View Full Details of Freelands Croft Care HomeMy visits are always welcomed by all the staff. They are always kind and consistent with the people in their care. They always find time to take questions, update you and ensure your visit is important. The reception. Management/care staff are and always been in my opinion, excellent and genuine in their assisting.
I find all the staff at the home most helpful, giving me so much advice and help as I hadn't any idea of what I had to do. All the staff at the respite team are perfect, and the financial manager is very helpful and cannot do enough for me.
My mother has been in Freelands Croft for 9 months. I am very happy with the care and treatment that is applied. I would recommend the home without hesitation.
This is a lovely building with superb facilities. Nice touches include displays on the wall, which are colourful and reflective. Loved the fact the doors to the bathrooms or loo are painted in a bright colour. The staff were all welcoming and friendly, and the residents we saw seemed to be happy and content
My wife has been well cared for here at this very comfortable home. My daughter and myself have an excellent understanding of my wife's care needs due to the outstanding service given by the staff. We can't see that much more could be done for my wife's comfort, and we thank all the staff for their continued support. Keep up the good work.
Freelands Croft Care Home is amazing, lovely staff, very clean, good parking, and great food. Staff are attentive and polite and they listen to the residents and family relatives. This care home definitely does not disappoint.
Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting, for the amount of money residents are paying to stay in the home the level of care and treatment is appalling. Would not recommend anyone to stay there. Residents are left screaming in their rooms or wandering the corridors naked. Would not recommend anyone to send a loved one there if you care about them.
My wife has been in Freelands Croft Care Home for about 2 months now and I have found everyone treats not only the residents but visitors so well with a lot of respect at staff are always on hand to help. I think I would find it hard to find a better place for my wife to be a resident in .
Very attentive and caring staff. The care home is clean and expertly run. Always contacted if there were any issues.
I found it very hard when my husband came into care, but my experience of care at Freelands Croft Care Home has eased my fears. We have both experienced love compassion and amazing care. I can't thank the staff enough for taking away my feelings of guilt knowing they care far more than I was able to.
My husband went into Freelands Croft for respite care in July 2024 and has since become a permanent resident. I have been very impressed from the start by all of the staff. We had an initial assessment by two very professional and caring ladies. The receptionist who showed us around was very cheerful and thorough. The management, nursing staff and care assistants are friendly, approachable and have a can-do attitude. Nothing is too much trouble. This is backed up by great catering, cleaning, laundry and maintenance people. My husband is constantly being monitored and assisted if required. I can check this online. The meals are of a good standard with lots of variety. Snacks and drinks are in frequent supply. There is an appropriate and full programme of activities which residents can join if they wish. I feel very lucky that he has a place there, as it feels homely and has a lovely atmosphere. He has a large room with a view of the garden. But most of all, the staff are great!
When booking to look around, I was so impressed with one of the staff who arranged a time the same day, and how quickly he sent me over relevant information. Also, the follow-up call and email to see what we thought and if we needed any help. A staff member showed us around and was so understanding and answered our questions. When told Mum had a place there and the moving date, the manager telephoned and arranged that we could go in before and choose her room and bring some items in to make it more homely and familiar for Mum when she arrived. I have been so impressed at the high standard of care provided, and the support Mum has had. All the staff have been so friendly and respectful to Mum and the communication has been excellent. Mum is safe and well looked after and is slowly starting to interact with others and participate in the many activities on offer. Having access to the GP, a hairdresser and a chiropodist is great. I am so impressed with how well Mum is cared for. She seems so much happier.
Outstanding service from a very dedicated and professional team. Made the difficult move for mum so much better and gave us all peace of mind. The home is well situated and offers a wide range of activities as well.
My mum moved into Freelands Croft at the end of November 2023. Their care for her is excellent, myself and my dad feel very grateful that she is safe and so well cared for. Her decline has been rapid but the staff are always there to ease our fears and listen to our concerns. Now and again we have experienced minor issues but when highlighted to the unit manager these have been rectified. We are always met with a warm welcome on Skylark. We feel blessed.
It is our first experience of using this type of establishment. Despite it being at a traumatic time it was made easier by the friendly staff and excellent care given. Time has shown that our choice of care home has been the right one and we will be pleased for this to be a home during the coming days.
My husband was admitted to the home from the hospital just before Christmas which was upsetting for our family but he has settled in well and loves his 'room with a view'. The staff are caring and obliging and he now regards this as his home and is happy. A great relief for us. Our thanks to all the staff.
The care home itself is very clean. There are many rooms and the lounge is very cosy. The dining room is spacious and clean. The meals are freshly made, tasty and well presented and the garden is extremely spacious. The staff are kind and friendly and greeted me warmly.
I have always found the home welcoming, and the residents there seem happy and get to engage with a good selection of activities. The home is well laid out and has lovely community gardens too. It is always enjoyable to visit.
My Mother was recently admitted to Freelands Croft Care Home, after two weeks in the home the transformation witnessed in my Mother is amazing, she is very happy there, loves the interactions with the other residents and has settled better than we could have imagined. She is clearly well cared for, she is always clean, tidy and well-presented, it is evident that there is care and consideration when it comes to getting her dressed and ready for the day, she enjoys the daily activities and seems really content. The staff are all really friendly, helpful and attentive to my Mother's needs, she suffers with dementia and had previously been cared for at home, being in the home has given her a spring back in her step and her mental well-being has increased significantly as a consequence of her interactions with others in the home both residents and staff. I would highly recommend the home.
When I came in to see my gran, she looked clean, happy and well cared for. I saw her lunch, and it looked lovely.
