I will share your kind words with everyone here.
Visited recently and were really impressed by how our relative was, how she looked and responded to us. Clearly being extremely well cared for by the staff! She has settled well even with her Lewy Body Dementia. This does not just happen, it's being supported properly by skilled staff providing great care and support. All who visit comment on the wonderful staff attitude and obvious skills they have. Well done all the team at Kents Hill.
Thank you for your kind review of Kents Hill. It has been shared with all the team, and we are so pleased and reassured that the teams hard work, dedication and training has had such a positive effect on your mother-in-law.
My mother has been in this care home, since January 2025. From day 1, as a family, we all f that my mother has received the best care and support to date. The food, activities and staff are very good and it always a pleasure to visit my Mum, in this friendly and clean home.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. The team are dedicated to providing a whole home approach to providing person-centred care, so we are so pleased that this has been the experience that you have had.
I have been impressed from the first time I visited and from when mum became a resident in October 2025. The reception staff are so kind and so caring - they were a huge part of my decision to place mum at Kent's Hill. The deputy manager did mum's assessment and again she was so impressive and very personable. She gave me confidence that mum would be in the hands of people with humanity and dignity at the core of what they did. I have found that all staff from the manager; deputy manager; carers; auxiliaries,; nurses; laundry staff, activity organisers, cleaners; chefs and the transport and outings guy have all been people who care and treat residents with courtesy and patience. I found it reassuring that everytime I visited someone would tell me about mum's day and the activities she'd been engaged in. The activity staff managed to get her involved in all sorts and took care to find out what she liked. I also like the fact the home celebrates different cultures and special days.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review of Kents Hill. The team are dedicated to providing a whole home approach to providing person-centred care, so we are so pleased that this has been the experience that you have had.
My mother was admitted late December 2025. My sister and father along with myself had worried about how the transition would go. My mother and father have lived together for over 60 years in their own home but my father at 94 years of age could no longer give my mother the care she required. Although my mother still asks us to take her home we are extremely happy with the care and compassion she has been shown by all the staff and we know she is safe in your care.
We all understand that moving into a care home is such a big change for the whole family. The team and I are committed to support your mother through the process to make sure she feels cared for, and that you and your father can spend time with her without worrying about her safety.
Wonderful place, & so much diginity for the residents that live their too.
I cannot fault this care home, espically the dimentia unit where my mother had stayed until she sadly passed away.
Care, empathy & most of all dignity.
Thankyou all
Denise
Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review of Kents Hill, especially at such a difficult time for your family. The team work hard to ensure the people that live with us are supported with care and dignity, and that their loved ones feel welcome and informed. They will be delighted to hear your kind words.
During my Nan's time on the dementia floor she was well looked after by the amazing staff. The nurses looked after her very well and were quick to chase up any medical concerns with the doctor. Carers were very good with my Nan, asking us about her life and things that she enjoyed. All staff spent a good amount of time with her and encouraged her to do the things that she was still capable of doing that she enjoyed. During my Nan's decline, staff were very empathetic and kept close eye on her to make sure she was as comfortable as possible, as well as supporting our family through a difficult time.
Overall, very good trusting staff that looked after my Nan very well
Thank you so much for your review it is important for the team at Kents Hill to do their best to support the resident and the family, and they will be very proud that this was the positive experience you had.
I am delighted with the standard of care provided for my mother at Kents Hill Care Home since her arrival in early October 2025. Care homes vary in standards, but clearly the bar here has been set high. Although my 91-year-old mother has quite advanced Alzheimer's, it is clear to me from how quickly she has settled, that she feels comfortable and safe here - our key concern as family. Staff at all levels are extremely kind, compassionate and in touch with all their residents' needs in their care, and are clearly very professional in their approach. For the first time in a long time, I have seen my mother joyful and joining in with activities willingly. Wonderful.
Thank you so much for the positive review we are so pleased that your Mother has settled so well.
Kents Hill Care Home in Milton Keynes is an oasis of warmth, comfort and kindness. Residents are treated with the utmost of care and professionalism. Visitors and family are kept well informed and always greeted with charm and warmth, hospitality and genuine kindness. The care home is beautifully clean, and sensitively decorated - like a proper 'home'. There is an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity throughout the building, with staff always welcoming and smiling. My brother is so fortunate to be a resident, and I am so grateful to all who work here. Thank you!
We pride ourselves on being a home from home, and people feel that warmth and kindness. Thank you for sharing. This is how you felt. I have shared your review with the whole team.
My mother was a resident at Kents Hill Care Home and I can't speak highly enough of the care she received. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warmth and compassion. The receptionist always had a kind word and a smile, which made a huge difference to our visits. The entire team, from housekeeping to the care staff and nurses, was exceptional. They didn't just provide medical and physical support, they treated my mother with dignity, respect, and genuine affection. Their empathy and support were a comfort to both my mother and our family. They took the time to listen, to understand her needs and make her feel at home. The level of family support was also truly excellent. They kept us informed, involved us in decisions, and offered a should to lean on during a difficult time. Knowing she was in such capable and caring hands gave us peace of mind. I am forever grateful to the staff at Kents Hill Care Home for the wonderful care they gave my late mother. They are a credit to their profession.
Thank you so much for your review, it really highlights what good holistic care should look and feel like, and we are so pleased that this was the experience you had at Kents Hill.
Alan the manager should be proud of his team as I'm sure he is. Mums been here for three weeks and likes it here.
Thanks for looking after mum.
Thank you for the review, I am very proud of the team and the difference they make and very pleased that Mum likes it here.
My husband's mental health has greatly improved. His environment is much more improved, ie, not as clinical. His daily needs and welfare are highly maintained. Very caring and supportive staff, even though ran off their feet most times. Nothing is to much trouble. The food is very enjoyable, well balanced and certainly not microwaved.
All in all the right decision was made to choose this facility.
Thank you to all the staff, and hidden management team.
The whole team at Kents Hill work really hard to create a positive experience for everyone, and I am so pleased that this has been a positive experience for you and your husband. Your review will be shared with the team, thank you.
The staff on all levels have been absolutely fantastic with him, helping to settle him in ..
He is joining in the activities and is being looked after by wonderful staff.
As a care home I would rate this top of the list..
Staff are always so welcoming.
Your positive review has been shared with the team thank you so much.
Communication has improved in the last month or two. The building is good for the needs of residents, although there is a weak bad smell in the upper levels. The staff seem pleasent enough, though my concern is that more coherent residents may not be able to understand some of the accents of staff. A suggestion for a volunteer or therapist to visit those not able to leave their rooms / bed. Please continue to improve these areas.
We have seen a significant improvement in the resources, displays and activities in the "forget me knot" top floor lounge in the past few months. The plant table, laundry and beach areas are attractive. There are far more resources and activities available and being used. There is an increase in staff engagement with residents. The lounge is now such a stimulating area for residents and guests. Well done. Thank you to the staff and management.
Thank you so much for your review, as a team are continuously looking at ways to enhance the experience of everyone living at Kents Hill and feedback is always welcome.
My mum was in Kents Hill for three months. I can't praise the staff enough for the care they gave to my mum. The room was always clean and had everything she needed. The food was excellent and after a slow start my mum really enjoyed the food.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review which has been shared with the team, we are pleased that Mums experience at Kents Hill was so positive.
His dementia was becoming worse and he needed round the clock care.
The staff were all very caring, from the lovely ladies on reception who always had time for you and were very compassionate when dad became poorly, to the staff on forget me not floor were who were always so helpful and caring.
They definitely made the last 6 months of my dad's life as happy as was possible.
Contact with head office not so good, unfortunately. Two emails regarding a refund of care home fees have gone unanswered.
Thank you for the positive review, and I am sorry that there was an issue with the final invoice, we were not aware of this prior to the review, but I thank you for raising this and confirming that the payment has now been received. This experience has been shared with the relevant department so they can review their process.
My husband has been at this care home for over 4 years so I have come to know the staff very well. I feel there is a lighter atmosphere since the new manager arrived. The receptionists are always so kind and welcoming, and everyone - cleaners, laundry people and carers - are so friendly and always happy to have a little chat. There is a new hospitality lady who always offers me a cold drink which is lovely on a hot day. As my husband is on the nursing floor, I must praise the nurses for their care of him, and they always keep me informed.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review it really is a team effort at Kent's Hill and we really appreciate that you have recognised this and feel supported by the whole team .
Thank you to all of your staff.
To make such an impact in such a short space of time is really special and a reflection of how important it is and how hard the team work to make a difference.Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience at Kents Hill.
