View Full Details of Appletree Court Care HomeFrom the moment mum arrived (with dementia) there was a warm welcoming feel about Appletree Court. The staff are calm and caring which helped mum to settle in. Before coming to Appletree Court mum was confined to a hospital bed for her own safety. Now she gets up every day, is able to walk with aid and has an opportunity to mix with other residents. She is well looked after, having her nails painted now and then and her hair washed and brushed. The difference in her well being is obvious which is down to the care and attention of the lovely staff at Appletree. I feel so much better knowing she is being cared for so well.
I just want to say the staff at Appletree are so nice, the team of activities keep the resident active and involved.
My sister was in hospital & there was quire a delay finding her a home. The council said this was because of my sister's complicated diabetes. Appletree were fine to, as it were 'take her on' & deal with it. I know it was quite tricky at times so the family are most grateful. My sister was very well cared for by lovely, attentive, friendly staff & seemed like nothing was too much trouble. My sister complained a lot about the food I'm afraid so for that reason I had to put "poor" for that rating.
My brother recently moved into Appletrees to recieve residential nursing care. From my observation the nursing/caring team are very friendly and warm to my brother.
The staff are really helpful and very nice, especially 4 of the ladies. I would really like to thank them all.
Appletree Court is the nicest kindest care home I have ever seen. It is extremely well managed and the food is good. The love and care my dad gets is wonderful and appreciated. The manager runs an excellent care home. The nurse is kind caring and knowledgeable. The entertainment officer is worth her weight in gold. All of the staff are lovely and kind. A great care home.
I would like to say a huge thank you for looking after my mother during her respite care. She was looked after extremely well. All the care workers took great care of her and made sure she was comfortable during her whole stay. The home was extremely clean and the meals were delicious. My mother had a great time and felt that she was on holiday.
My father was a resident in June 2024. He was moved to Appletree Court Care Home because they needed the beds at the hospital. Because of the distance, we would not have chosen Appletree but as time went on my father settled and we as a family really liked Appletree and the staff. The rooms were homely and comfortable. Though there was not enough Gujerati speaking staff it was fine. Where my father struggled was no provision of a Gujerati meal, at 99 years old we could not ask my father to change his taste in food. We would have left our father at Appletree if it were not for the choice of food.
We have found staff to be caring and professional in their conduct. We have been provided feedback when we have asked our family member residing at Appletree Court Care Home. The manager has always been very pleasant whenever we have talked with him and comes over as a caring person. Have not commented on activities as our family member has not chosen to engage in them.
My father stayed at this care home temporarily while awaiting placement nearer family. The care he received was excellent. The home is clean, very nicely decorated and has a lovely atmosphere. The gardens provide a peaceful space but also a space for family to sit. The staff are very friendly, led by an excellent manager. The manager's office is near the front entrance so he is always available for a chat and deals with any issues promptly.
I am the nephew of a resident at this nursing home. I do regularly visit my Aunt and I must say that a lovely warm welcome is extended to all visitors. The nurses and staff alike are so kind-hearted both to visitors and resident patients, always willing to go the extra mile to help out anyone in need. On occasions I happen to be there for lunchtime, the hospitality is extended to me to join in for lunch so as to keep my Aunt company. The meals are wonderful and always well presented and most appetising. It's a real bonus to any visitor as I for one never go with the intention of expecting a meal, and to have one just makes me grateful. Finally, thank you to all who were on duty today as well as those in the past for looking after my Aunt, and for being kind to her throughout her stay. Also, the dining room staff were kind enough to extend their hospitality by offering me lunch. Blessings always.
My son got married on the 23rd of July 2024. I was supported by the staff team with my Dad. The carer was excellent. She usually does entertainment. Thanks so much from all the family.
My grandad really enjoys being at Appletree Court. The staff are very caring and put on amazing events for the residents, children and staff. Food is lovely and couldn't ask for anything better. Thank you.
My mother has been living at Appletree Court Care Home for just over one year. The home was a lovely warm, friendly and relaxing atmosphere. The leadership is excellent with safeguarding and inclusive practice of a high standard. The staff are cheerful, caring, helpful and professional. My mother is treated with dignity, compassion and respect. I cannot praise the standard of care highly enough. The home is clean and well-maintained. There is an excellent choice of food and drink suited to each individual need. I am very happy with the high standard of care.
The resident was in gradual decline over a period of time but he received good and kind care. The staff liked him and listened to his jokes. Everywhere was clean and fresh. Nothing was too much trouble. I can only thank the care home for their professionalism and special care of the individual.
Very helpful and professional support team.
International afternoon. The staff were invited to wear their native country costumes and bring food of their homelands. The 8ft long table was laden with a wide variety of delicious savoury foods the cake and tasty sweets at a separate 6ft table. The staff came in wearing their national country costumes and beautiful dresses. After eating, there was enough for all, the dancing and singing began. One lady came with her 8-year-old daughter, both dressed in Romanian national dress. The whole afternoon was a wonderful, colourful success organised by our lifestyle coordinator.
Appletree Court is a wonderful, well-run facility. My mother was a resident until she passed recently. hen my father has just become a resident too. I have worked in the care home industry but I have never seen such a clean, efficient, yet homely atmosphere. It looks like a first-class hotel, fantastic.
Excellent staff, really friendly. My dad seems really happy having been taken into care five to six weeks ago.
My brother moved to Appletree Court Care Home at the end of December 2022 and was a resident until he died at the beginning of February. During the time he was a resident the staff did everything that they could to make his life comfortable and encouraged him to mix with other residents.
