Claremont Manor Care Home

from S F (Power of Attorney of Resident) published on 6 July 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
We arrived with our Chinese Aunt in January 2026 and warmly welcomed. She has a lovely room near the lounge which works well for her. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. The need for transferring my Aunt from another area quite quickly, was handled with empathy and encouragement. It happened
smoothly and all staff were very helpful in the difficult and sad circumstances.
There are issues to work through and we look to working together with Claremont to support these, so our Aunt can engage more with other residents, be involved and enjoy what the home provide, and make new friends!
A lovely relaxing atmosphere & place to visit and be part of with Auntie. Her Chinese family who visited recently were very pleased with Claremont and thankful to see where she now lives. They received a warm welcome. Thank you for welcoming the family as we come and go!
Reply from Katy Ullah, Customer Relations Manager at Claremont Manor Care HomeThank you for your lovely review. We are so pleased that your Aunt and family have felt welcomed and supported during her transition to Claremont Manor. It means a great deal to hear that our team has made a positive difference during a difficult time. We look forward to continuing to work together to help your Aunt build friendships and enjoy activities.

My mother moved to Cedar Court after a fall and a stay in hospital. The transition from hospital was smooth and Mum has seemed to settle in well. We have visited at lots of different times and have always found Mum looking looked after. The staff have all been friendly and caring. Mum has seemed happier

I came here for respite initially for 1 week but had to extend my stay for three weeks. I have had excellent care. Only complaint is that sometimes my food was cold and given different to what I requested. This only happened a couple of times. The food was very good.
Reply from Jemma Quayle, Home Manager at Pinewood Residential Care HomeThank you for such a lovely review, we are really pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us, and I will pass on your kind words to the team.
I'm sorry to hear about the occasional problem with your food. This is not the service we expect at Pinewood and I will be looking into this further to find out what went wrong to ensure this does not happen again.

Bentley Grange Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Grandad recently stayed at Bentley Grange for 5 week's respite care. He also stayed fantastic stay last year, so when we needed care for him, there was only one place we knew would be the right place for him.
The level of care, kindness, dignity and respect he was given was beyond measure. It is
clear to see that all staff are happy at Bentley Grange and go above and over for the residents and their families, as well as their colleagues.
Eleanor and Shweta ensured that Grandad's transfer of care was as swift and seamless as possible.
Chloe was fantastic at ensuring the team knew how best to communicate with Grandad and ensure he was getting what he needed.
The home itself, is beautiful, bright and exceptionally clean.
The food at BG is of exceptional quality and variety.
Thank you to all for taking such good care of my Grandad and reliving the pressure and worry I had for him. You were all a great source of support for me too and I'm really grateful to you all.
Reply from Shweta Mendon, Home Manager at Bentley Grange Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a lovely review about your Grandad's stay with us.
We are thrilled to hear that he had another fantastic experience during his respite care. Knowing that we could provide you with peace of mind and relieve some of that pressure means the world to our team.
I will be sure to pass on your kind words to Eleanor, Chloe, and our kitchen staff. They will be so happy to know their hard work and care made such a difference for your family.
Thank you again for trusting us to look after your Grandad and we look forward to seeing you soon.

The staff at The Wharf are very pleasant and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. My mother moved in following 2 strokes in quick succession. Within a month her health and wellbeing had improved tremendously, thanks to the attentive care she has received. We held a tea party on my mother's birthday
and the hositality manager went above and beyond - even serving refreshments while I looked after the guests ensuring the day was special. She has a lovely care assistant who brightens up my mother's day with her cheery disposition. Overall, everyone is very accommodating and I'm pleased we chose the wharf for my mother's care.

My mother as been in princess lodge since feb and my mum has recently passed away. The care she was given in her last days of life was absolutely outstanding and i can never thank you enough for the care and support you gave my mother and myself and family.
Everyone was so professional, caring and
supportive in the last stages of her life. All staff was amazing but i need to just gave a extra special thanks to nurse Marjorie, and carer aakansha who was so special and her bedside maner was beautiful. They had a little special bond. This is something i will never forgot. Also unfortunately im unsure of her name but she cared for mum the last 2 night shift of her life, she also was amazing.
Racheal the receptionist is so much more than a receptionist she made sure we was well looked after and supported us as a family with all her heart, and stayed with us untill the end. I will be for ever thankful to all of you.

Park Springs Care Home

My husband moved into this home last year. The staff and management go above and beyond looking after their residents. The home itself is spotless and never smells unlike some I had visited prior to choosing this one. Like most relatives I was worried about putting my husband into any care home, but
I'm very glad I chose Parksprings. From the first day my husband has been made to feel at home and the staff are fabulous. (Although probably underpaid, and no, no one bribed me to mention this). Having looked after my husband at home for over 3 years I am only too well aware of how difficult it can be to do so. I take my hat off to all the staff I think they do a wonderful job in difficult circumstances, but are always welcoming and friendly.

I am immensely proud of my team, and it feels wonderful to have this recognition of them all.

Birch Heath Lodge

from Catherine C (Daughter of Resident) published on 1 July 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
When my mum came to Birch Heath Lodge, it was a very difficult decision for our family, as it often is when a loved one moves into care. However, throughout the years that mum lived there, we saw just how settled and happy she became. She truly loved the staff who cared for her and the home itself.
It
is hard to fully express how much the care, love, dignity and attention she received meant to us. My mum herself had been a matron caring for the elderly, and myself a clinical nurse for 32 years, I feel I can honestly say the standard of care she received was exceptional.
Everyone was always so friendly, caring and kind -not only to mum, but also to us as a family, especially on the more difficult days when visiting could be emotional. The home always had such a warm, welcoming atmosphere, with many staff having worked there for years, which says a great deal in itself.
Never once did I feel worried or upset about leaving my mum in their care, and for that we will always be truly grateful.
Reply from Tina Routledge, Home Manager at Birch Heath LodgeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt and touching review.
We know that making the decision for a loved one to move into a care home can be incredibly difficult, and it means so much to us to hear that your mum truly felt at home at Birch Heath Lodge.
Your kind words about the care your mum received are deeply appreciated, as it is especially meaningful coming from someone with such extensive experience in nursing. Supporting residents and their families through both joyful and emotional days is at the heart of what we do, and your feedback will mean a great deal to everyone here.
It was a privilege to be part of her life, and we send our warmest wishes to you and your family.

It is a joy to see how my godmother is flourishing at White Rose Lodge. She is enjoying her view of the sea, watching the birds in the garden and the people going to the beach. She joins in the activities each day and has been on an outing. She chats with other residents and the carers. All the staff
are excellent. They listen carefully to residents and respond compassionately to their individual needs. They are always welcoming. And the food is lovely!
