The staff are always approachable, helpful and friendly. They all know my mam, what helps to make her feel safe, cared for and happy. The events staff keep the positive energy up and my mam loves getting involved in the activities.

So pleased with the outcome of mams mood, she seems happier and keen to join in. I hope the sun shines soon so she can sit in the garden (hopefully with garden games), then she would feel she has been out for the day.
Compared to last year in assisted living, mam is clean, always dressed, smiling,
and not so depressed, so you've done a great job.

I was unsure about moving my mam into full time care, but it has been the best for both of us.
The colleagues and management ensure my mams needs are fully met while trying to also engage her in activities.
The pressure on me was removed within a week.

Mam's care is generally very good. She appears to be happy, although does not always want to join in activities.
She enjoys the food and has a good choice. Communications with staff has improved greatly over the last few months.
The regular staff are very friendly and Mam enjoys their company and
chat.
Thanks everyone for taking good care of her.
Reply from Nicola Bell, Home Manager at Earsdon Grange Care HomeThank you so much for sharing this. It's lovely to hear that your mam feels happy, well cared for, and supported by the regular team. We're really glad communication has improved and that she's enjoying the food and activities in her own way. Your kind words mean a lot to everyone here.

The 'Resident of the day' idea is good. One day a month for special attention.
Reply from Nicola Bell, Home Manager at Earsdon Grange Care HomeThank you for highlighting this. We're really glad to hear the Resident of the Day approach feels meaningful and adds something special to the month. It's helpful to know it's landing well, and we appreciate you taking the time to share that.

Carers and staff providing the support and care to my father is excellent. Cleanliness of the room and facilities is good, however, the room is very basic.
The opportunity to attend activities and events is very good. The entertainment person (Sarah) is berry good and attentive. Overall good.

My sister Dawn and I come in quite often and have the best laughs in here, staff and residents are hilarious sometimes. Mum loves dancing, music, and socialising with the residents and she is very happy here. My mum does love a lot of the activities, depending on what it is.

The whole family are so happy with the support, care and dedication all the team show. The respect and consideration our mam receives at all times is outstanding and much appreciated.
It is amazing to see how our mam has settled and is allowed to be herself, which is a testament to all the staff's
hard work. We have all been welcomed into the Earsdon Grange family. Thank you.

The staff are caring and attentive. I appreciate that they acknowledge and respond to my mother's interests and wishes. Any requests (/and repairs) are dealt with quickly and efficiently. I also like that I can tell there is always an effort to improve things in the care home rather than simply maintain
the status quo. Overall, I am impressed with Barnes Court Care Centre and recommend it when people ask about the place.
Reply from Lindsay Cheyne, Home Manager at Barnes Court Care CentreThank you so much for the review and the kind feedback. We aim to continually improve as a service and as a team to ensure our residents are given the best care, their families feel welcome and supported.

Barnes Court Care Centre

I couldn't recommend Barnes Court highly enough for the care they have given our Grandad and his dementia. We needed urgent care, and the management team were incredible. Within 24 hours everything was arranged and a bed was ready, which gave our family huge reassurance.
We were worried about how he
would settle, as he is very active and needs constant stimulation, but the staff have been absolutely brilliant with him. Before moving in, he rarely ate full meals and refused to shower. Within days, he was eating three full meals a day and showering regularly, which shows the experience and dedication of the team.
We were also concerned about losing contact, but we're encouraged to call anytime and we always receive detailed updates from all members of staff we speak to, which is very reassuring. We know he is safe, cared for, and in the best hands.
I cannot recommend Barnes Court's management and staff enough!
Reply from Lindsey, Home Manager at Barnes Court Care CentreThank you for your kind review, its always are main priority to ensure the health and happiness of our residents and to help make the transision as smooth as possible for their loved ones.

Dad has been in home for 4 months his transition from living dependantly has been difficult for him. Day staff have been excellent he has struggled with night staff due to his poor eyesight and deafness night staff have been agency with strong accents difficult to understand. Day staff are mostly perm
giving dad consistancy as they understand his difficulties. Management and administrator have been very supportive. Entertainment team very engaging and have frequent conversations with dad. On occassions not enough staff for personal care, or meal times if toileting is needed due to needing 2 carers.
Reply from Lindsey Cheyne, Home Manager at Garden Hill Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. We're pleased to hear your dad has felt supported by the day team and that management and our activities team have helped him settle. We're also grateful for your honesty about the challenges with night staffing and communication, and we'll continue working to improve consistency and ensure his needs are fully understood and met.

On our visit to view Garden Hill we instantly had a good feeling about the home itself and the staff. Since my mums admission we have experienced care, empathy, friendliness, from both staff + management. My mum has now been a resident for 2+ months and is very happy + feels comfortable in her surroundings.
Mum was had a couple of little non serious falls, communication to me was very prompt which is very reassuring. Overall we are very happy with all aspects of the home - in particular the brilliant activities managed by a wonderful activitiy co-ordinator.

My mother has been in residence for just over 1yrs there were several issues early on. I now feel very comfortable with her situation. The home is now a pleasant, comfortable and moreover safe place that is the closest to home as its ever been. The staff and management are approachable and responsive
and care now seems to be the main thing.
