Appletree Court Care Home

Mum has trouble with mobility and can't really join in with activities but the activities staff still pay mum a visit and invite her or inform her what is going on. The Food is of excellent standard. Well done Apple Tree.

Our father very happily resided at Appletree Court for six and a half years until his recent death, regarding it as his home and the staff as his other family. The level of care and kindness shown towards him has been exceptional and we cannot thank everyone at Appletree enough for all that they did to make his life rewarding and comfortable during his last years. The rooms are comfortable, nicely furnished and welcoming and there is a pretty garden where he very much enjoyed spending time. He took part in the many activities on offer and made the most of them all, giving him a richer life and allowing him to get to know other residents. Birthdays and all the major festivals are celebrated, usually with cake and singing. Always lots going on to interest everyone. The staff are friendly and looked after the family as well when we visited as we do not live locally, and were especially kind during his final illness. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for everything.

I am very pleased with the care and kindness shown to my both parents. The staff are excellent - caring, dedicated and particularly good at supporting residents with dementia. It is clear that they genuinely care about the people they look after. The highlight was my dad's 91st birthday. The staff went above and beyond, dressing in saris, playing Indian music and creating a wonderful celebration. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and both my parents had a really special and memorable day. The nursing staff are very good. There is a new team in, so a few minor things that are still settling especially with my mother who has many issues and she has only been there a couple of months. Food has been a challenge, as my parents are Asian and very used to Indian home cooking. I hope this will improve with time. For now I take some home-cooked food in a couple of times a week so they can enjoy some familiar home comforts. Overall, I am very grateful for the care that they are receiving.

Our dear husband and dad resided in Appletree for 18 months until his sad passing last year. We still visit Appletree to see the staff and we find it very comforting. We always receive a very warm welcome from reception staff, managers, care workers and cleaners. Appletree is always a relaxing, calm and extremely clean place. We cannot thank Appletree enough. We always ' sing its praises' to family, friends and neighbours.

I have been here for just over 2 1/2 years, and consider the top management (manager/sub manager) to be most helpfull and top professional in their positions. (This applies also to the last manager). The above also applies to the nursing staff and carers who are generally fantastic. I consider myself lucky to be here in my last days.

Appletree is a home from home everyone is friendly, the home is very clean and smells nice

The building and facilities are good but the garden could do with a bit more attention.

My Mother has lived at Appletree Court Care Home for almost 4 years. The home has a warm welcoming environment. I have always found the staff & management to be professional, kind, caring, and very dedicated! The home is very well maintained and clean. The food offered is excellent and good quality, if you make a request the Chef is very accommodating. The activities provided by the staff are excellent and well suited to each residents' needs. There are many visitors from the local community the hairdresser, the chiropodist & the Vicar who calls weekly, which is a great comfort to my Mother. The home celebrates many festivals with live entertainment and parties with amazing decorations. I am very happy that my Mother is so well cared for and that is why I would highly recommend Appletree Court Home.

Overall not bad, couple of issues the big lift has been out of action for sometime now which makes it very difficult to take my dad into the garden because he uses the big chair. I also think the portion size of Dads meals could be bigger or more variety.

My elderly father has lived at Appletree Court for six years. He considers Appletree his home, he is comfortable there and is cared for to a very high standard. The staff are kind knowledgeable and attentive. The home is well managed and appropriately staffed.

Excellent care services given to my wife.

My parents moved into Appletree Court together in May 2023. They have been well looked after, in this warm, homely environment, with all their care needs met. Staff are kind, caring and approachable at all times.

Sadly, my dad passed away in January 2026 after a short illness. Iqbal and his team have shown such kindness and compassion to mum, and us all as a family, since our loss. Mum continues to be very well cared for and supported on a daily basis.

The staff at Appletree Court have always been so welcoming when I've come to visit my mother. The nurses and care staff are knowledgeable, attentive and caring, whilst being approachable whenever I have any questions or worries. The manager and admin staff in particular are organised, and deal with any worries or concerns promptly and without any issues. The staff are very attentive and have taken really good care of my mother, and I was always reassured that she was happy and well looked after when under their care.

I am so happy we selected Appletree as a care home for my mother-in-law. From the minute you enter the home, you are greeted by friendly staff. The staff are always attentive and keep you informed. The management and administration staff are excellent and willing to help explain things. The carers take pride in looking after their patients and my mother-in-law's face lit up when she saw the staff. All the staff do a fantastic job. Thank you so so much for all you do.

Visited my sister a new resident at Appletree Court. I was pleased to see she was very happy, engaged and being well.cared for.(drinking a vup.of tea and eating biscuits)

When I left she carried on as normal with other residents.

From the moment mum arrived (with dementia) there was a warm welcoming feel about Appletree Court. The staff are calm and caring which helped mum to settle in. Before coming to Appletree Court mum was confined to a hospital bed for her own safety. Now she gets up every day, is able to walk with aid and has an opportunity to mix with other residents. She is well looked after, having her nails painted now and then and her hair washed and brushed. The difference in her well being is obvious which is down to the care and attention of the lovely staff at Appletree. I feel so much better knowing she is being cared for so well.

I just want to say the staff at Appletree are so nice, the team of activities keep the resident active and involved.

My sister was in hospital & there was quire a delay finding her a home. The council said this was because of my sister's complicated diabetes. Appletree were fine to, as it were 'take her on' & deal with it. I know it was quite tricky at times so the family are most grateful. My sister was very well cared for by lovely, attentive, friendly staff & seemed like nothing was too much trouble. My sister complained a lot about the food I'm afraid so for that reason I had to put "poor" for that rating.

My brother recently moved into Appletrees to recieve residential nursing care. From my observation the nursing/caring team are very friendly and warm to my brother.
