Hope Green Residential Home was originally built in the late 18th century and has been used as a care home since 1990. The home has been extended and refurbished to provide accommodation for 55 residents in luxury surroundings.
All rooms are fully carpeted and decorated to a high standard and have a nurse call system, fire detection and bedroom furniture. Carers encourage residents to bring small items of furniture to personalise their room. Hope Green now boasts three lounge areas, three dining rooms, a hairdressing salon and full assisted bathrooms.
Residents can enjoy the well-maintained garden with its large secluded patio and separate sun lounge. Within the extension, residents can enjoy the garden with bi-folding doors, bringing the outside in. Parking is available for up to 25 cars.

My main priority is that my sister-in-law is settled, happy and being looked after and occupied fully in her daily life. I have no concerns at all in these connections as I have always found the staff to be completely attentive and professional. They have noted that she is a keen walker and loves her music and have planned outings for her in these respects.
I do find however that her room looks "tired" and in need of renovation and decoration.I would be happier if she had a new, more modern , roomy bed. Her ensuite bathroom is very modern, and newly refurbished.
In conclusion, I am satisfied that the care home staff are doing a tremendous job. They are always on hand to address concerns. I was delighted to see my sister-in-law's in several pictures in their monthly newsletter, looking so happy and contented.

We have to travel quite a distance to visit and always receive a warm welcome and a very welcome cup of tea! Hope Green is a warm, welcoming and friendly place. All the staff are approachable, kind and work hard to assist the residents. There appears to be a good staff to resident ratio and the residents are known well by all the staff. Thought is given to provide a variety of activities which residents are gently encouraged to participate in. Medication and overall healthcare is provided. The laundry service is thorough but (my only criticism) items of underwear go missing frequently! Overall - I am happy.

Staff are nice and caring. Food is good, and activities within the home are good. Please do more frequent assessments of the cognitive state of the residents. It helps relatives to know what is happening to their loved one who is in care. Please keep rooms tidy.
