It was a pleasure to look after your aunt, who was so involved in her community both inside and outside of the home, bringing her friends and choir into Chartwell brought so much joy to all. Our award-winning Home Manager, Hazel, has worked in social care since she was 18. She started as a carer and has worked in various private and public-sector care homes, finally joining Chartwell Manor in 2023. She has a wealth of experience as a turnaround manager and a dementia specialist.
She has enjoyed creating a family feel at the home, building genuine relationships with residents and relatives, and building a fantastic team of colleagues who sincerely cherish those living with us.
Hazel is married with 2 children and three dogs. She enjoys keeping fit and relaxing on the river in the family boat 'Cariad'.
Jo joined Chartwell Manor as the Clinical Lead and was promoted in 2025 to Deputy Home Manager.
She qualified as a nurse in 2000 and has a wealth of experience working in both hospitals and care homes. Jo loves the family atmosphere of the home, and is proud that the modern facilities at Chartwell Manor enhance the quality of care we provide.
Jo enjoys spending time with her family, although she describes herself as a bit of a workaholic. Her favourite pastime is dining out, particularly finding new restaurants to try.
Tracy is the main point of contact for residents and relatives for anything to do with finance. She also supports the Home Manager with team rotas, and is always on hand to show potential new residents around the home.
She is experienced in all aspects of administration, payroll and customer service having worked in a variety of companies before joining the team at Chartwell Manor.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her children, going for a run and travelling the world.
Always ready with a friendly smile, our Receptionist Carla is the first person to welcome people to Chartwell Manor. When not behind the Reception desk, she can be found in the Bistro making drinks for residents and relatives.
She particularly loves the family atmosphere at Chartwell Manor and says she is really proud to work in a care home with a female leadership team.
Carla adores spending time surrounded by nature and has even trained her cat to walk on a lead to take it for walks.
Cristina has been in the hospitality industry for over 9 years after getting a degree in Hospitality Management degree at Oxford Brookes University.
She has worked in luxury boutique hotels in and around London and is passionate about bringing the five-star experience to Chartwell Manor, believing everyone deserves to be treated as a VIP.
Cristina is currently on maternity leave and we look forward to welcoming her back in due course.
Jinfu is the Head Chef at Chartwell Manor and has worked as a chef for over 10 years.
Chef manages the kitchen team, ordering all the food and creating delicious menus in the home. He spends time with each resident to understand their favourite foods, as well as any allergies they may have.
In his free time, he enjoys playing badminton and going for a run. He also helps his wife create a beautiful garden at their home.
Raj has worked as a chef for over 15 years and enjoys bringing his Nepalese culture into his cooking.
He loves working as part of the team in Chartwell Manor as he says it is like his second family.
Raj is not only creative in the kitchen. At home he puts his hands to use with carpentry and even tackles a bit of plumbing. He also enjoys playing football with his young son.
Harry has recently been adopted by Chartwell Manor from Mini Beasts Rescue in Aylesbury. He is a friendly Dutch Lop and is 4 years old.
He loves snacking on fruit & vegetables and enjoys the many cuddles he gets from our residents and staff.
