Care Homes Owned by Highgate Care Services Ltd in Greater Manchester

The thing I think is wrong is being self - funding It costs £7000 a month. My brother has worked all his life, never been on benefits and had to sell his bungalow and all his money is spent on his care. I feel this is very unfair. Has care become a big business ?

My wife was admitted in July 2026 from the meadows hospital who looked after her for 6 months. They were excellent in every way and l was worried about her continuing care. I had no need to worry the care and treatment she receives in this nursing home is excellent in so many ways a continuing treatment from the meadows. Her room is well equipped and clean, the food is very good and I must congratulate the chief. The staff are caring and supportive of her and i feel happy when I leave her that she is being cared for. The manager is very helpful and supportive and she will always answer any questions I have. All in all i am happy to recommend to anyone this nursing home as i am very grateful to all the staff for looking after my wife.

My Dad spent his last 4 months in Nursing at Manorhey and he received such excellent care and support. All the staff are so lovely and showed so much compassion. He was very well looked after. My Dad enjoyed the food and also the activities when he was well enough to participate. The staff always made us feel welcome, kept us updated and supported us during the sad times at the end of his life. We couldn't have asked for a better place for him to be. Thank you so much for everything.

Overall a good experience, with lots of activities and the staff were happy.

Overall very good.Few minor issues mainly relating to laundry. More activities interaction would be good. Nice facilities lounge/coffee area very nice. Outdoor space/gardens great. Parking facilities good. Pleasant friendly staff.

The home is busy and it can take sometime for staff to attend to your need ie toileting. Another issue having the time to encourage walking assist.

My wife and I are always warmly welcomed when visiting my cousin and her room is spotlessly clean.

A few minor issues mainly with the laundry, more activities would be good with more inter action with the residents.

My mother in law was in Bowerfield for 3 weeks respbite care after a hospital stay. The care she received was very good; all the staff were lovely and really got to know Marie in the time she was there even the main receptionist and manager took the time to talk & get to know her. Very loving staff.

Many grateful thanks to all the lovely staff at Bowerfield for looking after my sister-in-law and brother-in-law with kindness and compassion for three months. My brother-in-law sadly died (terminally ill on admission); they ensured his death was dignified, peaceful and pain-free, and looked after us as a family. They continued to support my sister-in-law for the ensuing months until her move closer to more family, with understanding, care and great attention to detail, with an accurate awareness of her needs and providing lots of the kinds of help which benefitted her. We were always greeted by everyone with smiles and cheerfulness, and my sister-in-law was both supported in her grieving, and given lots of the social interaction which she found so reassuring and helpful. We found Bowerfield a bright, clean and warm environment, and my sister-in-law especially liked the dining-room with its garden view and tables always set with pretty cloths and flowers, and the café area upstairs.

I have received excellent care & attention in all the aspects of living here since December 2025. It creates a real sense of loving care & attention to your needs & requests at all times. THANK YOU ALL.

Overall i highly reccomend Bowerfield Court.

I will miss everyone so much

A great facility with excellent staff who appreciate residents needs. We understand that community living can be noisy but it is understood that the situation requires compromise sometimes. Overall very happy with this caring place.

Activities of all kinds even days out, my dad is so happy and content which puts myself and the family so relaxed and reassured. Thank you to all at Manorhey.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I will admit that not all of the food was to my taste, but at least it was nutritious. Breakfast especially was excellent, particularly the porridge and omelettes (not the same time). I did not enjoy being woken at night when carers of necessity, came to check on me

The staff at Manorhey are welcoming, approachable, professional and caring. The overall care my mum receives is excellent, and it is with dignity and trust. Manorhey is a "Happy" Home; the staff ensures that this feeling of positive well being is always present. Manorhey is always tidy/clean and very well presented. The activities are fabulous for all residents, and the staff work hard to achieve this. It is a very safe, comfortable, and friendly home. Thank you to all concerned!
