I have been a Registered Nurse for over 8 Years and providing the people living with us at Princess Lodge with an environment where they receive excellence in all aspects of their care is of the utmost importance to me. I started my career working in the Isle of Wight as a care assistant for over a year before moving to Northampton where I joined MMCG in 2017.
Starting as a nurse with MMCG, I received the support I needed to improve my skills and gain the knowledge needed to be promoted to deputy manager. I continued my career progression and went on to become a nurse practitioner in the clinical quality team, and finally moved to be a quality excellence partner to support homes at a national level, one of which was Princess Lodge.
I enjoyed supporting Princess Lodge and the people working and living at the home and I was pleased to have been given the opportunity to manage it in 2022.
Shortly after and under my management I am proud to say that we got a CQC good rating which I believe is attributed in part, to the home-from-home feel that has been created.
I operate an open-door policy for the people living, working, and visiting Princess Lodge so they always have an opportunity to speak to me within a supportive environment.
Dan was delighted to be appointed to the newly created position of Hospitality Services Manager at Princess Lodge in April 2022.
His hospitality career started at the age of 16 in a Cardiff hotel. Since graduating from Cardiff Met University, he has worked in a range of different hospitality roles and organisations.
He enjoys working with the team at Princess Lodge to ensure the home delivers a high-quality service and products, and is always on hand to make an event that extra bit special.
He is passionate about making every moment count for those who live at Princess Lodge and their families.
Georgia started working at Princess Lodge as a Receptionist, but has since taken on a dual role and now helps with care too.
She started working in care around 8 years ago, working both in care home and domicillary care settings. She then decided to get back into a more administrative role but wanted to stay in the care sector as she enjoyed it so much, so when the role of a receptionist at Princess Lodge came up it was the perfect opportunity.
Georgia particularly likes to spend as much time as possible with the residents, making sure they receive the highest quality care, and enjoys building great relationships with their family members too.
In her own time, she enjoys long walks with her daughter and her two dogs.
Chrissy started working at Princess Lodge as a domestic assistant in the laundry and progressed quickly to her present role as Head Housekeeper in 2021, currently running a team of 9.
She loves chatting to the residents as she goes about her work, and she believes a simple greeting is enough to put a smile on anyone’s face. She is the sort of person that always looks for a silver lining; our ray of sunshine in the home.
Originally from a village in Dorset, she moved to Swindon to be closer to her daughters and grandchildren.
Issy joined Princess Lodge 3 years ago as part of the Lifestyle Team. She enjoys getting to know the residents and families on a personal level.

Issy is passionate about making every moment count for the people in our care.
Yulee joined the team at Princess Lodge in 2023, and says her job as a Lifestyle Co-ordinator has been her favourite part of working in social care.
She enjoys making a difference in the lives of the residents, and feels they make a difference in her own life. Whether in a group activity or on a 121 session, learning about their backgrounds, life lessons and their general outlook on life gives her a different perspective on her own.
Yulee's particular interest is introducing the residents to new and exciting experiences, such as different country cultural days, tasting food from around the world or bringing unusual animals into the home.
She says every moment is special when we can bring a smile to a resident's face.
Shushma has been a member of the Princess Lodge team for over 15 years.
As our chef, she spends her time preparing, cooking and serving nutritionally balanced meals. She loves spending time with the residents, discussing new menus and making sure she includes their favourites.
