Prior to my visit, had contact with various members of staff who were extremely helpful. Following my first visit I was very impressed with the reception I received by all members of staff. I was escorted to the floor for my visit. When I spoke to members of staff for an update on my brother in law.
They were all very helpful and excellent visit from start to finish, great atmosphere. In the home mentions - Receptionists, admin staff, 1-1 carers nursing floor & nurses on duty.

Appletree Court Care Home

From the moment mum arrived (with dementia) there was a warm welcoming feel about Appletree Court. The staff are calm and caring which helped mum to settle in. Before coming to Appletree Court mum was confined to a hospital bed for her own safety. Now she gets up every day, is able to walk with aid
and has an opportunity to mix with other residents. She is well looked after, having her nails painted now and then and her hair washed and brushed. The difference in her well being is obvious which is down to the care and attention of the lovely staff at Appletree. I feel so much better knowing she is being cared for so well.

This was my first time coming to this care home to see my aunt and I was amazed at how clean, tidy and friendly the staff and environment was. My aunt seems very happy there and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed, yet very professional. The food looked really nice and smelled nice too. The day I visited,
the home manager held a 'thank you' party for all of her staff to appreciate all the hard work they do, it was great to see this. The manager is also very polite, and full of positive energy and you can see that her staff really appreciate her. Overall, it was a very good first impression and I'm happy my aunt is staying there. Well done to the manager for leading a great team.

My brother has been a resident of the home since September 2024. The home is clean and tidy. The staff are very polite and friendly, very caring and patient with my brother. When he first arrived, he was very unsettled, but within the week, I could see a difference in his personality. So happy we chose

The care and support my mother receives is excellent. When she was in hospital in May 2025, she was so unhappy and wanted to die. As soon as she came back to Parkview she was happy and has not mentioned dying since. She often tells me,' They fed us all the time'. The manager and care staff, and reception
staff are always positive and they knew everyone was and always greeted them with care and affection. Everyone who works in Parkview goes beyond their duty to help make Mum happy.

The Care Home should have more activities for the residents, as they are often asleep in the lounge due to boredom. The TV in the lounge is very old and far too small for all the residents to see. It is vital that a much bigger TV is in the lounge for the benefit of all.
There is a lot more that
the Activities Team can do to stimulate the residents instead of Bingo and colouring. They could do baking cakes, flower arranging, puzzles, picture dominoes, cards - snap etc. I donated musical CD/DVD's and games, and have not seen them used.
If they had a new modern bigger screen TV they could watch the DVD's and films and use it to play music to stimulate and engage ALL residents.
Puzzles, Dominoes and card games, picture quiz etc. can be played instead of bingo.
At weekends there are no activities at all just the tv on and residents sleeping in the lounge due to boredom.

Since the start of my grandmother's care at Knight Court in October, I have seen that the staff are very welcoming and thoughtful to ensure her care needs are met. They respond to adjustments and feedback, as well as making sure to communicate updates promptly. The living environment is very clean and
happy, whenever we visit we can that all the staff are trying their best for everyone. The care home is safe and thankfully close to home. Over time, I have seen that they have provided more support to ensure my grandma is treated well and looked after.

Staff are amazing. A few nurses could engage with residents a little more. The food is vile. Choice is limited if doing spicy give a choice, if doing a beef or chicken curry do a stew same meat different choice. When serving rice or noodles both meals choices should not have them. Food presentation
is awful. I try not to be here at meal times it upsets me so much.

Thank you for your feedback, and we are pleased to say that we have noted previous shortfalls in our dining experience and have since ensured that staff underwent training and also listened to resident feedback. Since then, we have received little to no complaints about the food from our residents and families that also dine with us.If you would like to discuss this further, my door is always open
