Alpine Lodge

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Mother has been in this care home for just over a year suffering with Alzheimers disease. I visit quite regularly at different times of the day. I have always found my Mum"s room to be spotless clean. Also the comunal rooms are well kept. All the care home staff are exceptional and very caring and
understanding of the residents needs. Particularly, the Activities team do great work for the residents. Supervisor, Tracey, on Mum"s wing is amazing. She always keeps me up to date with how Mum is doing. She is a credit to Alpine Lodge and her profession.

Alpine Lodge is the ideal place for my Mum to live her later years. Her desire to be independent is respected, with just enough support for her to feel safe and cared for.

The staff are all lovely and friendly and there are plenty of activities to improve the quality of life for residents.

I'm

very grateful that my Mum is here. It's the first time in years that I've been able to relax and not worry about her.

Keep up the outstanding work all at Alpine Lodge. You are fantastic.

I can't thank Springfield Manor enough for how they've helped my Dad settle in after as a family we were very concerned about placing him in care. We needn't have worried. There's always someone on hand to answer any questions we have he's always clean happy and in my Dads case well fed. It has a very

Dad had been deteriorating quite rapidly after his bowel cancer diagnosis, he had also had a couple of falls and fractured his hip, which required surgery. The care that he received in Maple Court was to a high standard. They did their utmost best to prevent more falls, they also kept me informed at
all times. The manager was very concerned and always put his best interests and wishes first.

The Lawns Care Home

from Susan C (Relative of Resident) published on 19 January 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My relative first stayed at The Lawns in spring of 2025, for a period of rehabilitation following a fall. With the support of the friendly and caring staff she made excellent progress and returned to her home sooner than anticipated.
Unfortunately, upon returning home she acknowledged that she could
no longer manage and so chose to return to residential care, wanting to return to The Lawns. Before this could happen there was another fall which required another hospital stay, and discharge to another care home. This experience made her even more determined to be back in The Lawns.
Her room is cosy and comfortable, with the option of personalising her new home. All staff are friendly and responsive to requests; the manager and senior staff are knowledgeable, approachable and understanding of relative's concerns. There have been some "settling in" concerns, but the open door policy operated by the leadership means that, once discussed, these things are addressed immediately.
Good start

The care centre has been tastefully planned, furnished and decorated to a high standard. The manageress and her staff are caring, sympathetic and very reassuring in the case of my husband who was diagnosed with Alzheimers and vascular dementia six years ago. I have struggled to try to cope with the
mood swings, depression and anger management this horrible illness brings. I now feel for the first time that when I leave him he is well looked after in a safe and comfortable environment.

The care of my uncle has been wonderful. I live in Australia and have entrusted the lawns with his care and I can not fault them at all. I hope to return to the UK later this year and can't wait to extend my thanks for all they do in person. My uncle is very happy in their care.

My mother is very happy and settled at The Lawns. She has frequently told me how friendly and caring the staff are towards her, and I always get a warm welcome myself when I visit her. The staff are all very patient with the residents, some of whom must be quite demanding. I am very glad that all the
worries and concerns she had a few years ago, have now disappeared, because there is always someone present to re-assure her thst everything is fine.

My Dad was with The Lawns Care Home for almost 2 years before passing away aged 93 this January
He thoughly enjoyed his time there and couldn't fault anything
Personly I totally agree
All the staff from management to the tea lady couldn't have looked after him any better
He loved breakfast best
eating a full one nearly every day and it was always the first topic when visiting
Apart from his final 2 weeks he was always able to get about himself and the respect shown then was Faultless
A big Thank You to everyone at The Lawns
I will will think of you all for rest of my life

From the moment I stepped into this care home last April with my Brother-in-law needing help as he was very confused we were treated with a very warm welcome and help. Despite it being just after teatime nothing was a problem for the staff on duty and the room allocated was very clean and well presented
despite our arrival being at short notice,
The Manager and staff have been a massive help over the last months and my B-in-law is enjoying being there. He is able to Join in with activities when he feels like it which are wide ranging with different themed events throughout the year where he can have a singalong if he wishes. If you don't want to there are quiet areas to sit and relax or just stay in your own room if you wish. Little trips out are organised for the more able bodied.
Nothing is too much trouble for the Manager and staff and my B-in-law is now a permanent resident, I have seen a massive improvement in his well being despite his illness, Well done all

Mum arrived in March this year and settled in straight away! Everyone knew her by name almost instantly. I can't praise The Grange highly enough: clean, caring, entertaining + good communication with families. Every family member or friend that has visited says what a lovely place it is and comment
how happy she is. Her own good sized room with an en-suite and wide corridors for her walker - what's not to love!
