My mother moved to Cedar Court after a fall and a stay in hospital. The transition from hospital was smooth and Mum has seemed to settle in well. We have visited at lots of different times and have always found Mum looking looked after. The staff have all been friendly and caring. Mum has seemed happier than she had for a while, the food and daily activities are particular highlights.

Visited my sister on her birthday, made to feel most welcome Was extremely impressed with all staff, in the way they connected with the residents and how caring and attentive they were to each and everyone, all with different needs. I would have no hesitation recommending FURZE HILL LODGE as a very happy and well run residential care home, in which you could have full confidence. Never seen my sister so happy and secure.

Review of Deepdene Care Centre from Laura T (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Our Dad went to Deepdene Care Home for end of life care. We are so grateful for the way the whole team at Deepdene mobilised to admit Dad and get his room ready at short notice when he deteriorated rapidly at home and the local hospice did not have any beds available.
Everyone at Deepdene treated him with kindness, compassion and dignity.
Overall the care home has a lovely friendly and caring atmosphere. The facilities are wonderful; the bath and shower rooms were immaculate and there is a full programme of activities to keep residents entertained and stimulated.

Thank you for helping Dad have the peaceful, pain-free death he wanted.

Mum has been at Kingsbury Court for over 3 years and whilst it wasn't an easy decision, it remains to be the right one for her. She is so settled and the care she receives is fantastic from the nursing team, carers, lifestyle and hospitality. All have her well-being at the forefront. The support to family, activities for the residents is thoughtful and enjoyable. I would have no hesitation in recommending Kingsbury and thank them for all they do.

Review of Deepdene Care Centre from Claire R (Daughter of Resident) published on 16 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My Dad was transferred to Deepdene Care Centre as he neared the end of his life. His care had become a struggle for family in their home and Deepdene provided a welcoming, safe place for him to spend his last few days. The staff were understanding and very accommodating, making Dad and our family as comfortable as possible in those last precious moments. We feel reassured that Dad received the best possible care, as he was monitored day & night and any changes in his condition were quickly acted upon. The friendly staff were approachable and couldn't do enough to help us. We are grateful to the whole team at Deepdene Care Centre. You gave Dad the dignified death he wished. Thank you.

Review of Deepdene Care Centre from Emily O (Daughter of Resident) published on 16 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
As a physiotherapist working in the NHS with over 25 years of inpatient caring experience, I can honestly say that Deepdene Care Home provided exceptional care to my father during his stay. From the moment the decision was made for him to be admitted for palliative care, the manager, deputy manager and the entire team worked incredibly hard to give him such a warm and friendly welcome.
Throughout his stay, every member of staff showed genuine compassion, empathy and understanding, not only towards my father but also towards myself and my family during a very difficult and distressing time. The care, kindness and respect shown to him never faltered, and it was clear that his comfort and dignity were always their priority.

End of life care is so important because you only get one chance to get it right. Deepdene Care Home got it right in every possible way. We will always be deeply grateful for the care and support they gave us.

Review of Cedar Court Care Home from Barbara D (Daughter of Resident) published on 15 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Mum was a resident at Cedar Court for just under 4 years, coming form Hospital after having a mild stoke so was unable to care for herself, the team at the time were excellent as i didn't know where to begin, they made her feel very welcome from day one and continued all the time she was there, until she passed last month.
the level of care to mum and all there was outstanding and always very compassionate even with some of the more difficult residents. the whole care home works as one large Family where they all support each other. the staff where always friendly even if they had never met you before.

We felt happy that we left Mum there for her final days as we knew the care she would get would be no better than there, and after her passing i still felt welcomed to say my thanks to everyone for all the care that they had given her and given us peace of mind that we could go back to being her Daughters and not carers.

Review of Deepdene Care Centre from C S (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Our mother was only at Deepdene Care for 4 months after having to move from her previous care home but the care / nursing and kindness provided and the communication with her family have been really excellent..

The partnership working with the GP practice based next door is really proactive..

Our mother wasn't really able to partake in the home community activities but the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and as a regular observer there was alot on offer.
The environment is nice and well furnished too with a lovely lounge and a family visiting room if required..

So thank you to all involved Deepdene Care

Review of Kingsbury Court Care Home from E S (Friend of Resident) published on 4 June 2026 Submitted via Postal Card

I can recommend this CH for everybody who needs help for family or friends. It's coming in a high level. Staff treat clients as a part of family, share a hobby, organise trips, offer wonderful companionship, deeply understand direct needs (they organise lovely concerts (very often)), music, games. Staff remember about clients' birthdays. Also gives high quality service, such as personal care or healthy food. They work with big hearts, empathetic. They are lovely friends for each of the clients.

Review of Bridge House Care Home from Ian T (Son of Resident) published on 26 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Debora and the team at Bridge House were absolutely fantastic. Prior to the stay they listened carefully to my Dad's requirements and to ensure they could meet his needs. During his stay he was looked after very well and he was made to feel at home very quickly. Nothing was too much trouble. We had issues getting various supplies from the pharmacy and they pursued all options to ensure he got what he needed. Highly recommended.

Review of Deepdene Care Centre from Stephen W (Son of Resident) published on 30 April 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mum, Linda was in Deepdene Care Centre for almost one year. She had the best 11 months of her life. The home made mum immediately welcome and I felt content from my very first visit that they would look after mum with all the care and attention she deserved.

She had an amazing time there, taking part in all activities that she could. The management team and care staff could not do anymore for mum. They treated her with so much love and respect.

I will also be eternally grateful to everyone at Deepdene. They gave my mum a new lease of life and she loved every minute there. Towards the end of her life, they could not have been kinder to her and her family. She ended her life well looked after and cared for by the team at Deepdene.

I can only speak about the home with the highest of regard possible and can highly recommend Deepdene to anyone considering going into a care home or looking at a care home for a lover one.

Deepdene should be used as a benchmark for other homes.
