View Full Details of Seagrave House Care Home - Avery HealthcareHaving no experience of what to expect from a care home I am pleasantly surprised how good Seagrove House is. Management team have supported my mum and the family all through the process of Mum being discharged from hospital needing 24 hour care. This has been an extremely emotional time for us and without the support we have received we would not have known what to do. Care team staff members are brilliant with Mum's needs on a day to day basis and we could not ask for more. Communication around Mum's needs is always passed on in a timely manner. So for my experience is nothing but exceptional long may it continue.
My mother receives excellent care and the staff at her home know her well and ensure she is well taken care of. She is unable to articulate her wants but the staff know her well and always include her in activities, which the family appreciate. The facilities are of a high standard and her room is always clean. A big thank you to housekeeping team.
Mum has only been here a short time but I am very happy with the care Mum gets. Mum settled very quickly and the staff are amazing, they treat mum like family and are always ready to listen to us as a family about what Mum likes and dislikes can only thank them all.
Since being brought to Seagrave, mum has settled in extremely well. The staff in all areas of the home are brilliant, taking their time to make mum feel valued, cared for and loved. They go above and beyond in the care they provide and encourage her to participate in activities and join in at meal times. When she feels under the weather, staff act quickly to look after her and get medical help if needed. Fantastic place, well done and many thanks to everyone.
Outstanding care given to my father a really nice atmosphere in the home and the staff are absolutely first class. Warrants a score well beyond 10 out of 10, exceptional in every way. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone considering a placement for a loved one.
Our mum moved here in January 2023 after a stroke and nasty fall at home knocked her confidence. We considered a few homes and visited another but the moment we entered Seagrave and she met and spoke with a few of the staff and residents she knew this was where she wanted to be. The first few months were incredibly difficult due to a few health set backs including a few awful times in Kettering General Hospital when she came out a complete mess and it was the wonderful team at Seagrave that pulled her together again. In the early days her personality changed so much that we struggled to cope and the team held our hands every step. It took a while but the staff are so patient and she eventually settled down and returned to being our lovely mum again. There's a few activities that go on but mum's not really a joiner preferring her books, although the carpet bowls and anything musical usually draw her in. It's absolutely the staff that make Seagrave the lovely place it is.
This is a beautiful place to live, staff go above and beyond, friendly, caring, helpful from management downwards. I was invited to have my tea with my aunty made me and her very happy. If you can't be in your own home, Seagrave is the next best thing. I love coming here. Well done to you all.
Overall, we are very pleased with the care Mum gets at Seagrave. We had that she is safe, warm and well fed. It would be good if there were more activities every day, and if the staff could use every meal time to inform the residents of activities that are about to take place and where they are. Most of the time Mum doesn't attend because she has forgotten or didn't know they were on. The new activities member of staff is better at going around the rooms to let residents know.
My mother is very happy and enjoys the company of other residents and the friendly staff. She especially enjoys the activities and particular the carpet bowls and quizzes. Since moving to Seagrave House Care Home she has gained a new lease of life. The standard of care us excellent and any minor concerns are quickly addressed. It gives me comfort to know that my mother is being cared for in a safe environment.
The home is clean and well-maintained, staff is kind and helpful. Always willing to listen or make changes when needed.
My dad's time at Seagrave House Care Home was far better than any of the other care homes he'd been in over the last couple of years. He settled in quickly and the staff were all kind and understanding and treated him with dignity and respect. The manager and staff addressed questions and issues immediately and appropriately and changed things as Dad's needs increased. The manager is very approachable, professional, and understanding. I was able to discuss Dad's care openly and without judgment. His new family (the staff at Seagrave House) were all caring and friendly. When Dad entered the end-of-life phase I was able to discuss my concerns with members of staff. We were given every support and understanding. In Dad's final few hours, an additional member of staff was allocated to sit with us and him. After Dad died the staff could not have been nicer or more caring. I would recommend this care home to anyone without hesitation.
Since Mam came into Seagrave House in July 2020 during Covid the staff and home could not be more accommodating during that hard time. They continue to support Mam with dignity, love and lots of care. They are Mam's family - they love her like their own.
Seagrave House always has a warm welcoming atmosphere, supported by a caring and professional team, led by the manager. Mum is very well looked after and has thrived since becoming a resident in early 2023. We hope she will enjoy many more years to come here.
Mum is cared for by lovely staff and looked after with dignity by all the staff at Seagrave House. Nothing is too much trouble and staff always carry out their duties with a smile. Thank you to the entire team.
My mum was looked after extremely well. She went into the home for end-of-life care and was treated with the utmost respect. The staff were extremely patient with her as she had dementia. At the end they looked after her with lots of love and great care.
Fantastic home. The staff are always professional and helpful, whether it's care staff, front of house, activities, kitchen or housekeeping. The home is beautifully decorated and always smells clean and fresh.
Seagrave House have taken care of my uncle for around a year now. I have watched a very solitary, withdrawn man with little to no interests flourish into a man who socialises and joins in activities. He always looks clean and presentable which is a far cry from what he was when he joined. I see regular photographs of my uncle on social media and he always looks like he is having fun and enjoying life. Thank you to all who are involved in the care and well-being of my uncle.
It has been really difficult to have Dad moved into residential care as he has previously been independent and determined to stay at home. Now that he has been convinced that he needs full-time care and support, we sought to find a suitable home for him within easy distance for us to visit. Since his arrival at Seagrave House, Dad has settled really well and now fully accepts that he is 'in the best place'. His room is comfortable and we have brought in some items from home for him. The staff are all very professional, kind and willing to help whenever help is needed. We are also able to relax in the knowledge that Dad is receiving the care and support he needs.
My dad was moved to Seagrave House as part of an upgrade due to his old care home being refurbished. All I can say is within a week Dad has become a lot happier. Dad looks a different person. The staff are very helpful and very understanding of everyone in the home. Very helpful to those whose relatives are in their care. Thank you Seagrave House.
My father moved here in November 2022. I can not speak highly enough of the staff. They are caring, compassionate and professional, always having time for both residents and family. I go home in the comfort of knowing Dad is well looked after. Thank you.
