Care Homes Owned by Highgate Care Services Ltd in East Riding of Yorkshire

I love this care home. My mother-in-law is well cared for. The staff are amazing: caring and considerate. There are regular check ins to see how she is and they stop and chat to her. The food is great and she eats everything. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available for both residents and visitors. I spent 6 to 9 hours per day in the care home visiting my mother-in-law and I loved being there with her and in the company of the staff. How lucky are we to have such a great facility so close to where she used to actually live and so therefore familiar to her. She is very settled at a difficult time for her.

My comment on activities as fair only reflect nursing side. Can see residential area is good staff are excellent whilst dealing with residents with P.D.

The difficult decision to put my brother in law into care made by his brother and the social work assessment team was made a lot easier due the care and kindness of the staff at The Limes. The assistant manager was wonderful with my brother in law and with ourselves. To come and be with his wife is wonderful. After over 50 years of marriage to be back together again is absolutely fantastic.

All staff are very friendly. The rooms are clean and bedding and clothes changed frequently. The food is good and the residents get plenty to eat and drink. My father is still competent at feeding himself so I could not comment if your relative has problems in that area as to how this is handled. There does not seem to be a lot to do and dad has said he is fed up some days but there are plenty of books, tvs and I have seen painting, flower arranging and board games being arranged and I know that there is always music and singing once a week.

Since arriving at Beechwood my mother in-law has blossomed due to the excellent care and attention given by all the staff. She really enjoys the freshly cooked meals and the overall family style surroundings.

Mum and Dad are now residents in Figham house after a short restbite stay. Both have deteriorated over the last 8 weeks but the home has made sure they stay together . The care and support they are getting is second to none. Everyone working there has looked after them so well. We couldnt be happier. Thank you to Sarah and Alex and the whole team for supporting me through this traumatic time. I know my Mum and Dad are in good hands. Ill never be able to thank you enough.

I booked my mother in for 1 week of respite care to allow me to go on holiday. My mother is 91, and has increasingly severe dementia, and was not safe to stay at home on her own (although she believed that she was). I chose Beechwood as I had a number of friends and acquaintances whose elderly relatives were being cared for there, and I had heard entirely good reports from several unconnected sources.

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming from my very first visit. I brought my mother for a couple of visits and again, the staff were so kind and attentive to her. Although my mother was very reluctant to go for the week, I managed to persuade her, with support from the staff. She was extremely well looked after while I was away, and indeed, looked much better when I picked her up than she had when I dropped her off!

I hope that I will be able to persuade her to stay again in the future, as I have every confidence in the care and professionalism of the Beechwood Staff.

My mother is well cared for, clean & well fed. She took a while to settle in but she had been living on her own since widowed and had always been happy in her own company. She is now spending time with the other residents & is always happy when I visit. The staff are all very kind, friendly & keen to help with any concerns.

My husband is in the dementia unit. He has settled in and seems happy and some carers are very good but some don't interact with the residents. It needs a lot of TLC and the gardens are awful and not nice to sit in. The dining floor and tables are sometimes dirty when I visit him. The dementia unit seems to be forgotten and nothing happens in the afternoon they all fall asleep. I think lack of staff is a lot of the problem.

My mum had respite care for 1 week in June 2026. Overall Mum's experience was very positive informing me that the staff were very polite and helpful and that she was treated with dignity. On visiting mum I also noticed how the staff interacted and had no hesitation on thinking that mum would be well looked after.

No complaints at all. They look after me very well!! No hesitation in saying that

The care home is well run and care plans, activities and preferences are person centered. He was kept safe at all times and I was kept informed of his progress and any concerns. A truely lovely home made special by the staff

Alexander Court up to Feb this year was a place I wish my sister in law did not live in it was horrendous. However, since then, 2 others have been put in charge, and there is a definite improvement. The staff seem happier, which in turn has a knock-on effect on the residents and families. We know there is a long way to go, but we can see light at the end of the tunnel. The two that are in charge at the moment have given us hope, may it continue, please.

My Husband goes for day care twice a week, I felt so guilty needing this support but I feel happy leaving him now, knowing hes happy and cared for. When I also get the time I need for myself. He has settled in well which makes me relieved knowing hes ok.

From the minute you walk into Beechwood Care Centre, you know it is going to be a special place. The atmosphere is so welcoming and friendly. The care staff are so kind, patient and helpful and polite, not only to my husband but to me as well. I have always been anxious about leaving my husband, but not any more! He is treated by all members of staff with respect and kindness and he always has a smile for every single one, and I know he is going to be cared for exactly as I have cared for him in the past.
