View Full Details of Coupar Angus Care HomeWe both want to reiterate how our cousin is settled with you all at Coupar Angus. She started to feel, in her own words 'safe'. At the start of her long journey into care firstly at other homes, we realised how anxious she had been feeling living alone and independently for so long prior to her move into care. Your staff are all so good with her and certainly understand her often unclear demands, but we do see that spark of humour that our cousin can display which reminds us of old and one knows that she has connected with the staff. We are both happy with the care our cousin is receiving. Her diabetes is well controlled and wish our grateful thanks to be conveyed to all staff involved in her care.
I have now been a resident for almost 9 months, and have been made very welcome. At all times, I have experienced expert care and professional attention to all my needs/ Every member of the staff at this home are to be highly praised. Their attention to an individual's needs. Every member of the staff at their home are to be highly praised. Their attention to an individuals needs is exceptional. This applies to every member of staff here.
My mother is a resident and I have always found the standard of care to be excellent. Staff are always courteous, caring and willing to chat over any matter. The Home is clean tidy and well looked after, communal areas are comfortable airy and the food is good. The Manager and administrator are very professional and caring and know me by name when I visit. My mum has Dementia and her level of care is very good. The nursing staff are really good and know the folks in their care really well. They are patient and kind and when one of the female residents became very agitated and violent the staff were just so professional and gently calming her despite being lashed out at and sworn at. Lots of activities go on things like visiting ponies, School children and church which are great at making the residents feel valued. There are also meetings for family members where nothing is hidden. It cannot be an easy job for the management and staff. The care provided is excellent.
My 90yo mother who has vascular dementia was here on a crisis placement for 7 weeks. I found this Care Home to be outstanding in its management and day to day operation. The Manager and her Home Administrator must be highly commended on their outstanding professionalism in running BCG Coupar Angus, which is fresh, spotlessly clean and exhibits a first class, can do attitude from its friendly, motivated and extremely well mannered staff. Absolutely excellent, and in my opinion, well worthy of a CQC rating = Outstanding.
My father was taken care of in a very professional way. He was very well looked after in his final years. The staff were excellent and courteous. Big thank you to all who were involved with him.
I visit my friend twice a week, I always find she is very happy and the staff are very good with her. As I am only there for a few hours I don't know how everything is run. However, what I do see is that the residents are well cared for.
The staff were kind and caring. They spent time with residents and got to know my friends. There is no negative smell in the home. The staff are supportive of relatives. I appreciated their approach and care for residents. Staff always reported any incidents and maintained contact.
The staff were very friendly and approachable. The facilities are well-run and welcoming. Relative is being well looked after.
The staff are all friendly and welcoming with the carers being especially attentive to all their duties and ensuring the residents are well looked after. The quality of the meals is first class and portions are quite substantial and satisfying. Finally there is never any unpleasant smell in the home which my family noticed right from the start when my wife first went into the home 2 years ago. Overall I couldn't be happier that my wife is fortunate enough to be in such an excellent standard of care home.
Mum moved into the home in September and settled in much quicker than we expected. This is because Mum feels safe and cared for. The staff are always so welcoming and also very conscious of the fact that Balhousie is now Mum's home, and they spend time finding out about her past, which she likes to talk about. I can now be a daughter again instead of mum's carer, which was really hard, especially as mum didn't want that either. So far, so good - long may it continue.
My gran recently entered the care home, and she settled in straight away. The staff are so kind, caring and helpful, which has made it much easier for her to make the move from her own home. The daily activities help keep her mind sharp and active; she also enjoys the company of the staff and residents.
Staff and everyone I have met are all very helpful and friendly.
Always impressed when I visit. The place is welcoming and the staff so friendly and caring of both myself and to the residents. My relative is always well turned out and appears content and comfortable in her big wheeled chair. There really is nothing negative to say about any aspect of the home. I cannot say what the feelings are of the resident as she is unable to communicate but her demeanour suggests she is happy with her care
I think Balhousie Care Home is a very good secure unit for dementia which caters well for patients' needs. My dad seemed to be settled here and took to all staff very well who were all amazing their care towards Dad was excellent. Always friendly and cheerful which means a big difference. Special mention to the lovely lady on admin who was always cheery and helpful at all times. I couldn't have wished for a better place for Dad - unfortunately, a home closer to home was inevitable. Thanks again to the manager and lovely staff - great team!
I thought the care home, in general, was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I could not fault them. The only issue would be whether my father was in the correct wing of the care home but that is down to opinion.
The staff at Balhousie Coupar Angus Care Home couldn't have been better and treated us all like good friends, my Dad'scare when he was here was excellent.
My husband was admitted to Balhouise in February 2023, and we couldn't have wished for a better place and such kind and caring staff. In the four months, he was there, he was very well looked after. He was only moved from there in June 2023 when a place in another care home nearer home became available.
Staff were excellent and their care was second to none. The nursing staff is also excellent. My father loved it in the home. The food was great and the activities seemed fine also. My sister and I had no complaints about the care my father received.
For the entire time of my husband's residence, care and consideration were given to his every need. The staff were kind, helpful and cheerful. When my husband died the senior night shift nurse was very supportive of me for which I was and am grateful.
All staff are kind and caring. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Couldn't ask for anything more.
