My auntie moved in Nov 2025 and has had a very warm welcome. The staff are very friendly and professional the staff will do anything for you. The rooms are very well presented and the home is very clean and welcoming. The food is tasty. Plenty of activities to do including trips out every other month.
Situated in a lovely little village just outside Chester.

My father was admitted as an emergency admission two weeks ago from the time of arrival my father was treated wtih respect, empathy and professionalism. All staff are caring and supportive and have answered any questions openly and have shown commitment to resolve any issues. I am more than happy with
the quality of service my father has received. I turn up at all hours and have always found staff to be attentive and professional at all times. Well done!

Room is beauitful and always kept clean. Staff are brilliant. They engage with my mum and always make her laugh. They are kind, caring and always friendly. Her care is the best. I always get a good welcome. My mum really likes everyone. The food is fantastic. Hope Green is in a different league to the
other 2 homes my mum was in. I can't fault a thing and that's very rare for me!
Reply from Rachel Harris, Home Manager at Hope Green Care HomeThank you for taking the time to leave a review. Its great to hear your positivity and really makes us determined to continue to provide the best service we can. My brother went to Cavendish Court Care Home on Monday, 12th January 2026 for respite care and assessment for future living arrangements.
When we arrived, we were clearly expected and greeted by Karen on Reception and introduced to both the Care Home Manager and Assistant Manager; the warm and welcoming
atmosphere was apparent. We were shown to my brother's room, which required some minor re-arrangement due to right sided weakness, this was undertaken quickly and efficiently, again with obvious concern to ensure the layout was totally suitable for my brother.
We were introduced to the support and hospitality team, again, they were exceptionally welcoming, showed a genuine interest in my brother and were clearly keen to make him feel welcome, comfortable and provide reassurance that he would be well cared for.
From arriving to my husband and I leaving, we were totally impressed, we were also very reassured by "visit whenever you like, no appointments required" - what an open policy
Reply from Leanne Brunt, Home Manager at Cavendish Court Care HomeThank you for your very kind review Andrea, its lovely to hear this as its important to us that our residents feel at home and are happy here. We know it can be a daunting and difficult time moving into a new environment with new faces but we do our best to make this transition as smooth as possible for all involved. It's been such a pleasure having your brother reside with us. I will be sure to feedback to the staff your wonderful comments. Thank you again for taking time out to leave this review.

My mother was in Clarendon Court Care Home for her last few days. The staff have all been professional but also warm, loving and comforting to me at what is a very difficult emotional time. The staff here are so dedicated and carry out one of the most important jobs in society wtih love and dignity
to the residents and their family and friends.
Reply from Helen Chesters, Home Manager at Clarendon Court Care HomeThank you for taking the time to write this review. I am pleased that your experience of Clarendon Court was a positive one despite the difficult circumstances. It was a pleasure to meet you and a privilege to be trusted to care for your Mother.

I can not thank all the staff enough for all the care, compassion and love they have given to my mother-in-law while she was in their care and the same care and love for my wife at this sad time, from the cleaners to carers/nurses and management you have all gone above and beyond in what you have done
for my family and we will be forever grateful, we were so lucky finding such a wonderful care home for my mother-in-laws final days.
Thank you for being such great people.
Reply from Michael Grimes, Home Manager at Carmel Lodge Care HomeThank you for your kind review, we really do appreciate your words, and we will make sure to pass this on to our wider team.

My mum lived at Cavendish Court Care Home for over six years. She was cared for admirably and always treated all the staff as her friends. She always said she felt safe and well cared for and enjoyed all the activities provided. Towards the end of her life she became more and more reliant on the staff
for help and support. They delivered their duties with grace and compassion. They always showed respect and true caring.
Reply from Leanne Brunt, Home Manager at Cavendish Court Care HomeThank you for your kind words it really means a lot to us. It was an honour to have your mum living here with us, and being part of her life was a privilege. She was such a wonderful lady, and she was always well presented and loved to wear her beautiful jewellery and all her accessories. We truly value the trust you placed in us to provide your mums care. She is greatly missed. Best wishes.

So my auntie was struggling with day to day life but wasn't over keen with the thought of going in a care home
However after a lovely visit from the fabulous Rachel whose reassuring conversation made her realise it would be a good opportunity to give it a try
Now moving on my auntie loves it and
doesn't want to leave
Full marks to all the staff for their caring and kindness in understanding everyone
Even when I visit I'm made to feel welcome by one and all
The home is always clean and the food looks great and my auntie has had no complaints
Well done to everyone at Hope Green
Reply from Rachel Harris, Home Manager at Hope Green Care HomeThanks Mfor your kind words. We know how hard it is for anyone with such a huge change in their living environment. Making the transition as smooth as possible is so important. We are working hard on engagement and socialisation which has to be led by the individual, at their own time and pace. I'm so pleased everything is certainly very positive from our perspective and more importantly from yourself and your Aunt. Please continue to keep the communication open, and we are always here to help however we can. Thanks again.

The care home my brother was in before just left him in his room alone and didnt try and socialise him, at Hope Green they bring him down and do there very best to include him and socialise him/
He looks better since hes been in there, eats all his food as he says its nice.
The place is busy, but
all the staff are always never too busy to do anything for him.
Reply from Rachel Harris, Home Manager at Hope Green Care HomeThank you for your review. I'm so pleased your experience is exactly what we hope to hear at Hope Green. The social aspect of living with us is something that we try really hard to focus on, and please continue to feedback to us at any time. Thanks again.

My dad moved into Westbourne at the start of September. When we looked round we immediately felt a very caring and home environment. The staff, very welcoming and friendly, with knowledge of dads conditions. They put us at ease straight away. This has continued since dad moved in. It has been a very
emotional time for us and we have felt supported as we navigate this new normal. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. We are very grateful for the continuing love and support.
Reply from Kelly Barlow, Home Manager at The Westbourne Care HomeThank you for your lovely comments, I will feed your comments back to all the staff. I'm glad your Dad has settled in well, he is a pleasure to care for.

Staff are always very helpfuland friendly and our mother is well attended by the staff.
She appears to be clean and well looked after, especially with hot drinks and biscuits!
Her room is always clean.
My only negative is the huge 12% rise in fees last month, to £6000 a month. I've spoken to the
Financial guy and he was very helpful.
Reply from Rachel Harris, Home Manager at Hope Green Care HomeMany thanks for your kind feedback. We are aware the increase in fees has been difficult for everyone and the anxiety and questions this has raised. We are operating in a difficult financial climate, and I'm happy that the finance team were there to support you. I appreciate your honest feedback and assure you that you are not alone in this as it's affecting the care sector as a whole. Please continue to reach out to us and myself if there is anything we can do to help. Once again, thanks for the feedback, which I will share with all departments.

My mother arrived at Birch Heath in 2017 following a serious operation that caused her dementia to worsen dramatically. Whilst the dementia did recover somewhat for a period of time, it then declined year on year. Her ability to get out of bed, never easy after the operation, was lost altogether nearly
3 years ago. At the start of October 2025 she entered "End of Life" before passing away peacefully on 9 October.
The management, the nurses, the carers and staff have all been loving and caring towards our mother, always helping and attending to her needs. The nursing care was exemplary, mum not even suffering one bedsore in the whole eight years. Many times on visiting mum I arrived to see a carer sitting with mum just chatting and making her day more interesting. Some of the carers formed strong friendships with mum, evident with her passing and the tears shed.
All I can say is a huge thank you to everyone at Birch Heath.
Reply from Tina Routledge, Home Manager at Birch Heath LodgeThank you for taking the time to leave us a review and share your experience that you have had at Birch Heath Lodge. We are so pleased that you and your loved one had a great experience. We send all our condolences to you and the rest of your family. Your mother will be missed by all at Birch Heath Lodge.

My main priority is that my sister-in-law is settled, happy and being looked after and occupied fully in her daily life. I have no concerns at all in these connections as I have always found the staff to be completely attentive and professional. They have noted that she is a keen walker and loves her
music and have planned outings for her in these respects.
I do find however that her room looks "tired" and in need of renovation and decoration.I would be happier if she had a new, more modern , roomy bed. Her ensuite bathroom is very modern, and newly refurbished.
In conclusion, I am satisfied that the care home staff are doing a tremendous job. They are always on hand to address concerns. I was delighted to see my sister-in-law's in several pictures in their monthly newsletter, looking so happy and contented.
Reply from Rachel Harris, Home Manager at Hope Green Care HomeThank you for taking the time to leave a review for Hope Green. We strive to plan our care around the individual and their specific needs. I'm delighted that this is something you are seeing in action. We have plans to develop this side of our service more and more, as this is at the heart of the Maria Mallaband strategy. We do have a programme of redecoration planned for our bedrooms and the whole home in general. We hope you will soon notice redecoration is much brighter and tailored to the choices of our residents. I will pass your comments to the team and our door is always open for feedback you provide. Thanks again.

My brother was assessed in hospital as needing Intermediate Care and moved to Cavendish Court. Since being there, his health has improved noticeably. He is more content, sleeping better, and has a lovely room with a comfortable chair to sit in during the day. He is kept beautifully clean and receives
help and encouragement with his exercises and mobility.
The staff are always available to answer any questions I have and are consistently polite and cheerful. The food is of a very high standard, and they take care to accommodate his likes and dislikes. There is a lovely, homely atmosphere where everyone looks well cared for. The home is clean and tidy, and the laundry is returned promptly.
Overall, I am very happy with the care my brother is receiving at Cavendish Court and grateful for the dedication of all the staff.
Reply from Leanne Brunt, Home Manager at Cavendish Court Care HomeThank you so much for your lovely words. We have to travel quite a distance to visit and always receive a warm welcome and a very welcome cup of tea! Hope Green is on entering a lovely period building with period fireplace in the lounge, always a good talking point! The staff always know where to find our relative and exactly what she is doing,
she is ready and waiting for our visit.

Mum seems very happy here. Staff appear observant and helpful. She loves having her hair done and being made a fuss of. She seems happy doing her own activities like knitting, wordsearch, etc. If she doesn't take part in some of the activities provided, then that is up to her as she has limited interests.
She likes being looked after here and she has a nice bedroom with a good outlook.
