During my Nan's time on the dementia floor she was well looked after by the amazing staff. The nurses looked after her very well and were quick to chase up any medical concerns with the doctor. Carers were very good with my Nan, asking us about her life and things that she enjoyed. All staff spent a
good amount of time with her and encouraged her to do the things that she was still capable of doing that she enjoyed. During my Nan's decline, staff were very empathetic and kept close eye on her to make sure she was as comfortable as possible, as well as supporting our family through a difficult time.

Overall, very good trusting staff that looked after my Nan very well

I sincerely could not be happier with the care provided. My mum is treated with exceptional tenderness, attentiveness and respect. The range of activities provides brilliant stimulation, socialisation, laughter and joy. All in all - more (far more) than I could ever have hoped for at this stage of her
life.

My Mum has been resident in Chartwell Manor for just under two years now. She has Alzheimer's and initially came into home after a series of falls at home and then a two week stay at hospital. When she was at her own home, even though carers would visit, she was progressively getting more depressed
and lonely as the disease progressed. Since joining Chartwell, mum's whole demeanour has changed - she now is a happy soul who enjoys being part of the community. The care, compassion and committed nature of all the staff - from the management, the carers, the housekeeping staff - really is second to none. I feel completely at ease with Mum's care and know that she is in the best place she could be. If there are ever any issues I am always kept informed.
Reply from Hazel Greenway, Home Manager at Chartwell ManorThank you so much for taking the time to write this lovely review. The team here at Chartwell Manor will be delighted to hear your kind words.
It has been a pleasure to see your mum engage with all the activities in the home, especially with Christmas coming, for which she is very excited.

My aunt was cared for at Lace Hill Manor for over a year. The care she received was exceptional. The staff are kind, thoughtful and caring and made sure all of her needs were met and more and that she was comfortable and content. Choosing a care home was a very big decision for us as a family but we
definitely made the right decision with Lace Hill and I would recommend it 100%. A huge thank you to the team for all of their care and compassion. It is genuinely appreciated. We as a family were always assured she was receiving high quality, compassionate care in a beautiful environment.

Wonderful caring staff who are kind to my mum. Cooperative when I need a wheelchair to take mum out. Lovely atmosphere upstairs.
- no weekend receptionist is a big problem - residents tried to reach the button to let herself out today.
- cutlery very dirty/filthy/ unsanitary. Yuck. that has been
for a long time.
- unreliable coffee machine, never any cups/ sugar/ spoons available.

I am delighted with the standard of care provided for my mother at Kents Hill Care Home since her arrival in early October 2025. Care homes vary in standards, but clearly the bar here has been set high. Although my 91-year-old mother has quite advanced Alzheimer's, it is clear to me from how quickly
she has settled, that she feels comfortable and safe here - our key concern as family. Staff at all levels are extremely kind, compassionate and in touch with all their residents' needs in their care, and are clearly very professional in their approach. For the first time in a long time, I have seen my mother joyful and joining in with activities willingly. Wonderful.

My sister who suffers with Alzheimer's went into Chartwell for 3 weeks respite and wanted to stay . The difference in her is remarkable , she is so happy, she joins in all the activities, which are well planned and stimulate her. She has people to talk to which has improved her communication. All staff
are so caring and cheerful. The place is spotless and there is always a welcoming smile when you go in for a visit. I am so glad we found Chartwell and thank them for putting a smile back on my sister's face and giving us as a family peace of mind

Kents Hill Care Home in Milton Keynes is an oasis of warmth, comfort and kindness. Residents are treated with the utmost of care and professionalism. Visitors and family are kept well informed and always greeted with charm and warmth, hospitality and genuine kindness. The care home is beautifully clean,
and sensitively decorated - like a proper 'home'. There is an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity throughout the building, with staff always welcoming and smiling. My brother is so fortunate to be a resident, and I am so grateful to all who work here. Thank you!

My mother was a resident at Kents Hill Care Home and I can't speak highly enough of the care she received. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warmth and compassion. The receptionist always had a kind word and a smile, which made a huge difference to our visits. The entire team, from housekeeping
to the care staff and nurses, was exceptional. They didn't just provide medical and physical support, they treated my mother with dignity, respect, and genuine affection. Their empathy and support were a comfort to both my mother and our family. They took the time to listen, to understand her needs and make her feel at home. The level of family support was also truly excellent. They kept us informed, involved us in decisions, and offered a should to lean on during a difficult time. Knowing she was in such capable and caring hands gave us peace of mind. I am forever grateful to the staff at Kents Hill Care Home for the wonderful care they gave my late mother. They are a credit to their profession.

Hi I just wanted to write to comment with regards to my mum's care at chartwell manor in Aylesbury . My mum lived in Swindon I live in Buckinghamshire she had a fall earlier in the year so upon leaving hospital in Swindon we were reluctant for mum to go back into her apartment as she was very weak after
a long stay in hospital so my daughter and I made an appointment to look around chartwell manor with the hope to pop mum in there for respite . Literally from the telephone appointment to arrange a viewing up to present date ( September ) everyone from management / carers /maintenance / nurses / cleaners /entertainment team and reception ! We were made to feel special and as if mum
Would be treated well there . Mum left hospital and was quite poorly but the staff all looked after mum so well that her respite turned to permanently living there , a huge move for mum but I've never known mum so content and happy Thankyou to everyone you have given my mum her life back
Reply from Hazel Greenway, Home Manager at Chartwell ManorThank you for the feedback, it has been a pleasure to support mum and see her health return, she is such a lovely lady, and we can clearly see the benefits of her social interaction within the home, and how important the new friendships are to her.

My husband has only been a resident since last week in August, after a long stay in a different (NHS run) facility.
My husband's mental health has greatly improved. His environment is much more improved, ie, not as clinical. His daily needs and welfare are highly maintained. Very caring and supportive
staff, even though ran off their feet most times. Nothing is to much trouble. The food is very enjoyable, well balanced and certainly not microwaved.
All in all the right decision was made to choose this facility.
Thank you to all the staff, and hidden management team.

Communication has improved in the last month or two. The building is good for the needs of residents, although there is a weak bad smell in the upper levels. The staff seem pleasent enough, though my concern is that more coherent residents may not be able to understand some of the accents of staff.
A suggestion for a volunteer or therapist to visit those not able to leave their rooms / bed. Please continue to improve these areas.

We have seen a significant improvement in the resources, displays and activities in the "forget me knot" top floor lounge in the past few months. The plant table, laundry and beach areas are attractive. There are far more resources and activities available and being used. There is an increase in staff
engagement with residents. The lounge is now such a stimulating area for residents and guests. Well done. Thank you to the staff and management.
