Very impressed on our first visit (delayed because of COVID). Everywhere was clean and the covid security on arriving was excellent. There was a nice atmosphere and the staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. Our relative was seen to be well cared for and treated with respect. Any enquiries over the telephone are always been dealt with.

My first experience of my father being placed at Appletree was a very nervous time and my Dad did not settle for a few weeks but with the dedicated staff and contact with me was amazing. The home goes above and beyond everything to help my father feel comfortable and is so well looked after by all. Thank you Appletree Court for your hard work and dedication. My father tells me he is extremely happy.

The care my mother received was always warm and friendly. All the staff treated her with respect and even love. Mum was often kissed and cuddled by the nurses - especially during lockdown.

My husband was accepted into Appletree Court Care Home on 14th October and passed away on 28th October 2021. His treatment was fantastic, it was like home from home. The complete staff gave him first-class care. He died peacefully. From me and all the family, a big thank you. God bless you all.

Always found the staff attentive to my mother's needs. Very cheerful and caring. The home has a relaxed atmosphere but very particular towards health and safety during the pandemic. The home is well managed with staff on hand at all times.

Appletree Court provides an exceptionally high level of care. The staff are caring, skilled, and dedicated and the care seems very tailored to the individual's personality and needs. We could not ask for more and have been very impressed from the outset.

Despite extreme circumstances (Covid 19) the home has been as accessible as it could and the staff have all been very friendly and helpful. My mother settled in very quickly. I am looking forward to when times are 'normal' and I know we will be able to come and go as we please. To see our loved ones and activities have resumed.

On first impressions, Appletree Court Care Home looked spotless and no unpleasant smells.
As soon as we arrived, we were made very welcome and were talked through safety procedures for Covid.

My aunt was genuinely happy and said that the staff were "her angels." She looked very clean and cared for, with staff checking on her and they made us feel very comfortable.

I am appalled that after 6 months in this 'home' the nursing staff cannot administer a level 5 diet to the service user and even though I have queried this since being able to visit, this still has not been rectified thus leaving the service user with little food and often hungry. No, I would never recommend this 'home'.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your review and I am sorry to hear you feel that your relative in the home is still not receiving the adequate dietary level and food. I will pass your comments on to the home and ask that they contact you to discuss your concerns so that we can rectify them.

Despite the complaints, the management does not take action. We have a very good domestic, she is a very good cook, but despite pointing this out to management she still does not work as a chef when the chef is off. There is not enough seasonal food, ie when strawberries are in season.

Thank you for your comments on Appletree. Please be assured that the home does value feedback given to the management team and thank you for the lovely comment about our domestic at the home who is a good cook, I will ensure that feedback is passed on to her from your review.

My mother has been at Appletree Court since lockdown in March 2020. We have found the staff and care of Mum excellent. It was reassuring to know Mum was being so well looked after during a difficult time when we were unable to visit due to Covid restrictions. Staff are very pleasant and helpful.

This pandemic has been a lifetime for residents and families; due to lack of visiting. The staff have risen to the stressful challenge and continued to support my Mum; showing her love and kindness and respect, when at this time of life needs and deserves with an abundance. Activity staff are her friends who make sure we talk every day via Zoom. They treat her like she was their own Mum. The management keeps us updated and does everything in their power to keep her safe. They are her extended family and show her real compassion. I will be eternally grateful. They deserve credit where credit's due. I would be first to shout if things were wrong but thank God she is looked after by such people with open hearts. I have written to our Queen and Prime Minister to sing their praises. When I win the lottery I will award them all. In the meantime, I ask God to look after them all and keep them safe; with continued strength to show my amazing Mum the empathy she duly deserves. Thank you.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Appletree since March 2019; she required 1-1 care for most of that time.
I cannot praise all the staff enough. From the manager down, they are a total team. I find all the staff extremely polite, welcoming, professional and caring.
The care staff have great knowledge of individual residents, the care home is always clean with housekeeping staff always on each floor.
I know that I can call/email the manager at any time for an update on my mother-in-law, and he will respond quickly.
Lockdown has had a major impact on all of us. I totally understand the need for the current measures in care homes. I can request a Skype chat with my mother-in-law, likewise, she might indicate she would like to speak to my disabled daughter, and they will always assist her.
Everyone at Appletree has my utmost respect for preventing Covid from entering the home.

Loved ones may not be happy with the current situation, but it is needed to protect residents and staff

During the COVID-19 lockdown, I have been unable to visit my brother and have only had telephone contact. Each time I have phoned, I have been greeted with kindness and understanding. Their genuine care and interest in each person staying at the home is so comforting. knowing your loved one is being cared for as an individual and not just a number.
On Friday, I visited my brother for the first time in 14 weeks. I was obviously anxious as to how my brother would look and feel after such a long time without a visit. Well, what was I worried about? The carers I met all spoke with fondness of my brother and updated me on his care.
My brother was looking great and appeared happy - he understands the situation as staff have kept him updated. He had developed a personal sign language with the staff to help with this communication and it was working well.

I am so pleased we have chosen Apple Tree Court!

My dad arrived at Appletree just a few days before lockdown started. The staff are kind and understanding. My dad is well cared for, which has been a big relief.
They have strict hygiene methods in use and I am confident that they are doing all they can to protect everyone from COVID while doing their best to keep their residents as healthy and as happy as possible.

I would definitely recommend Appletree.

My husband, who had advanced Alzheimer's Disease, was a resident at Appletree Court for almost 6 months before he passed away in February. I cannot praise the home, its staff on all levels and the care provided highly enough. He was previously at another care home for 8 months so I have a good basis for judging at least a few different approaches. Appletree has a very individual-centred approach: everyone from the manager, who visits every resident each morning, through to all the nursing and care staff and indeed the support staff, has an exceptional knowledge of each resident and what works best in each case. The care staff is exceptional. My husband was at all times treated with respect, dignity, compassion and warmth. His end-of-life care was superb with his comfort and dignity being preserved to the last. The staff at all levels was also hugely supportive of me throughout his stay there. They were always honest and transparent, which is not always the case in social care.
