Care Homes Owned by Maria Mallaband Care Group Ltd in Ayrshire

My father was a resident at Creggan Bahn from November 2023, when he moved in with mum. Following her death in February 2024, we watched as he carved out a life without her, supported all the way by the superb, utterly caring staff, he absolutely blossomed, enjoying trips out, the tri-shaw trips and was instrumental in the setting up of a pub quiz! Sadly, he passed away in February this year, but he had come to consider Creggan Bahn as home and the staff as his extended family and the love and care they showed to him, went above and beyond, that same love, care and support was also shown to me and my sister, during his illness and after he died. I cannot praise the ethos and standards of Creggan Bahn enough, and their staff are simply the best.

My husband had such a wonderful week's respite earlier on in the year that he was so delighted to be going back in July. He has alzheimers but he constantly talks about Creggan Bahn. It is a beautiful, clean place. The staff are absolutely wonderful. They do lots of activities. I am hoping they have a free week in December to take my husband. He talks about his 5* hotel.

Residents well looked after and become well settled into the care homes routine.

I am very happy with the care that is given by Glennie House. The staff and management go far beyond what they need and require to do and I have no complaint about them. My only complaint is that fresh fruit is not included in the monthly cost.

She has good days and not so good days adapting to care home care. She does not have dementia and I think that is what is difficult to accept with many of the other residents as they wander about and enter her room where she wants some privacy. All the staff and management have been great with her. We can see that all the staff are very busy as they clearly are down on staff numbers, but they are great and very cheery, mum's not very sociable right now due to UTI issues and experiencing discomfort. Nurses are great. Food is good. No complaints really. Well done Glennie.

Mum moved into Glennie House in Feb 2026. She has settled well into the home due to all the lovely staff welcoming her. Nothing is too much trouble. All the staff know mum - what she likes/needs and take time to ask mum about her. She regularly goes on trips and is included. The staff are supportive not only to mum but to family also on the difficult days. I could not recommend Glennie House enough. Photos from Glennie House show my mum is happy - that is all family want mum to be.

Visits are always pleasant when coming to see my Gran, staff are always very attentive and make sure that she is seen too. They always check in with us and are really pleasant when we are in the care home.

My mum has recently become poorly. The staff have been excellent in supporting her needs in a dignified and caring way. I have been kept up to date with her health and feel that staff really know my mum and that is comforting to know. I'm sure my mum will regain her health as they keep a close eye on how she is. The care home has a nice comforting feel to it, perfect for my mum.

One of the most precious experiences is when you enter Glennie, you immediately feel part of the ethos of Glennie.Any interaction with the whole team from front of house,the housekeeping team ,the care and management is something special.As an older sister of the resident and along with my daughter accompaning me on my visits its so important to know my sister is loved ,looked after with compassion and care,even through those hard times too,so thank you.

Staff are lovely and have looked after my mum very well since shes been there

My mum was very ill in the month of April. The care and attention my mum got in Glennie House was excellent. Nothing is a bother to staff and they gave me great support.

The staff always been great. Know my wife always gets the best care every day.

Thanks to Creggan Bahn for everything they did for my mother-in-law. She spent the last 5 years of her life in the most ideal surroundings that me, her daughter and son could wish for. She was cared for so well and developed close friendships with many of the staff which we know meant a great deal to her and us.

with professionalism and a positive attitude

My Dad, who has Alzheimer's disease, is being extremely well cared for at Creggan Bahn. He has improved significantly, both mentally and physically, since arriving from several months in hospital after fracturing his hip. We are very happy with the care he is receiving.

Excellent care provided to my Dad, he has really improved since moving from the hospital to Creggan Bahn. Staff attentive to both my dad and also visitors. Young children were treated to some nice cakes which was a nice touch.

Much appreciated the care provided by all members of staff.

The care home staff do their best to meet the needs of residents. They listen to complaints and try to improve their practice where possible. Retention of staff is problematic. Staff are generally cheerful and friendly. Management and administration are approachable and receptive.

The home is always nice and clean. Staff are always very welcoming and pleasant, they always have time to answer any questions. Always seems to be things going on entertain wise to keep resident active and happy.
