Kitchen: they alway go that extra mile.
Care/support: very caring with mum and give excellent support to the rest of the family.
Staff: there is a fantastic team at Priestley nothing is too much trouble. When mum as a bad day. They can handle her so well. But there is 5% of the staff. Where the
care is not at the same standard.
Management: I have hot met the ladie incharge due to illness (I wish her all the best) but Josh as really step up. He is so passionate about the home. (You need to look after him, we don't want him headhunted)

Cheadle Grange Care Home

from Diane W (Daughter of Resident) published on 9 March 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My parents have recieved very good care for 2 weeks respite at Cheadle Grange Care Home. The staff are lovely and have looked after both my parents and family members visiting very well. There have been one or two issues during the stay, which have been rectified promptly when raised with the home.
Unfortunately some of the activities offered have not taken place but to be fair the staff have arranged activities my dad in particular has asked for.
My parents did complain to me that their beds weren't being made and once I raised this it was rectified, similarly mum hadn't had any of her clothes washed for 10 days, she didn't know she was to leave them on the floor if she wanted them washing I understand permanent residents have their own wash basket in their rooms , so maybe a little more thought needs to be made for respite residents.
On the whole though a very good experience.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Brother went into OAKTREE in Bridlington in October 2025. And to be honest if Melvin hadn't come in when he did, he probably wouldn't be with us now. 3 month's ago he was very under nourished, very unwell because he wasn't taking his medication. He was dirty, depressed, and wouldn't communicate with
any of us because he was very confused. NOW he is doing amazingly, he is healthy, put weight on, clean and no longer depressed... NOT just that but he has decided that he doesn't want to leave. He was taken for 8 weeks rest bite and is now a permanent resident. The staff are wonderful, caring, and the atmosphere is always nice. Our family are a lot more relaxed because we know he is happy, healthy and safe. OAKTREE is a lovely place, But the staff make Oaktree a special place..

Crystal Court

My wife has been resident at Crystal Court for three years in the nursing dementia wing. Of the five homes we considered, Crystal Court was the best; I have just recommended it to a friend and, after she looked at two others, her husband is now at Crystal Court. The home is welcoming. The care staff
are excellent and, most importantly, we have continuity of care staff who have come to know my wife well which must, itself, improve her care. I visit daily and there is always a chair available (usually placed by my wife's chair in the lounge) ready for my visit. The home is cleaned daily and the rooms are excellent. Management is approachable and helpful.
Reply from Paul Millar, Client Relations at Crystal CourtMany thanks for taking the time to review our home . It is a pleasure to care for your wife and we always look forward to your visit . Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course share them with the Crystal Court team.

After my mother had been in hospital for a period of time it was a breath of fresh air for her to come to Maple Court. From the very start it could be seen that the staff were very caring and attentive to my mother's needs. As I live a distance away and could not visit on a regular basis the staff went
out of they way to take the phone to my mother. If mum was asleep they gave me an update. I can honestly say that mum is in safe and caring environment.

The care my father gets is brilliant. He does moan, but that's my father, he always talks highly of the staff. He does complain about drafts from his bedroom door and window which is quite old and rotten. Overall he is happy clean and warm. He also has a good companion in his friendly Alison.

The staff at Crystal Court are always kind and compassionate. It's sad to see my mother declining due to dementia but she could not be in a better environment. I appreciate the freshly home-cooked food provided by their own chefs.

Anne came into Maple Court quite suddenly. She settled very quickly despite wondering a lot at night and is very happy. The care she receives is excellent from the manager to the domestics, and I can relax in the knowledge that she is content and safe. 100% happy.
