Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My sister's room and bedding is always lovely and clean, the food is really good, all the staff are great, she is always nice and clean. They need more staff on shift, 4 would be better on each floor, as staff have to feed people as the dementia gets worse. I go and feed my sister at tea time. If someone
is poorly, it takes away one staff if an ambulance has to come.

My mum is in the care home so I am writing this review about her care. The home has certainly started to improve with the new management. We feel there is still some improvement needed, but they are moving in the right direction, and we can go to them with a problem. When we had a problem with mum's
room, they sorted it out by moving her to a room, better sorted for her needs. As a family we are very happy with this as this option was presented to us by the manager, it has been a very good move for mum. We always find her room nice and clean also the home. She has said she is now enjoying the meals as they have got a lot better.
Reply from Rachael Dunseath, Head of Marketing at Alexandra Court Care CentreThanks you for taking time to leave a review. We are happy to hear that you are happy with the new manager and mum is enjoying the food. We will make sure the team get your feedback

The overall experience of the care home has been excellent in all areas: cleanliness, food, expertise of the staff and the facilities. The activities are well thought out and my mum enjoys them and can't wait to show me what she has been doing. The home provides the emotional support that she needs
on a daily basis.

Permanent staff make all the difference at Alpine Lodge. Staff that know the residents really do provide great care.
The activity team are great, interaction, games and hands on stimulation make time pass and ensures residents aren't sat in front of the TV all day/night.
Food could be more versatile
to suit the needs of dementia patients. Please use a specialist dietitian.

Maple Court Care Home

My mother in law has been in Maple Court for respite care due to an episode of delirium. She has also been on respite for 1 week and 2 week stays early in the year. The staff have been amazing and couldn't have been more helpful. Due to her recent care we now feel she is happier and settled, and have
made the decision that she will stay at Maple Court as we know she will be well cared for and have a happier life.

The staff are kind, patient, and genuinely caring. They treat residents with dignity and respect and always take the time to listen. Communication with family members is good, and nothing ever feels like too much trouble.
The home is always clean and well maintained. Communal areas, rooms, and bathrooms
are kept to a high standard, which is reassuring and creates a pleasant environment for residents and visitors alike.
The level of care is excellent. My mum's individual needs are clearly understood and met, and she is treated as a person, not just a resident. Staff are attentive, professional, and compassionate at all times.
Meals are varied, nutritious, and well presented. Residents are offered choices, and dietary needs are catered for. My mum enjoys the food and is encouraged to eat and drink well.
The rooms are comfortable, homely, and well equipped. They are kept tidy and feel personal rather than clinical

A well run care home with some excellent staff. Close relationships are formed between staff and residents helping to make the home an enjoyable place to live. Management is responsive to any problems that arise. Activities could be improved with a better activities budget.

Alexandra Court Care Centre

This care home is definitely the worst home I have ever been in and I have been in many as an assessor for H & S care. The food is not acceptable when the regular cook is absent. The cutlery is dirty, the residents on dementia floor are treated as they don't matter, the staff do their best but so many
good long terms staff have left due to unreasonable behaviour from management and seniors. This place was once a happy well-run home but in recent months, has gone from bad to worse. Please get it sorted by using management that care.

Good care home - wonderful caring staff and management - entertainment and activates excellent. Cleanliness good but like 99% of dementia homes have a certain smell - associated with the condition. Always room for improvement - meals - good. As for other homes more staff needed.

I don't plan as I get older to go into a home for older people but if I did Springfield Manor would be a home I believe would be good excellent home to live in. They look after my dad Ken very well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place is kept very clean and tidy. I have known Megan since
she was a baby and does a very good job as do others. I like the fact you employ people from other countries.

My father has been a resident at Springfield Manor for the last 6 months, after having to move from a previous care home. From day 1 he was made to feel very welcome and he settled really well. The staff are always pleasant, smiling and attentive. The actual home is like a 5 star hotel, including cinema
room, art room, library and even a pretend pub. Would definitely recommend to others.
