Manorhey is an expertly designed, purpose-built care facility in Urmston which offers residential, nursing and dementia care.

The warm and welcoming home provides a number of communal lounges as well a library, cinema room and dining room. The single occupancy bedrooms come fully furnished and with en-suite wet rooms.

The comprehensive range of care options ensures staff meet the changing needs of residents. This means that it is unlikely that any resident will face an emotional and unsettling move to another care home if their needs change.

The highly skilled staff at Manorhey include qualified nurses and carers, who all work together to maintain the health and well-being of each resident, focusing on the needs of the individual and fully supporting their independence.

Manorhey’s laundry, housekeeping and maintenance staff also maintain the excellent standards of the home. I honestly cannot praise the Manorhey Care Centre and the staff enough for making my dad’s last few weeks so comfortable. This was through their hard work and commitment to my dad but also the kindness shown to him and us, as a family.
Everything we asked for was catered for and nothing was ever too
much trouble. The reception staff always made you feel welcome and we were always greeted with a smile and a lovely chat. It really was a home from home and we were able to walk away knowing that we could put complete trust in the staff to look after him how we would want and expect.
Well done to the Manorhey for getting it so right and delivering complete dignity right to the very end.

My mother went into Manorhey Care Centre in May 2023 with dementia, she was treated well, kept clean and encouraged to eat. Unfortunately, after a fall became very ill as she wouldn't eat, she was very frail, but she was looked after well, and the staff treated her with dignity and respect. She was
comfortable with them, they were lovely, sadly Mum passed away. Respect to you all, you do a very hard job.

Throughout her stay, Mum has been treated with kindness and respect. Due to dementia, my mum had outbursts of temper, this was always dealt with in a calm and kind manner. At the end of her life, Mum was shown compassion and was able to be surrounded by her family as well as her Manorhey Care Centre
family. Thank you to all who cared for my mum in such a compassionate way.

From the day my husband became a resident of Manorhey Care Centre, he was cared for and looked after. The staff were patient, caring and attended to his every need. He gave them quite a challenging time at first but they were kind and understanding and helped him to settle in. The Manorhey is clean
and the staff were all very friendly and visitors were made to feel very welcome. I'm glad he was able to spend his last days there instead of a hospital and the end-of-life care by the nurses was amazing and they knew how to look after him in his final days. A lovely nursing home with fantastic staff including the office and reception staff.

My mum spent her final six weeks in Manorhey; she went in on end-of-life care from the hospital, the NHS chose this care home, and I am so glad this particular home was chosen. I went to visit every day and got to know many of the staff; everyone I met was kind, caring and friendly; they treated mum
with dignity, understanding and respect. The staff are the most important part of any care home!
Mum was on the top floor; she never left her room, and the room was very comfortable, quiet and kept clean. Mum was a fussy eater, and the staff didn't mind me taking in her favourite foods to be kept as a backup if she wouldn't eat anything off the menu.
Mum never complained or asked to go home, which was a massive relief for me.
I was able to come and go and visit mum whenever I wanted, and parking was never an issue.
A big thank you to all the staff, receptionists, nurses, carers, catering, admin, cleaners etc, who made Mum's (and mine) time here as comfortable as possible.

I spent a week at Manorhey Care Centre following an operation.
I live alone with no relatives nearby and felt that I would benefit from professional supervision while convalescing.
All the staff who cared for me were very friendly, helpful and courteous and I am glad I spent the time there.

I am pleased to be able to visit my wife inside Manorhay Care Centre. The staff are all friendly and helpful when I visit. I was fortunate to be invited to have Valentine's lunch with my wife and enjoyed a lovely meal and afternoon tea.

Past family have used Manor Hey Care Home so I was relieved when social services placed my husband here. Staff are always pleasant and helpful in a difficult job.
Hope to be able to have a run out with my husband but the last year have enjoyed the garden. It's possible the rooms are due for decorating.

Very welcoming exterior. All members of staff/managers I spoke to are friendly (yet professional) and knowledgeable of the care home. Nothing is too much trouble. I am very happy and I feel at ease now knowing my dad is in safe and good hands. Staff are on the ball, Dad is better fed and looked after here than at his own home. The team at Manorhey have always been very supportive of my mum's care and development while there. She entered at the start of the covid pandemic so it was not the easiest transition. Despite that, they have made a lot of efforts to help with socially distanced visits (with full-on PPE) and assist
with delivery of personal effects, her mobile and making calls, meals, clothing and much more.


The attitude of all the care staff is exemplary and it's clear they love what they do. This has stood out amongst everything else as most important to me. We all know that the care business is not the easiest in the world and people underestimate what it takes to provide care for the sick and elderly round the clock.


The setting seems really modern and the rooms people have are much more spacious than others I have seen so with some personal detailing, people can make a space for themselves that feels homely.
So I am rather impressed with everything.

My aunt was a resident at Manorhey from March until she passed away in July 2021. During the time she was there, she was treated with kindness and compassion. Manorhey is bright and modern, recently decorated and my aunt always said that she enjoyed her meals. The activities team work very hard to keep
the residents occupied and entertained. During my aunt's final days we were kept fully informed of her health. I would especially like to mention the friendly admin officer and the three members of staff who were closely involved in her care.

My elderly cousin has been given a fantastic welcome from all the staff. Nothing has been too much trouble and this has really helped my cousin transition from living on her own to needing 24-hour care.
The management, admin, carers, hospitality, cleaning, and maintenance staff have all been extremely
professional.

My mother moved into Manorhay a couple of years ago. It took a little time for her to settled in but the staff have been excellent with her. She has her regular carers who know her routine which helps tremendously and is now settled giving me peace of mind.

Job Title: Home Manager

Hi, my name is Natalie, I am the Home Manager of Manorhey. I am new to my post and I have been fortunate to have worked at Manorhey since its establishment in 2010.


It has been a pleasure providing care for the local community for the past 14 years and working alongside the NHS Trafford council and wider multi-disciplinary team.
