There are some excellent care staff however they seem very stretched. communication between different shifts is sometimes lacking.

You all deserve a pay rise.

My wife appears to have enjoyed her 2 weeks respite, she thought the staff were respectful and helpful throughout her stay. She enjoyed and took part in various activities.

The only negative very occasionally some of her things go missing such as TV remote despite it being labelled.

The care at Alpine is generally very good, as with everywhere, more staff would be welcome. Staff are friendly, approachable and helpful. Rooms and communal areas are kept clean, and food is good. Activity calendar is also very full. The only thing is, the kitchen areas, bathrooms, and carpets could all do with an overhaul. Very dated.

Due to progression of dementia my dad came to Alpine Lodge earlier this year. This has been the best thing for him, the home is so welcoming, all the staff are always friendly and on hand for any questions we may have, they treat Dad with dignity and empathy, also promoting his independence, they care about the residents and their friends/ family. The activities within the home are excellent there are plenty of them, everyone enjoys themselves even the staff and visitors.

My Mother is staying at Alpine Lodge for respite care having already had a short stay a few months prior to this. Myself and other family members have found the place to be extremely well run with very friendly and welcoming staff whom always greet you with warmth and friendliness. The staff are very easy to contact when I have needed to ring up and the whole booking service was very quick and highly efficient. I always feel that however how my Mum may be feeling on the day that she is in very safe and caring hands.

We are very grateful for everything they do and cannot thank them enough for the care, patience, and dedication they show every day.

I was moved to observe the patience and dignity displayed in assisting longer term patients; it will long remain with me. God bless them all!

My dad has been a resident in Alpine Lodge since January 2025 .Before I settled on Alpine I did look at 5 other care homes before choosing this one ,for me ,and my dads needs I felt it had exactly what we were looking for . The home is extremely clean and smells nice and is very welcoming ,nicely decorated and the rooms and garden are very well maintained . The food is plentiful and carries a 5 star for hygiene. I visit and take my dad out very regularly and have over the time he has been there built up a great relationship with the staff ,so much so I consider them friends . I can sleep easy knowing he is well cared for and any medical issues are dealt with promptly. The entertainment team are great and provide several different activities throughout the week .

I have had a wonderful experience working at this care home. The staff are genuinely caring, supportive, and dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to every resident. There is a real sense of teamwork, and everyone goes above and beyond to create a safe, happy, and welcoming environment.

The residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion at all times, and it's clear how much effort is put into making them feel comfortable and valued. Management are approachable, understanding, and supportive of staff development, which makes it a positive and rewarding place to work.

I'm proud to be part of such a caring and professional team and would highly recommend this care home to both families looking for quality care and anyone seeking a supportive workplace.

Cantley Grange Care Home is a lovely care home with wonderful staff. The staff are caring , helpful, competent and hardworking. Weekends seem to be challenging for the staff when they have to take on additional roles. Communication from the care home, about mum, was really good and they kept us up to date with everything. Food is generally really good, mum can be critical but overall she was happy with it. The activities , up to December , were great. However there is no one to do activities with the residents at present and it makes the days very long and repetitive. I'm sure the Care home are hoping to do something about this as the management are very good and work really hard to deliver a great service to the residents. All the staff interact with the residents and help each other . I think they are an excellent example of great teamwork.

My dad has been a resident at Cantley Grange since Dec 2025. He has lots of needs. The staff are always friendly & helpful. In the main his needs are met. He is happy there. Its always clean. My only concern is that he doesn't join in any activities.

All the staff at Water Royd from the receptionist to the carers, nurses, cooks, event co-ordinaters are all amazing. Welcoming, get to know you, and genuinely care about their roles to the residents at Water Royd. My Nan lived here for two years, and she had the best time, staff went above and beyond to make her feel at home and happy. Nothing was ever too much for them. You knew they were the same around the residents whether family were there or not and that meant the world to us. Nan was well looked after and part of their family as well as ours. Right until her last day before she sadly passed, staff were looking after her amazingly. We made the decision not to have Nan go to hospital (unless absolutely needed) because she was happy and at peace at Water Royd with staff looking after her so well. Every time we visited, which we did numerous times a week, we were welcomed with open arms. Thank you to all staff, you truly are the best.

In my personal experience of Water Royd Nursing Home. All staff from management, carers, nursing staff to cleaners etc are outstanding. I am extremely impressed by the care and attention, which my husband received, so is he and our family. Water Royd Nursing Home is excellent! The reason being I've recommend to many friends and family.

I cannot speak highly enough of the team and levels of care provided at Water Royd Nursing home. As soon as you walk in, you can feel the friendliness and warmth towards residents and their family members. In his final months of life dad was treated with care and respect and greatly enjoyed the outings, activities and good food! Especially fish and chip Friday!!. Thank you for the wonderful care.
