There are 61 bedrooms, all with en suite facilities and providing lots of space for residents to settle into. Chartwell Manor has really helped my mum in feeling settled and at home when she needed the extra help of care. Amazing staff, very helpful and reassuring. The home is beautiful, very modern and has everything to make you feel well looked after. My mum really enjoys being looked after at Chartwell Manor.

My mum moved into Chartwell Manor Care Home in October 2022 from a different nursing home in Buckinghamshire.
It's such an incredibly welcoming home, I can not fault it. Everyone has gone out of their way to make sure that Mum and other residents feel at home. It's beautifully decorated and very spacious
inside.
Mum has a beautiful en-suite room which she loves.
From day one, everyone is so friendly, caring and goes out of their way.
There are always activities going on for everyone to join in and they always invite the families.
I highly recommend Chartwell Manor if anyone is looking at care/nursing home in Buckinghamshire.

The staff are incredibly welcoming, kind, helpful and caring. We have been visiting for five months now and the range of activities is great. As a family, we attend activities which are fun and families are made to feel so welcome. It is becoming a new family that we enjoy visiting.

Granny has become Granny again since she moved to Chartwell Manor Care Home. She looks immaculate each time I see her and is back to being happy and humorous.
Being at university makes it difficult to see her as often as I would like but the Facebook page keeps me up to date with all the activities
Granny is involved with, and I truly know that she is in the best place possible.

A welcoming home where the staff are caring, helpful and friendly. There are plenty of varied activities for the residents and a minibus for outings. There are also plans for activities in the well-planned outdoor space. The home is spacious and well-kept, and all the staff, including catering, housekeeping,
admin and maintenance chat with the residents, creating a relaxing atmosphere.

My daughter moved into Chartwell Manor care home a week ago. The manager and staff have gone out of their way to make her feel like part of their family. I can’t believe how quickly she has settled in. Everything is in place to ensure residents feel it is their home. She has a beautiful en-suite room.
The day she moved in all her pictures were put on the wall so it all felt very familiar. My daughter is a younger resident but she won’t be bored as there are plenty of activities.

My sister recently had three weeks of respite care at Chartwell Manor Care Home. She had a lifelong horror of ever having to go into a care home but after her time here she would be quite ready to go back! The home is light, airy, spacious and relaxing and feels like a five-star hotel. There is a lovely
comfortable lounge and a separate area for events - of which there are many. Every day there are several things happening. We saw a quiz/afternoon tea in progress and another time when families and small grandchildren had been invited. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, the food is excellent and most of all, the care is terrific. The staff are all lovely - very caring, attentive, helpful and friendly. My sister was waited on hand and foot, constantly getting offered drinks and snacks and encouraged to take part in activities. Chartwell has a minibus and residents can go on outings. Excellent laundry service and residents can book a hairdresser. Lovely dining room too.

After making the difficult decision to move Mum into a care home, we are very impressed with the standard of care she is receiving. The team are always friendly and welcoming and their care of Mum is first-class. There are daily activities arranged together with outings and visits to local coffee shops
and staff are always open to any suggestions. The surroundings are immaculately kept and the rooms all offer a calm, comfortable and relaxing environment.

Having visited Chartwell Manor Care Home on many occasions I have nothing but praise and admiration for the care that is given to the residents and for the professional approach of the staff.
The Facebook page brings a smile to our faces when we are able to see all the activities that my mother-in-law
is involved with. It brings such peace of mind to know that she is being stimulated in such a kind and caring way whilst always being surrounded by staff members for conversation and company.
The whole team, including food and beverage, housekeeping, reception and maintenance are just amazing - thank you. You have allowed my wife to stop feeling guilty about her mum being in a care setting.

My granny moved to Chartwell Manor Care Home from a different care home. I love seeing Granny so happy and engaged in activities. The Facebook updates always bring a smile to my face knowing how busy she is during the day! The staff are always so friendly and always have time to chat to the residents.

I come to visit my granny whenever I am home from university. I never find her in her room as she is always deep in conversation with someone, drinking coffee and usually playing a game! Through the Facebook page, I can see what she has been up to and how happy she looks there. Granny always looks very
well cared for, with her nails painted and hair blow-dried, it makes me happy to see her so happy here.

I live abroad but was home for Christmas and got to see Mum in her new home at Chartwell Manor Care Home. We had moved her from a different nursing home a few months back. Seeing Mum in her new environment took my breath away. It was a night and day difference from what I was used to. Mum now has daily,
meaningful activities to look forward to that involve all the things that she loves to do, cooking, flower arranging and having people to talk to. The staff are all so friendly and it's clear that caring for their residents is more than just a job, it's a passion.
I am glad that we took a leap of faith to move her. The transition was smooth and my sister and I never saw Mum struggle in any way due to the constant attention she is given. The only time that Mum is in her room now is to sleep. The rest of the time she sits in lovely lounges and has company and things to do.

My husband spent the last week of his life at Chartwell Manor Care Home and we are full of gratitude for the care and attention he received. He had been languishing in hospital for several weeks and we hoped that with some rest, peace and good food at Chartwell he would gain enough strength to come
home but sadly that was not to be. His arrival there was a happy day where he was greeted with a delicious lunch, a beer and a team of friendly, caring staff and the relief is something we will always remember. In his last days he was treated with dignity and compassion and we, his family, were made to feel welcome and able to be there whenever we wished, which was very important to us. We were sorry he was not able to enjoy all the facilities on offer but that we were able to all be together in comfort is invaluable.

I moved my dad to Chartwell Manor Care Home following a fall preventing him from continuing to live in his own home. A situation difficult for him. The transition has been made as smooth as possible with staff getting to know and understand my dad's needs with sensitivity, kindness and respect. The
structure to the day and the opportunities provided for both stimulation and physical well-being are appreciated. The inclusion of family visitors is welcome. I feel comforted in knowing Dad is clean, safe and well looked after in his twilight years.

This care home is immaculate as it is new.
The staff are helpful and friendly, I am not a resident but I am always made to feel very welcome, the other evening we were all included in a cocktail-tasting evening which my mum enjoyed.
We transferred Mum here from elsewhere and she is much happier and
looks healthier than she has in a long time.
I would happily recommend this place.

This care home is full of carefully thought-out details which make life easier for much older people, for example, large handles to lean on to flush the toilet. Privacy is considered, for example, a shower curtain in the wet room should unexpected visitors arrive. I visited prior to the home taking
residents but my experience was that the interests and needs of my relative were noted and remembered. Staff were very welcoming and were pleased to work at this home. And I noted that each resident receives a welcome basket of gifts when they arrive. Thoughtful. The home also has very good links established with the surrounding community and has programmes to enrich life and help residents to be as active as they can be, both physically and mentally.

Hazel

Hazel Greenway

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2023

Our award-winning Home Manager, Hazel, has worked in social care since she was 18. She started as a carer and has worked in various private and public-sector care homes, finally joining Chartwell Manor in 2023. She has a wealth of experience as a turnaround manager and a dementia specialist.
She has enjoyed creating a family feel at the home, building genuine relationships with residents and relatives, and building a fantastic team of colleagues who sincerely cherish those living with us.
Hazel is married with 2 children and three dogs. She enjoys keeping fit and relaxing on the river in the family boat 'Cariad'.

Jo

Jo Hawkes

Job Title: Deputy Home Manager Joined: 2024

Jo joined Chartwell Manor as the Clinical Lead and was promoted in 2025 to Deputy Home Manager.


She qualified as a nurse in 2000 and has a wealth of experience working in both hospitals and care homes. Jo loves the family atmosphere of the home, and is proud that the modern facilities at Chartwell Manor enhance the quality of care we provide.


Jo enjoys spending time with her family, although she describes herself as a bit of a workaholic. Her favourite pastime is dining out, particularly finding new restaurants to try.

Tracy

Tracy Douglas

Job Title: Home Administrator Joined: 2023

Tracy is the main point of contact for residents and relatives for anything to do with finance. She also supports the Home Manager with team rotas, and is always on hand to show potential new residents around the home.


She is experienced in all aspects of administration, payroll and customer service having worked in a variety of companies before joining the team at Chartwell Manor.


When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her children, going for a run and travelling the world.

Carla Oancea

Always ready with a friendly smile, our Receptionist Carla is the first person to welcome people to Chartwell Manor. When not behind the Reception desk, she can be found in the Bistro making drinks for residents and relatives.


She particularly loves the family atmosphere at Chartwell Manor and says she is really proud to work in a care home with a female leadership team.


Carla adores spending time surrounded by nature and has even trained her cat to walk on a lead to take it for walks.

Cristina Verrall

Job Title: Hospitality Services Manager Joined: 2022

Cristina has been in the hospitality industry for over 9 years after getting a degree in Hospitality Management degree at Oxford Brookes University.


She has worked in luxury boutique hotels in and around London and is passionate about bringing the five-star experience to Chartwell Manor, believing everyone deserves to be treated as a VIP.


Cristina is currently on maternity leave and we look forward to welcoming her back in due course.

Jinfu

Jinfu Ma

Job Title: Head Chef Joined: 2023

Jinfu is the Head Chef at Chartwell Manor and has worked as a chef for over 10 years.


Chef manages the kitchen team, ordering all the food and creating delicious menus in the home. He spends time with each resident to understand their favourite foods, as well as any allergies they may have.


In his free time, he enjoys playing badminton and going for a run. He also helps his wife create a beautiful garden at their home.

Raj

Raj Thapa

Job Title: Chef Joined: 2024

Raj has worked as a chef for over 15 years and enjoys bringing his Nepalese culture into his cooking.


He loves working as part of the team in Chartwell Manor as he says it is like his second family.


Raj is not only creative in the kitchen. At home he puts his hands to use with carpentry and even tackles a bit of plumbing. He also enjoys playing football with his young son.

Harry

Job Title: Home Therapy Pet Joined: 2025

Harry has recently been adopted by Chartwell Manor from Mini Beasts Rescue in Aylesbury. He is a friendly Dutch Lop and is 4 years old.


He loves snacking on fruit & vegetables and enjoys the many cuddles he gets from our residents and staff.
