My Dad was transferred to Deepdene Care Centre as he neared the end of his life. His care had become a struggle for family in their home and Deepdene provided a welcoming, safe place for him to spend his last few days. The staff were understanding and very accommodating, making Dad and our family as
comfortable as possible in those last precious moments. We feel reassured that Dad received the best possible care, as he was monitored day & night and any changes in his condition were quickly acted upon. The friendly staff were approachable and couldn't do enough to help us. We are grateful to the whole team at Deepdene Care Centre. You gave Dad the dignified death he wished. Thank you.
Reply from Awais Baluch, Home Manager at Deepdene Care CentreThank you for taking the time to write this review of Deepdene, especially at such a difficult time for your family.
We were privileged to be able to care for your father and were fortunate to have the support of our wider care community to assist when he most needed it.
On behalf of the whole Deepdene team, thank you for choosing us, your kind words mean a great deal to us all.

As a physiotherapist working in the NHS with over 25 years of inpatient caring experience, I can honestly say that Deepdene Care Home provided exceptional care to my father during his stay. From the moment the decision was made for him to be admitted for palliative care, the manager, deputy manager
and the entire team worked incredibly hard to give him such a warm and friendly welcome.
Throughout his stay, every member of staff showed genuine compassion, empathy and understanding, not only towards my father but also towards myself and my family during a very difficult and distressing time. The care, kindness and respect shown to him never faltered, and it was clear that his comfort and dignity were always their priority.
End of life care is so important because you only get one chance to get it right. Deepdene Care Home got it right in every possible way. We will always be deeply grateful for the care and support they gave us.
Reply from Awais Baluch, Home Manager at Deepdene Care CentreThank you for taking the time to write this review of Deepdene, especially at such a difficult time for your family.
It was an honour and a privilege to care for your father during his transitional period. We were fortunate to have the support of our wider community - including our GP, the local hospice, and the CHC team, all of whom helped make his care possible.
On behalf of the Deepdene team and myself, thank you for choosing us and for sharing your kind words. Your appreciation means a great deal.

Mum was a resident at Cedar Court for just under 4 years, coming form Hospital after having a mild stoke so was unable to care for herself, the team at the time were excellent as i didn't know where to begin, they made her feel very welcome from day one and continued all the time she was there, until
she passed last month.
the level of care to mum and all there was outstanding and always very compassionate even with some of the more difficult residents. the whole care home works as one large Family where they all support each other. the staff where always friendly even if they had never met you before.
We felt happy that we left Mum there for her final days as we knew the care she would get would be no better than there, and after her passing i still felt welcomed to say my thanks to everyone for all the care that they had given her and given us peace of mind that we could go back to being her Daughters and not carers.

Our mother was only at Deepdene Care for 4 months after having to move from her previous care home but the care / nursing and kindness provided and the communication with her family have been really excellent..
The partnership working with the GP practice based next door is really proactive..

Our

mother wasn't really able to partake in the home community activities but the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and as a regular observer there was alot on offer.
The environment is nice and well furnished too with a lovely lounge and a family visiting room if required..
So thank you to all involved Deepdene Care

I can recommend this CH for everybody who needs help for family or friends. It's coming in a high level. Staff treat clients as a part of family, share a hobby, organise trips, offer wonderful companionship, deeply understand direct needs (they organise lovely concerts (very often)), music, games. Staff
remember about clients' birthdays. Also gives high quality service, such as personal care or healthy food. They work with big hearts, empathetic. They are lovely friends for each of the clients.

Debora and the team at Bridge House were absolutely fantastic. Prior to the stay they listened carefully to my Dad's requirements and to ensure they could meet his needs. During his stay he was looked after very well and he was made to feel at home very quickly. Nothing was too much trouble. We had
issues getting various supplies from the pharmacy and they pursued all options to ensure he got what he needed. Highly recommended.

My mum, Linda was in Deepdene Care Centre for almost one year. She had the best 11 months of her life. The home made mum immediately welcome and I felt content from my very first visit that they would look after mum with all the care and attention she deserved.

She had an amazing time there, taking

part in all activities that she could. The management team and care staff could not do anymore for mum. They treated her with so much love and respect.
I will also be eternally grateful to everyone at Deepdene. They gave my mum a new lease of life and she loved every minute there. Towards the end of her life, they could not have been kinder to her and her family. She ended her life well looked after and cared for by the team at Deepdene.

I can only speak about the home with the highest of regard possible and can highly recommend Deepdene to anyone considering going into a care home or looking at a care home for a lover one.

Deepdene should be used as a benchmark for other homes.

Me and my family cannot recommend Kingsbury highly enough. We recently moved my mother from another home and could not be happier with how she was made to feel welcome by all the staff. The transition was handled with professionalism and care. The home has great facilities; warm, comfortable rooms,
a different lounge for entertainment, a hairdresser and even a cinema room. I have also been so impressed with the variety and taste of the meals. The nursing staff are professional and attentive, the carers are all very kind and patient, and management has been extremely helpful and efficient. I would highly recommend this home.
Reply from Jose Pinto, Home Manager at Kingsbury Court Care HomeThank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback. We are pleased that your mum's move to Kingsbury Court was handled with professionalism and care, and that your mother feels welcomed and well cared for. We appreciate your compliments on our facilities, meals, and the dedication of our nursing staff, carers, and management. Your endorsement means a great deal to us, and we remain committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care and to supporting families throughout their journey with us.

Dad moved into Cedar Court in Cranleigh in October 2024 until January 2026. During his time there he was able to out on trips, join in a wide variety of activities and local churches came into the home for services and this was important for my dad. As his daughter I was able to join him on occasions.
Nothing was too much trouble if I needed some information. Sometimes we had problems with dad's hearing aids as he couldn't fit them himself and not all staff seemed aware of how to fit a hearing aid and how to check the batteries; however staff worked to improve this. I would recommend naming all belongings as well as clothing and keeping a copy of what your family member may have with them.
Staff were amazing and I always felt like we were part of the Cedar court family. I can't thank the staff enough, especially at the end for being there for me . This was the right place for dad.
Reply from Jose Pinto, Home Manager at Cedar Court Care HomeThank you for taking the time to write this wonderful review. We're so glad your dad enjoyed the activities, trips, and church services during his time with us, and that you felt part of the Cedar Court family.
