My mum has been in Sutton Hall and Sutton Lodge since August 2024 until her recent death, during her time at the home she has been well looked after by all the care team. The staff are very approachable and have always addressed any concerns we have had. The home is always clean and has a happy feel
when you go in. The residents are always clean and tidy and the ladies have their hair done regularly and the girls do their nails which is really nice. The residents do seem happy and there are lots of activities during the week to keep them stimulated.
My mum didn't always want to join in, but the staff always tried to include her and were very nice to her.
As a family we have been very happy with the care given to mum.

I cannot praise the manager and staff enough for looking after my friend who is living with Parkinsons disease and dementia. His care needs have all been met with dignity, kindness and empathy. I was really sad and worred about him going into care but he was supported to settle in and has become part
of a friendly family.
The care home is well run and care plans, activities and preferences are person centered. He was kept safe at all times and I was kept informed of his progress and any concerns. A truely lovely home made special by the staff

I have had a wonderful experience working at this care home. The staff are genuinely caring, supportive, and dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to every resident. There is a real sense of teamwork, and everyone goes above and beyond to create a safe, happy, and welcoming environment.

The

residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion at all times, and it's clear how much effort is put into making them feel comfortable and valued. Management are approachable, understanding, and supportive of staff development, which makes it a positive and rewarding place to work.

I'm proud to be part of such a caring and professional team and would highly recommend this care home to both families looking for quality care and anyone seeking a supportive workplace.

Overall Experience 2.0 out of 5
Alexander Court up to Feb this year was a place I wish my sister in law did not live in it was horrendous. However, since then, 2 others have been put in charge, and there is a definite improvement. The staff seem happier, which in turn has a knock-on effect on the residents and families. We know there
is a long way to go, but we can see light at the end of the tunnel. The two that are in charge at the moment have given us hope, may it continue, please.

All staff have been super efficient, helpful, pleasant, and polite, from my initial telephone inquiry, to my Uncle arriving at Beechwood.
The rooms are light, spacious and well designed, just as it should be in a newly built establishment.
My Uncle has said he is happy there, he is eating better
at Beechwood than he has for a long time.
It is a daunting prospect to choose a care home for a relative, I looked round a few. I am confident that I have chosen well, and am reassured each time I visit by the constant high standards which are maintained.

From the minute you walk into Beechwood Care Centre, you know it is going to be a special place. The atmosphere is so welcoming and friendly. The care staff are so kind, patient and helpful and polite, not only to my husband but to me as well. I have always been anxious about leaving my husband, but
not any more! He is treated by all members of staff with respect and kindness and he always has a smile for every single one, and I know he is going to be cared for exactly as I have cared for him in the past.
Reply from Michael Wood, Content Marketing Manager at Beechwood Care CentreThank you so much for your lovely review of our home. We really appreciate your kind words about our team and the care that your husband has received. Your comments mean a lot to our team as they take a lot of pride in the care and support they provide.

The Grange Care Home

My Mam moved into the Grange care home 10 days ago and I can't speak highly enough of the home and the staff. All of the staff have been amazing and from the moment she got there they have gone above and beyond to help her settle in and feel at home, nothing is too much trouble. They treat her with
care, dignity and always go the extra mile to make her feel happy, comfortable and meet her needs, they are very encouraging too which has helped my Mam immensely when it comes to eating and being more mobile. The manager has also been extremely helpful and supportive through the process of transitioning Mam into the home and continues to be now, she even took time out to sit one to one with her and get to know her so she felt more at ease.
I can't thank the staff enough for not only taking care of my precious Mam like she is there own but for also taking the worry away from me and my family, because we know she is safe and so well looked after.

My dad came into Clipstone Hall & Lodge in December was ill and giving up. The doctors said he was on end of life but now with good care he's a different person, still confused but putting on a bit of weight, he's well fed clean and tidy and safe. It gives us peace of mind. The staff are lovely and
welcoming so are management too. I feel better knowing my dads ok so thank you Management and staff at Clipstone Hall & Lodge.

The Hawthornes

Over all the care is good, the staff are run off their feet and do long shifts.
The carers I have been in contact with are excellent, however night shift could do with a shake up regarding toileting care.
Unfortunately the food is poor and overcooked, tasteless and not a great variety.
The elderly
don't want a pie or a pasty that cant be cut or even chewed
Not sure where the ingredients come from but its such a waste of food when they can not eat it, I have seen what is served and it requires upgrading/ training perhaps.
Reply from Michael Wood, Content Marketing Manager at The HawthornesThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to receive your positive comments regarding our staff, and we appreciate your recognition of the care, kindness, and support they provide. Your acknowledgement of their efforts is greatly valued. We'll feedback your concerns to the night team. We are sorry to hear that you and your mother have been dissatisfied with some aspects of her experience at our home, particularly regarding the food and menu choices. We aim to provide a varied menu that caters to residents' individual preferences, dietary requirements, and nutritional needs. We recognise that food preferences can vary greatly from person to person, and there have been occasions when alternative meal options have been offered when your mother has not wished to have the meals available. Our team continues to work closely with her to understand her preferences. We take all feedback seriously and are committed to providing the highest standard of care and support.
