My uncle was admitted to The Moors in August this year having nearly died after a fall. He received excellent nursing care and is now strengthening daily. The staff are responsive to requests, always very polite and are obviously generally happy in their work. There is a palpable family atmosphere in
the home. My uncle feels safe and well cared for.

My wife was admitted to Rosedale Nursing Home from hospital. I have been very impressed by the support and help provided during these trying days.
All of my family and my wives have commented on the care given as being of the highest standards. We are pleased with the choice we made to have my wife
looked after so well. The support provided to me and my children was excellent.

The kindness and care shown to my mother by all staff was excellent. The cleanliness of the home and my mother was outstanding. I was always greeted with smiles and warmth by the staff whenever I visited.
At the end of her life, she was treated with the upmost dignity and compassion.
I would highly
recommend Rosedale to anyone who is looking for a home for a loved one.

I can sum up my experience in one word, kindness.
The staff have such a deep reserve of kindness. They're very friendly too.
Reply from Les Marshall, Home Manager at Ashfield CourtThank you, I am so happy that Kindness is the word you used, it's not one that is used very often. We do tend to hear Caring and Loving, but the word Kindness just gives you a feeling of warmth, so once again, thank you.

My mum needed a couple of weeks' respite following a recent illness, and she had a comfortable stay in Ashfield Court Care Home. She had a lovely room with an outlook onto the courtyard and enjoyed being able to sit and watch the sky, nature and weather change. She felt safe and secure. The staff were
so kind to her, and she commented on this. She also needed a different mattress, and this was organised quickly for her, and then she had comfortable rest. There is an excellent programme of activities for residents to partake in, but Mum would have done more if she had felt well. In summary, she was well looked after, and I was happy knowing that she was in the good hands of a lovely, caring team.
Reply from Les Marshall, Home Manager at Ashfield CourtThank you so very much for your kind words, I am very glad we were able to provide your mum with a safe and caring environment, that as a team we were able to respond quickly to her needs, and that we are able to support your mum and you throughout her stay with us.

I have found the care provided for my father in law to be of a very high standard. The manager has been a Godsend in helping us navigate our way through the care system and her kind and friendly manner means she is very approachable. Another lady has been so very much hands on and a great help in so
many areas of my father in laws care. The level of care from the clinical lead is outstanding and the care shown to my father in law is second to none.

My husband has been at The Moors for eight months. He has settled very well into the routines and benefits from the consistency of the care they provide. All the staff are kind, caring and respectful, even when faced with the challenging behaviours that can come with dementia. The food is varied and
fresh; he enjoys it and eats well. The home is very clean and well organised with a good range of activities for residents. Everyone working there understands that each resident comes with an entourage. Family members and other visitors (including dogs!) are welcomed with warmth and compassion, and laughter is in plentiful supply. I have found it easy to build mutually respectful, supportive relationships with the staff: they work with us as a family to ensure that my husband is safe and as happy as he can be. The haven they provide is not just for my husband - the whole family benefits - and we are grateful for the work they do.
Reply from Sue Simpkin, Home Manager at The Moors Care CentreDear Viv, thank you for lovely review of The Moors, your husband is a delight to manage, I am so glad we are able to be his carers, and you can go back to being his wife and provide the support he requires without being exhausted yourself. Once again thank you for choosing us.

Mum was made very welcome and comfortable during her stay. The care staff and nursing staff were amazing. Always maintaining dignity and promoting choice. Throughout her stay, mum could be difficult however staff always remained patient and understanding. Everyone involved ensured that mum's end of
life was comfortable and dignified, in particular the manager and nursing staff who worked very hard to ensure the medical care was in place and appropriate. Thank you. x

Dad has lived in the dementia unit for almost four years now. He isn't the easiest of residents to deal with but each and every member of staff from the domestics up treat him with care, compassion and respect. The staff are all proficient in reading him, anticipating his needs and when to leave him
in peace. I like that the staff all have their own unique techniques to get the best out of Dad.
Although Dad refuses to participate in any of the entertainment activities within the home there is usually something happening on an almost daily basis.
Reply from Lindsey Harrison, Home Manager at Belmont HouseThank you very much Anne for your thoughtful review and kind words. It is a privilege to care for your father, and we are pleased to know that the team's professionalism, positive attitude, and compassionate approach are evident in their daily interactions. At Belmont House, we are fortunate to have a fantasic team, and we truly value the dedication they bring to their roles.

Received ample admission information and admission was very smooth and painless. I found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. Good communication with management and I was kept up to date with regards to the admission procedure.
As my mother has only just arrived, I am unable to judge anything

I cannot rate this home highly enough. They have been so supportive from the first day visiting through all the transition and then with difficult times. All the staff go above and beyond not just for the residents but for families. The home is so clean and food is lovely. Always activities for families
to join in such as mothers day and fathers day which is so important.
Residents are always so well presented and clean. The home has a lovely 'home' feeling and couldnt ask for a better care environment for our family member. Thank you to everyone at this home!!!!
