I have no problems with this home and would definitely recommend it. The staff are always on hand to talk to and the Manager is exceptional and very easy to talk to. Her door is always open.

My dad is very happy here, I would say this is the best in Swindon. The manager and all care staff are extremely caring, kind, polite, cheerful, friendly and go above and beyond to help my dad and his family feel welcome at all times. This makes it very easy for me to rest assured that dad is in the best possible care. Nothing is too much trouble for any member of staff. I cannot thank or praise the staff enough for helping my dad to keep his independence and dignity for as long as he possibly can.

The care provided by all staff to my aunt for the 4 weeks she was with you was excellent. She was comfortable, treated with dignity and pain-free. The family were kept up to date with everything which was very comforting in her last days. Very professional but homely care, making her final days comfortable and cared for.

I cannot praise the staff at Princess Lodge enough for their professionalism and compassion. Over the last two and a half years they have cared for my mother and indeed her immediate family wonderfully; their sensitivity and support as my mother passed away was significantly over and above any that could reasonably be expected. They made this difficult time so much easier for us.

The example set by the Manager is amazing; her knowledge of and care for all the residents and is incredibly professional. She is supported by a very talented team; all of whom really deserve praise.

My mother was very content at Princess Lodge enjoying jokes and repartee with all the staff who cared for her. As family members is was very reassuring to see how happy she was there; particularly impressive was the time staff would spend feeding her or the care shown when showering and dressing her.

Many thanks

My mum is very content now she is in this care home. She is settled and well looked after. The key to a good care home is staff who actually 'care' and that is what you receive here.

Mum is gaining weight as she is so well fed. Although her condition prevents her from saying how she feels, I can see she is as happy and content as she could be.

I know it has been a short time my father has been in this care home, but so far the care he has received is second to none and amazing. All of the staff from carers, cleaners and management are polite, always smiling and most important are extremely caring. Not only to Dad but to us, his family. The home itself is very clean and tidy. I would say a home from home. We, as a family, are so happy we chose this one.

Very happy with all aspects of care given to my father. I am hyper critical. Everything is within my criticism and I find the whole home from management to staff from care to decoration and entertainment. I find this place is very good. Lots of paperwork. A paper trail.

My mother was in the care of Princess Lodge Care Centre for 3 and a half years. I have nothing but the greatest gratitude for the exceptional care, dignity, respect, time, choice and compassion shown by all the staff who work so hard, under the guidance of the manager, to provide such outstanding care in its entirety. How do you sum up "care"? In this case, four words - "Princess Lodge Care Centre" is at the very "Centre" of the service they provide and deliver.

Having moved from a previous home where she was left in a room alone, her dignity shattered, she was moved to Princess Lodge Swindon. Wow, what a change! She had an excellent room and was looked after 100%. Her smile returned, the staff were fantastic, she was like my old nan before care. As age took its toll she grew as a person and was relaxed about the care. The staff were fantastic and as one would fall in love with this lady of character. Her descent into the next life was treated with dignity respect and never was alone.

I could not have wished for a better place and the dignity given during her passing was so incredible, there not enough words for how my entire family will be forever grateful. Thank you again so much

I actually miss not seeing the staff as they all became extended family.

10 out of 10 and all the gold stars that go with this wonderful care facility.

Prior to the 1-2-1 care that my father received and the new management regime (Nov 2014 award) I felt that his care was poor. The new management and new staff and of course the 1-2-1 care made his life and mine as a visitor so much better. The staff under the new manager are now a great team, looking after not just my father but all residents and their families. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them from the bottom of my heart. They are all without doubt angels from heaven!

My auntie has been in Princess Lodge from April 2016. We are extremely happy with the care that she receives. The home is run very professionally. It also has a very friendly feel and all the staff are very respectful to our auntie who is in the late stages of dementia.

We transferred my Mother 3.5 years ago, at which time she was extremely weak unable to even hold a tea cup. Within one month of being admitted to Princess Lodge she was sitting in her wheelchair eating herself, all her bed sores were healed and she was smiling. I have found the staff at Princess Lodge to be very caring and helpful. They speak to you as if you are a friend and look after mum as if she is a relative of their own, giving her care and attention. Mum is now 101, which just shows how well she has been looked after, unfortunately she is now in bed in her room but when mum first went to stay at Princess Lodge we were pleasantly surprised that we could go for a nice walk and visit any of the three floors of the home they also have a lovely garden which is very peaceful. If there has every been anything we are unhappy about the Manager or Nurse are always available to listen and then put our minds at rest and deal with any problem straight away. It is extremely hard to place relatives into homes but going in the Princess Lodge made it a lot easier.

Emanuel Olari
Emanuel OlariJob Title:ManagerJoined: 2022

I have been a Registered Nurse for over 8 Years and providing the people living with us at Princess Lodge with an environment where they receive excellence in all aspects of their care is of the utmost importance to me. I started my career working in the Isle of Wight as a care assistant for over a year before moving to Northampton where I joined MMCG in 2017.

Starting as a nurse with MMCG, I received the support I needed to improve my skills and gain the knowledge needed to be promoted to deputy manager. I continued my career progression and went on to become a nurse practitioner in the clinical quality team, and finally moved to be a quality excellence partner to support homes at a national level, one of which was Princess Lodge.

I enjoyed supporting Princess Lodge and the people working and living at the home and I was pleased to have been given the opportunity to manage it in 2022.

Shortly after and under my management I am proud to say that we got a CQC good rating which I believe is attributed in part, to the home-from-home feel that has been created.

I operate an open-door policy for the people living, working, and visiting Princess Lodge so they always have an opportunity to speak to me within a supportive environment.

She started working in care around 8 years ago, working both in care home and domicillary care settings. She then decided to get back into a more administrative role but wanted to stay in the care sector as she enjoyed it so much, so when the role of a receptionist at Princess Lodge came up it was the perfect opportunity.

Georgia particularly likes to spend as much time as possible with the residents, making sure they receive the highest quality care, and enjoys building great relationships with their family members too.

In her own time, she enjoys long walks with her daughter and her two dogs.
