Manorhey is an expertly designed, purpose-built care facility in Urmston which offers residential, nursing and dementia care.

The warm and welcoming home provides a number of communal lounges as well a library, cinema room and dining room. The single occupancy bedrooms come fully furnished and with en-suite wet rooms.

The comprehensive range of care options ensures staff meet the changing needs of residents. This means that it is unlikely that any resident will face an emotional and unsettling move to another care home if their needs change.

The highly skilled staff at Manorhey include qualified nurses and carers, who all work together to maintain the health and well-being of each resident, focusing on the needs of the individual and fully supporting their independence.

Manorhey’s laundry, housekeeping and maintenance staff also maintain the excellent standards of the home. Talented chefs serve restaurant-quality, fresh food daily, adapted for all dietary needs and requirements, while the dedicated activities team are responsible for a varied entertainment, activities and events programme.

Manorhey can also provide daycare for those who wish to visit the home for the day, enjoy a meal and participate in the available social events.

The care from the care team at Manorhey was so compassionate and warm. They went above and beyond to ensure her needs were met. My sister sadly passed away at the end of January, and at a very difficult and sad time, the staff demonstrated kindness, empathy and amazing support. I would not hesitate
to recommend this wonderful care home.

So helpful and so accommodating. My brother was so unsettled with himself when we first brought him to the care home, but the staff have been amazing with him and check on him which I think is lovely. He's now started to interact with other residents and looks so settled now. He has his own surroundings
and feels at home now which is so reassuring for us.
Reply from Natalie Kavanagh, Home Manager at Manorhey Care CentreThank you for sharing such a heartfelt review. It's wonderful to hear how well your brother has settled and how supported he feels. Our team will be so pleased to know their care and kindness have helped him feel at home and confident enough to connect with others. It's a privilege to support your family, and we're truly grateful for your trust.

Manorhay care is an excellent place for any family member, my husband has only been in a few months but the level & care given to him is very good the staff are pleasant & chatty but most of all caring to residents. My husband had an awful experience in a previous care home so I was a little worried.
As you can imagine, I knew the first week. That this was going to be good, they keep you informed on everything, activities good, food good overall excellent
Reply from Natalie Kavanagh, Home Manager at Manorhey Care CentreThank you so much for sharing this lovely feedback. The care and support my mum receives at Manorhey by both management and all staff is excellent - this includes personal care, medication management, all assistance 24/7 with personal needs being met consistently. Manorhey is always spotlessly clean and is very safe home. Mum is treated with the upmost

Although my father was only in Manorhey Care Centre for a short period of time, the care and empathy both he and the family received was quite exceptional. It was a difficult time, but we couldn't have been more appreciative of the support we received from the carers and the receptionists, the cleaners
and also the care manager. They were all magnificent.

I live in Australia, and while visiting my father in Manchester, he suffered a stroke. Manorhey Care Home accepted him after his discharge from the hospital. The staff there are tremendous and caring, and the rooms are always spotless. There are plenty of activities for residents to enjoy. My dad seems
to have settled in well. Although it's difficult being back in Australia, I feel confident that he is in good hands and receiving excellent care. I highly recommend Manorhey Care Home to anyone looking to place a friend or family member into care.
Reply from Natalie Kavanagh, Home Manager at Manorhey Care CentreThank you so much for your review, and we understand how this can be such a difficult choice with you living in a different country. We are so happy to instill such confidence in you that you can allow Dad to remain here. It is vital that you have this trust in the delivery of care, and this helps so many others in similar situations to yourself, so again, thank you for choosing the Manorhey.

Thank you to the care home team for all of their kindness, dedication and care they have given to my uncle. All of the staff look after the residents and ensure they are clean, comfortable and are fed well. The staff were genuinely upset and sad to hear our uncles deterioration and supported us thorough
our bereavement. Everyone works hard here and cares for their residents and their families.

I could not recommend this care home enough. My dad has been in here for a couple of years the support and the care we get from the staff through the bad times is amazing. They are always there not just for my dad but for us as a family.
The moment you walk through the door, you are always greeted

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.901)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.901) out of 10 for Manorhey Care Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 45 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 44 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.901 for Manorhey Care Centre is calculated as follows: ( (479 Excellents x 5) + (44 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 527 Ratings = 4.901
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Manorhey Care Centre is based on 44 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 83 registered maximum number of service users is 16.6, which has been reached with 44 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
