I am pleased to be able to visit my wife inside Manorhay Care Centre. The staff are all friendly and helpful when I visit. I was fortunate to be invited to have Valentine's lunch with my wife and enjoyed a lovely meal and afternoon tea.

Past family have used Manor Hey Care Home so I was relieved when social services placed my husband here. Staff are always pleasant and helpful in a difficult job.

Hope to be able to have a run out with my husband but the last year have enjoyed the garden. It's possible the rooms are due for decorating.

Very welcoming exterior. All members of staff/managers I spoke to are friendly (yet professional) and knowledgeable of the care home. Nothing is too much trouble. The building itself was spotless and everything well sign posted and well laid out. There was evidence of the carers being caring and kind to residents and friendly to visitors.

I am very happy and I feel at ease now knowing my dad is in safe and good hands. Staff are on the ball, Dad is better fed and looked after here than at his own home. It's a warm place, I hope Dad also likes it! I want to thank everyone for their hard work in this pandemic too, it must be so tough. The care is extremely good and staff update me all the time.

The team at Manorhey have always been very supportive of my mum's care and development while there. She entered at the start of the covid pandemic so it was not the easiest transition. Despite that, they have made a lot of efforts to help with socially distanced visits (with full-on PPE) and assist with delivery of personal effects, her mobile and making calls, meals, clothing and much more.

The attitude of all the care staff is exemplary and it's clear they love what they do. This has stood out amongst everything else as most important to me. We all know that the care business is not the easiest in the world and people underestimate what it takes to provide care for the sick and elderly round the clock.

The setting seems really modern and the rooms people have are much more spacious than others I have seen so with some personal detailing, people can make a space for themselves that feels homely.

So I am rather impressed with everything.

My aunt was a resident at Manorhey from March until she passed away in July 2021. During the time she was there, she was treated with kindness and compassion. Manorhey is bright and modern, recently decorated and my aunt always said that she enjoyed her meals. The activities team work very hard to keep the residents occupied and entertained. During my aunt's final days we were kept fully informed of her health. I would especially like to mention the friendly admin officer and the three members of staff who were closely involved in her care.

My elderly cousin has been given a fantastic welcome from all the staff. Nothing has been too much trouble and this has really helped my cousin transition from living on her own to needing 24-hour care.
The management, admin, carers, hospitality, cleaning, and maintenance staff have all been extremely professional.

I am sure my cousin will be very happy here. A good start so far. Thank you, everyone.

My mother moved into Manorhay a couple of years ago. It took a little time for her to settled in but the staff have been excellent with her. She has her regular carers who know her routine which helps tremendously and is now settled giving me peace of mind.

Frequent essential visits to my dad, who is sadly reaching the end of life stage of this cruel illness have been emotionally difficult for my mum and myself. The staff, from the caring and welcoming receptionist to the attentive carers, the friendly cleaning staff and the supportive admin and management teams have all been brilliant and made our experience a little less harrowing. We are thankful and appreciate them all.

Very happy with the care and attention given to my mum and Manorhey. Everyone is very respectful to mum and help her to be as independent as possible whilst offering help whenever needed. The staff understand that mums dementia can sometimes cause changes in her friendliness, they never take offence and understand she is always well presented, washed and dressed nicely.

I was unable to complete all the ratings because from the day my father went into the home there was the lockdown. The only downside to the home was not very good communication with my father by telephone, and when I did call it was very noisy in the area where he was able to talk. There was a time when things were going missing from his room, which was found eventually. It was quite stressful at this time. I never got to see his room to be able to look for items. My father died on 20th January 2021.

Just to say a very big thank you for everything the team do for my mum.
It was just over a year ago that Mum was diagnosed with vascular dementia, at that time Mum was struggling a little with memory but still very active. Mum was still working, she went to church, and she was a frequent visitor to the bingo with her friends. Then Covid 19 struck and closed down all of Mum's social activities, she was furloughed from work. This had a dramatic effect on Mum's mental health, she became more anxious, more confused and struggled with day to day living cumulating in Mum wondering from her home on regular occasions.

In December 2020 Mum moved to Manorhey Care Home, a decision that was hard to make, but one that I did make because I believed that Mum's health and safety was a priority. WOW! What a difference 8 weeks have made, Mum seems to be enjoying her life again, she has a smile on her face, she has a glint in her eye. Your team celebrated her birthday in style. Thanks for making a difference.

My father has been a resident at Manorhey for some years. He has Alzheimer’s disease. The specialist dementia care has been really good and he is content and comfortable there. The staff team know him well and offer personalised care for his needs. They have been able to notice any small deterioration in his condition and pass that on to us. I have seen him once during lockdown but have had cards, photos and videos of him to keep in touch. I would recommend the specialist dementia care highly.

My Mum was discharged from hospital in July 2020 and went to Manorhey until her death of advanced dementia in December 2020. The care that she was provided with was excellent and gave me great comfort and reassurance that she was being looked after with care and dignity in her final few months. How the staff interacted with me was also excellent and never too busy to speak to me or keep me informed.

My wife was accepted into the Manorhey Care Home on 5th November direct from hospital after a nasty fall down the stairs. She is looked after by excellent staff who have settled her in very nicely and she is very happy and contented there. She is in very good hands and though I miss her company desperately, I now know that she is in safe hands.

My brother has severe Alzheimer's and has been a resident at Manorhey Care Centre for several years. Thankfully staff are very caring, compassionate and knowledgeable - always doing their best to reassure my brother. When I’ve visited I am always made to feel welcome and never a nuisance! Video calls to my brother are available and I’ve found staff do everything they can to make things easy.
