Ashmead Care Centre

from Simon C (Friend of Resident) published on 9 June 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My dear friend Captain James sadly passed away on Wednesday 25th March and I duly attended his funeral at the Crematorium last Monday, 11th May.

I developed a habit of visiting him nearly every Sunday afternoon for approx 5 years and was always struck by both the general cleanliness of the environment

in the Ashmead Care Home and the friendliness and efficiency of all of the staff looking after him.

Very many thanks indeed for making the last few years of his life so comfortable and easy !!!

Yours sincerely,
Simon. xxx

This was our first visit to the Parkview House Care Home. We came from Ireland, RE Shannon to Stansted, train-tube-bus-walk to see our 99-year-old aunt who has been very sick over the last couple of months and now in the care home. We were to stay for 1-2 hours approx but finished after 4 hours and
three-quarters. I am amazed at the warm heartfelt love and care given by all the staff we met. It was like an aura of peace, love and real genuine care from the staff who really enjoy their work. We had a 3-course lunch with Auntie and as good as you would receive at a 4-star hotel. House Care Home at it's best by descrip. You are a lovable team of carers. 10/10.tion

Ruby has a nice room, is happy with the food and likes most of the staff, and they are nice to me too!
I wish that residents were encouraged to do more activities, going out into the garden and doing exercise (there doesn't seem to be any sort of gym). It would also be good if there were a couple of
seating areas somewhere for a couple of visitors to sit when visiting residents.
Reply from Fatima Totanes, Home Manager at Heritage Care CentreThank you so much for your kind words about our care team. We are pleased that your friend feels safe and well supported in her home.
We appreciate your suggestion regarding the need for more varied activities. We are always striving to expand our schedule and make it as stimulating as possible for everyone, as we completely agree that engaging and meaningful activities are essential to the people that live with us.
Our Lifestyle Coordinator is currently planning new seasonal activities and programmes to introduce more variety, and we will be sure to introduce your ideas to the schedule.
Thank you again for helping us make Heritage a better place to live.

Mum has been a resident since September and as a whole we as a family feel very satisfied with the care she is receiving. Mum's health is going downhill but at any time Daniella or Rose will always be happy to answer any questions and reassure us. Erica is a wonderful member of staff who keeps the room
spotless. Janice on reception is always welcoming with a big smile. Thank you to all for the amazing work you all do.

Knights Court Nursing Home

from L S (Daughter of Resident) published on 11 May 2026

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
Care and nursing staff are good, home is kept clean. Staff are friendly and welcoming. It is disappointing that the large garden is not used well. It is in need of improvement. Maintenance is generally very poor. The ceiling light in my mother's room has needed fixing for over a week. A very stiff tap
for even longer. This is unacceptable and not having a working light is dangerous. This is not a complex matter to fix and should have been done the same day.
Reply from Rita Aujila, Home Manager at Knights Court Nursing HomeThank you for your feedback. Were sorry for the delay you experienced. The main hold-up was that we had to wait for the replacement part needed to repair the light, which unfortunately took longer than expected to arrive. Throughout the process, we kept in contact with you immediately both during the repair period and once everything was resolved. As soon as the parts arrived, we completed the light repair and also fixed the tap at the same time. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we worked to get everything resolved properly. Please let us know if theres anything further we can help with.

Our Mum was well liked at the care home, which meant a lot to us. If ever we had a problem, we made sure we always went to the Manager ( there were 2 during our time there ) sometimes we felt that we were listened to but things didn't always get sorted, until we reported the problem again. One particular
Nurse always took the time to keep us up to date with our Mums medical / daily care.
Sadly, Mum passed away this year, aged 102, she was treated with dignity & so were we.
Reply from Cathriona Carey, Home Manager at Chestnut Court Care HomeThank you for sharing such heartfelt feedback. Knowing she was treated with dignity and kindness throughout her time with us is something the whole team will deeply appreciate.

The staff were very welcoming. They looked after my father very well. They were very good with keeping his medication up to date. They took the time to sit and feed him his meals. Always made sure there were drinks available throughout the day. The food was very good. If I need a care home at the end,
I would hope to come to this one.

My parents moved into Appletree Court together in May 2023. They have been well looked after, in this warm, homely environment, with all their care needs met. Staff are kind, caring and approachable at all times.

Sadly, my dad passed away in January 2026 after a short illness. Iqbal and his team

have shown such kindness and compassion to mum, and us all as a family, since our loss. Mum continues to be very well cared for and supported on a daily basis.

Thank you so much Iqbal and all the care staff at Appletree Court.

From the moment she entered Eltandia, I felt that my mum was well cared for. All of the staff were helpful and friendly, genuinely seemingly to care for not only my mum, but also the rest of the family. There was a real sense of community and family surrounding the home. They were also always open to
ideas about how to improve residents' experiences. My mum was always clean and well looked after; I felt completely confident about her care. When my mum passed away, she and our family were treated with care and compassion. It felt as though our loss was very much felt by the staff at the home.
