my sister during what were to prove the last few months of her life.
I only have praise for Manorhey. This care home was my mum's home for 14 years until she sadly passed away in August this year. Mum was happy here where she developed a fantastic relationship and rapport with the lovely staff who looked after and cared for her throughout the years. Mum loved the entertainment that was on each week and the activities provided from bingo to baking and she loved having her hair done every Thursday by the hairdresser. As for the care provided by the lovely staff it was given in Mum's best interests and with dignity for her which as a family is what you would expect for a loved one, even at times when Mum was poorly, they would phone me and keep me updated on how she was doing until she was back to her old self again. I would like to finish my review by thanking all the staff for looking after my beloved Mum and that I will miss you all. To anyone looking for a care home for their loved one, you will not be disappointed by choosing Manorhey Care Centre.
Staff are caring and patient, always on hand to answer any questions we have. The events are carried and often. Everywhere is clean all the time, meals are varied. Overall a lovely place.
Mum came to Manorhey from hospital for EOL care. She has always been a very scared and worried lady. She was anxious in hospital; however, since arriving she's been very settled and calm. She has been singing and smiling and the staff all know her so well. She's been very well cared for. Each member of staff know her likes and dislikes. They enter her room every 2 hours, they reposition her and check her comfort is maximized. Mum doesn't eat, it's part of her EOL pathway and I'm glad that staff do not push her too much. This wouldn't be good for Mum's wellbeing. Initially, some did think it important for her to eat which was challenging for me. Overall, I cannot thank all (every single one) from the staff member at reception to the cleaners and all those in-between, enough.
Handful of staff are aware of what dignity is. Majority show compassion, agency staff seem to be on the rise. Safety precautions need to be implemented cleanliness of residents need to be increased i.e hand hygiene.
My mum is extremely happy in the home. She is well looked after by all the staff. All the staff are very approachable and available if needed. Reception staff are also very helpful.
My mum went into Manorhey a few years ago, which was a very hard decision for the family to make, the home made Mum and us so welcome and I can honestly say we are happy and Mum is doing great. The staff are so lovely and the staff have done amazing things with the dementia residents and all the other residents going above and beyond. Mother's Day was so lovely as they arranged for us to go for a pub lunch and we made so many memories to cherish. The home ring you every month to see if you are happy with the care which is great, I can't thank the staff enough for looking after my mum, thank you with all my heart.
Mum was referred on assessment from the hospital due to her dementia. The staff were brilliant with Mum, and as her dementia deteriorated, she became a permanent resident. Mum enjoys the activities and day trips the staff provide. The nursing staff are wonderful with Mum, as she does not like her personal care being done. My dad visits her most days, and the staff are great with him. The facilities and rooms are lovely. The friendly receptionists and admin team are very helpful. Highly recommend this care home.
