My 1st impression was how well maintained the gardens and carpark. Inside, very clean and fresh. The staff I met on the day were friendly and very approachable. The bedrooms were clean and not cluttered. The dining room is set up like a restaurant with a good selection on the menu. All in all, I was
very satisfied that my sister's mother-in-law was well looked after. I got the impression the motto of person centered, was very much in place here.

Our mum was a resident at E.H for 7 years. It became her home + family. She was treated with kindness respect dignity compassion and love. From day one we were able to sleep at night with the knowledge she was in safe hands. All of the staff are just amazing always there ready to answer any questions
and gave us support. We would be notified with any concerns and updated. Mum could't had been in a better place. With heartfelt thanks, simply the best that what they are at E.H.

There are not enough adjectives to describe the way the home looked after my mother especially as she entered the last few days. Eltandia is full of love and support for both the resident and their family. My mum felt like a queen, the way staff treated her even down to the chef making food (doughnuts)
especially for mum. All the care in the final hours has carried out respectful at mum's dignity. Eltandia is truly a special place staffed by very special people. 10 out of 10.
Reply from Frey Agyeman, Home Manager at Eltandia Hall Care CentreThank you so much for your beautiful and touching review. Your words about how we cared for your mother, especially during her final days, have moved our entire team profoundly.
We believe that every resident deserves to feel valued, loved, and treated with dignity, and we're deeply honoured that your mum felt like a queen in our care. It's touching to hear about the special touches, like our chef making doughnuts - these small gestures are part of how we show our residents and their families how much they mean to us.
Your five-star rating and heartfelt words are the highest praise we could receive. Thank you for trusting us with your mother's care.

Every time I visit, usually weekly, I find the home to be clean, welcoming and the staff are always happy, pleasant and a pleasure to be around. The actual staff are the biggest asset.

My father has been a resident since 2018. By far, this is the best care home. Staff are friendly and caring, and they look after my dad well. I'd like my father to be involved in more brain activities. Food is halal, which is great. The atmosphere and safety are very important to us. Thank you, best
staff ever.

My mother in law had become very homely and confused at home. Since she has been at home she says she is "very happy". She has lots of company, lovely meals in the restaurant and very kind, patient staff looked after her.

I cannot fault the care and compassion shown to my mother during the 10 months she was a resident at Eltandia Hall. In particular the palliative care she received during the final few weeks was a great comfort to her family. All the caring staff and management treated my mother with respect and were
very friendly and supportive to the family.

My aunt looks healthier and happier than I have seen her in 2-3 years. She enjoys having company and says she feels much safer here than living on her own. She enjoys the food and says life is so much easier since she doesn't have to worry about shopping and cooking.
I will be 100% less worried about
her now!

My mother-in-law is currently a resident and we have been very pleased with the standard of care she receives.
Her room is always clean and tidy, with bedding regularly changed. There are regular carers who are friendly and have taken the time to really get to know her. Although my mother-in-law has
dementia she enjoys watching the activities in the day room. Great nutritious food. Lovely atmosphere!

I would like to express my thanks for all the kindness that the staff at Eltandia have shown my mum during her stay since she first went there up until now. It is lovely to know that my brother and I can feel confident that even faces that she may not always see (now she has moved from the residential
to the nursing unit) take the time to speak to her, which is so good for her wellbeing. She recently had her 99th birthday, it was great that relatives and staff contributed on the day. Thank you.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.581)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.581) out of 10 for Eltandia Hall Care Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 19 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.631 for Eltandia Hall Care Centre is calculated as follows: ( (148 Excellents x 5) + (66 Goods x 4) + (8 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 222 Ratings = 4.631
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.95 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Eltandia Hall Care Centre is based on 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.95
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 83 registered maximum number of service users is 16.6, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
