Deepdene is a purpose-built care home with 66 comfortable en-suite rooms designed to meet a wide range of residential and nursing needs, including care for those living with dementia. The dedicated team of staff strive to provide the highest standards of care in a homely and supportive environment.

The home is divided into smaller units over three floors, all with self-contained living accommodation providing a more homely environment and friendly community for residents. Facilities include spacious lounge areas, dining rooms, quiet lounge areas for relaxation and a hair salon. The large enclosed courtyard garden offers a peaceful oasis for residents to relax and enjoy during the warmer months, in a secure and safe environment.

Deepdene benefits from a busy social and activity programme with a wide variety of daily activities. The activity team work hard to offer a wide range of stimulating activities that are both engaging and fun, with something for everyone.

Centrally located in a convenient and accessible area of Dorking with excellent transport links, the home is well connected for both local journeys and travelling further afield with Dorking train station less than half a mile away.

I thank my lucky stars there was a room at Deepdene for my mother. Staff very kind and helpful. They are a wonderful team. Activities take place daily, are interesting and varied. Menus are inviting and nutritious. I will treasure the friendship given to me by the staff, and all the care they gave to
my mother. Many of the staff gave a lot of thought to my mother's needs and happiness, and tried many different ways to give her as much comfort as possible. I had special time with my mother every day at Deepdene, thanks to the help and care of the staff.

Mum was made most welcome, this had an instant impact on her mood and wellbeing, staff are fantastic and visitors are made instantly comfortable, great food, great atmosphere, great coffee and the building is hotter than the sun. First class.

Excellent care home especially the staff who are warm and welcoming. From Alison on the front desk to the staff on the first floor.
The 4 rather than 5 star is: the room was often cluttered with equipment and supplies and the rooms were very hot during the heatwaves this summer. There were times when
it might have helped my father if the food had been cut into smaller pieces. Appreciate there is only so much the staff can achieve in the day.
I have seen the staff interacting with the residents and relatives with compassion and care and Deepdene feels calm when visiting.
I have also not found it difficult to find someone to help or talk to.

Gives the family peace of mind that all care is being attended to for a very dear brother .

From walking threw the door being greeted by Allison or Maria the loverly receptionist was a great start to everybody's visits.The place is such a loverly well kept friendly place,every person that works there are brillant.My dad is so happy with his excellent care,which takes a big strain off my shoulders,we

We have always found all staff to be very professional and courteous, everyone always has a friendly smile and says Hello no matter how busy they are. The home is very clean and tidy and the team have always accomodated all my mum's needs. They made her feel at home straight away when this became her
home back in January 2025. My mum has flourished being in the home and has put on weight as she is eating properly now and is looking so much better in herself. She loves the activities and takes part in as many as she possibly can. Mum is leading a much fully and positive life now. The nursing team have been great and looking after mum and dealing with her large list of health conditions and working with mum's existing local GP with any issues. I cannot recommend the home enough and we are extremely grateful to them.

I have experienced Great communication with regular updates to address concerns and provide information, Outstanding medical support has been provided in conjunction with the surgery next door. The staff are very caring and there is always a warm welcome as a visitor.

My mum has been a resident at Deepdene since April 2025. All the staff have made the transition from another care home seamless. Everyone you come into contact with from reception, nursing and care staff and management are always welcoming and kind. My brother and I deeply appreciate the care that mum
has been given since she arrived which is constantly changing as her Alzheimer's progresses almost daily. The level of care to her changing needs has been so very reassuring for us, we know she could not be in better hands.

Such a positive experience. The staff were really caring. Nothing was too much trouble. There was never a grumpy look and staff often went above and beyond their duty. They always seemed to understand his needs and I was always made aware of any changes in his health. The only minor thing was lack of
fresh fruit.

Such a lovely care home. Mum has so many activities to join and she enjoys them all. The staff are very smiley and welcoming. I do not feel that mum has any concerns. Neither do I. Love the new reception area.

Moving our Mum to Dorking Deepdene has proved to be a great decision as she has been cared for so well by the staff since she arrived here 10 months ago. Staff are patient, understanding and professional and we have the peace of mind that Mum is safe and well looked after.

Deepdene is a very happy place, we have felt confident that mum was being looked after extremely well. The staff are very caring and attentive, always happy to go that extra mile. The rooms are comfortable and cosy. Mum has always enjoyed the dining experience with good food and friends. Activities
are well thought out, although mum's eyesight has been poor, she was still encouraged to join in.

I find this Care Home is excellent in all areas. The welcome is always the same and feels like you are special.
The Care Staff really do care and look after my husband extremely well.
His room is very clean and he looks neat and tidy at all times.
The food is well presented and looks appetising.

My Dad has been a resident of Deepdene Care Centre since December 2024.All the staff have made the transition from another Care Home a lot easier than we thought.My Dad has settled in very well here which has been nice to see.All the staff including the Receptionist, Nurses,Carers & of course the Managerial
Staff have all helped my Dad to settle in.The Home is very comfortable & feels very homely & the staff are very welcoming when we visit offering tea/coffee & cake.

My wife and I visited my mother, on September 2nd 2024. Mum had been at Deepdene since the beginning of 2024. She began to decline between the 2nd and 11th of September, passing peacefully in her room on Wednesday evening. Our interaction with the staff was quite wonderful. Every member of staff we
came into contact with was caring, kind, gentle, concerned and warm-hearted. We interacted with 16 members of staff over the ten days that we were to sit with mum, morning, afternoon and night. The lady at reception was outstanding. Her kindness, generosity and helpful demeanour was superb. The manager was tremendous and obviously is the driving force behind this splendid team of carers. She was practical, helpful, extremely knowledgeable and so very kind and sensitive. The carer we had the most contact with was wonderful. She was always on hand to help, administer easing medication, and always with clear precise advice, that helped us all immeasurably. An outstanding Team.

I've had dealings with Deepdene since the end of 2033 when my mum arrived at the care home. From day one, management and staff have been engaged with mum's care in a most professional yet personal way. I visit often and always find excellent conditions. All the staff appear to know the current state
of play at any given time! I'm particularly comfortable with the medical aspect of the care.
Whenever I point out where some help or input is needed, it's dealt with immediately. I'd recommend Deepdene to anyone in a similar position to me.

My mum has dementia and has been a resident at the home for just over a year. In her own words she tells me that "the food is very good and the bed very comfortable". The staff are all 100% committed to making sure that all the residents are very well looked after and treated with the dignity and respect
that they deserve. When I leave the home after visiting, a member of staff often sits with my mum for a time to make sure that she is ok. The home is beautifully clean and there are always plenty of activities going on. Having visited relatives staying at several homes in the area I can honestly say that Deepdene Care Centre is the best. The only real downside is that visitors parking is very limited however there is a large public car park about 100 metres away.

Raluca is the registered Manager at Deepdene, and joined us with a wealth of experience in the care sector. She started her career as a care assistant, and has worked in most roles found in a care home, loving every step along the way.
She says that the best part of her job is making a difference in people's lives and bringing them peace.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, diving into a good book and taking long walks with her two dogs, Sissi and Lucky.

Mirela has worked in Deepdene for the past 11 years, starting as a Trainee Nurse and progressing her career to Unit Manager, Clinical Lead and now Deputy Home Manager.

She says she loves bring a people-first approach to everything she does. Always first in line for a fancy dress costume and encouraging the people that live with us to explore their interests and discover new ones.

Job Title: Lifestyle Co-ordinator Joined: 2021

Mandy has been at Deepdene for 4 years, starting as a Hairdresser, which is her passion, and then progressed to Lifestyle Co-ordinator,
She brings her skills to the Pamper Club, which she says is the highlight of her week, where she feels she can make sure everyone has moments where they feel special and loved. Mandy also loves bringing out her creative side at regular Arts and Crafts sessions.

Chinnu is one of the Lifestyle Co-ordinators at Deepdene, and has a background in teaching. She is passionate about supporting the resident's wellbeing and creating a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment.
