Kents Hill Care Home in Milton Keynes is an oasis of warmth, comfort and kindness. Residents are treated with the utmost of care and professionalism. Visitors and family are kept well informed and always greeted with charm and warmth, hospitality and genuine kindness. The care home is beautifully clean,
and sensitively decorated - like a proper 'home'. There is an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity throughout the building, with staff always welcoming and smiling. My brother is so fortunate to be a resident, and I am so grateful to all who work here. Thank you!

My mother was a resident at Kents Hill Care Home and I can't speak highly enough of the care she received. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warmth and compassion. The receptionist always had a kind word and a smile, which made a huge difference to our visits. The entire team, from housekeeping
to the care staff and nurses, was exceptional. They didn't just provide medical and physical support, they treated my mother with dignity, respect, and genuine affection. Their empathy and support were a comfort to both my mother and our family. They took the time to listen, to understand her needs and make her feel at home. The level of family support was also truly excellent. They kept us informed, involved us in decisions, and offered a should to lean on during a difficult time. Knowing she was in such capable and caring hands gave us peace of mind. I am forever grateful to the staff at Kents Hill Care Home for the wonderful care they gave my late mother. They are a credit to their profession.

Hi I just wanted to write to comment with regards to my mum's care at chartwell manor in Aylesbury . My mum lived in Swindon I live in Buckinghamshire she had a fall earlier in the year so upon leaving hospital in Swindon we were reluctant for mum to go back into her apartment as she was very weak after
a long stay in hospital so my daughter and I made an appointment to look around chartwell manor with the hope to pop mum in there for respite . Literally from the telephone appointment to arrange a viewing up to present date ( September ) everyone from management / carers /maintenance / nurses / cleaners /entertainment team and reception ! We were made to feel special and as if mum
Would be treated well there . Mum left hospital and was quite poorly but the staff all looked after mum so well that her respite turned to permanently living there , a huge move for mum but I've never known mum so content and happy Thankyou to everyone you have given my mum her life back
Reply from Hazel Greenway, Home Manager at Chartwell Manor

Thank you for the feedback, it has been a pleasure to support mum and see her health return, she is such a lovely lady, and we can clearly see the benefits of her social interaction within the home, and how important the new friendships are to her.

My husband has only been a resident since last week in August, after a long stay in a different (NHS run) facility.
My husband's mental health has greatly improved. His environment is much more improved, ie, not as clinical. His daily needs and welfare are highly maintained. Very caring and supportive
staff, even though ran off their feet most times. Nothing is to much trouble. The food is very enjoyable, well balanced and certainly not microwaved.
All in all the right decision was made to choose this facility.
Thank you to all the staff, and hidden management team.

Our father is a new resident to Kents Hill.
The staff on all levels have been absolutely fantastic with him, helping to settle him in ..
He is joining in the activities and is being looked after by wonderful staff.

Communication has improved in the last month or two. The building is good for the needs of residents, although there is a weak bad smell in the upper levels. The staff seem pleasent enough, though my concern is that more coherent residents may not be able to understand some of the accents of staff.
A suggestion for a volunteer or therapist to visit those not able to leave their rooms / bed. Please continue to improve these areas.

We have seen a significant improvement in the resources, displays and activities in the "forget me knot" top floor lounge in the past few months. The plant table, laundry and beach areas are attractive. There are far more resources and activities available and being used. There is an increase in staff
engagement with residents. The lounge is now such a stimulating area for residents and guests. Well done. Thank you to the staff and management.

My dad was admitted to Kents Hill at the end of December 2024.
His dementia was becoming worse and he needed round the clock care.
The staff were all very caring, from the lovely ladies on reception who always had time for you and were very compassionate when dad became poorly, to the staff on forget
me not floor were who were always so helpful and caring.
They definitely made the last 6 months of my dad's life as happy as was possible.
Contact with head office not so good, unfortunately. Two emails regarding a refund of care home fees have gone unanswered.

After asking our Auntie how would she feel moving nearer to us, she was in a place in Eastbourne, it was a yes almost immediately. So had a list of places that would be her forever home to visit, went to Chartwell Manor, and whilst waiting to go in, a lady in front of me said she had looked at probably
8 places, and this one shone above the rest. Met the manager who spent a lot of time showing me around, and room options, immediately knew this place was the one, took Husband, whos reaction was "of course this is where she should be". Our auntie only arrived on 5th July but i was able to go into her lovely room to place a few bits, previously, until we could bring all of her personal stuff. The manager was so helpful with what documents we needed from her care home. and being able to move her in on a Saturday was a godsend. Cant praise the team enough, it really feels like an extended family.

My husband has been at this care home for over 4 years so I have come to know the staff very well. I feel there is a lighter atmosphere since the new manager arrived. The receptionists are always so kind and welcoming, and everyone - cleaners, laundry people and carers - are so friendly and always happy
to have a little chat. There is a new hospitality lady who always offers me a cold drink which is lovely on a hot day. As my husband is on the nursing floor, I must praise the nurses for their care of him, and they always keep me informed.

Although my Mother only spent 8 days in the care of Kents Hill due to the severity of her condition, she could not have been in any better environment. At all times the nursing staff, care assistants, reception, orderlies & cleaning staff were caring & considerate in every aspect. They all afforded
my Mother respect & compassion & the nursing staff provided myself & my sister with regular updates with regards to Mums condition. Knowing how well Mum was being cared for provided us with huge relief in her final days. Everything about the care home is top class, a wonderful Reception area with lovely staff members. Clean & tidy rooms & passage ways, no odours. Compassionate nursing staff & orderlies. An excellent cup of tea served from the trolley an added bonus! I have no hesitation in fully recommending Kents Hill Care Home for your loved one.
Thank you to all of your staff.

My mum has been a resident for just over a year at Kents Hill Care Home. The staff look after her extremely well and are caring and kind. They not only look after her - they also look after her family. They take great care of her husband/my dad when he comes to visit and are empathetic and kind to me

My mum decided at very short notice to give up her home... We looked at several care homes and Chartwell Manor was by far the best. Warm and welcoming, caring and full of fun. The manager and her staff create a real home for the residents.
Mum is much healthier, she has put on weight and is often too
busy to see me!
