I joined a resident for Christmas lunch and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The meal was fine (could've been a little warmer) and quite filling, well cooked. The dining room was spacious, clean, well lit with splendid views of the garden. The staff were polite, attentive, welcoming and
efficient. They were helpful in getting my partner and I coffee tea biscuits after joining our friend in her room. They also helped us to bring in 2 guinea pigs which my partner owns, to the delight of our friend and several other residents who loved stroking and petting (I know you have therapy animal brought in to engage with residents) them!

An excellent nursing home, spacious airy and very clean all round, nice outdoor space for walking in the well tended beautiful garden and very caring staff.

My mother, who suffers from dementia, is resident at Yarnton. The people make the place and this is certainly the case here. Over the many past months we've seen that, without exception, the team at Yarnton have displayed a huge degree of care and empathy (dare I say love, even?) for my mother. This
attitude creates a safe, protective and cheerful atmosphere for her to live in. While she can't be cured, of course, she is at least stress-free and content despite it, which was sadly not the case when she lived with me and my wife. Dementia is 'second childhood' i.e. the victim's mind reverts to a childlike state. Well, she can't lie and it's clear from what she says and how she behaves around the staff that my mother is very content and settled. Full credit for this to the entire nursing and management team. Her improvement has been so good that she's been able to come off ALL of the calming medications that were previously necessary! Thank you so much. Please keep up the great work.

I cannot fault any of the care staff for their conscientiousness, professionalism & care for my Godmother. Nothing that I request is ever too much trouble. My Godmother is always clean and dressed in clean clothes. Her bed, room and facilities are well kept.

Welcoming friendly staff. Residents are well cared for and staff do their best to meet a variety of individual needs. Activities are on offer most days, with trips out when possible and frequent visiting entertainers.

My mother was a resident for just over two years. In that time the staff were without exception amazing. They were patient, loving & professional & made a huge difference to my mothers life. The home was always so spotlessly clean & ran very efficiently. There was always plenty going on in terms of
activities & I simply couldn't fault it. I would highly recommend Yarnton Residential & I will miss everyone & thank them fro all that they did for us.

My father was admitted from the hospital following a recent palliative diagnosis. The manager met with me prior to the admission and reassured me that the team could meet his potential conditions. The nursing and care he received on his admission was exemplary. The home was clean and bright with a
lovely welcoming atmosphere. and all the staff were kind, caring and professional. I am so grateful to the team for everything they did for my father and us as a family.

We were very nervous about leaving our mother in respite care, but we had no need. She was cared for extremely well, and we were notified straight away of any health concerns. We, as her family, were also welcome and looked after when visiting. It has completely changed our perception of care homes,
and we would have no hesitation in using the care home again.

The team at Yarnton keep their role as carers front and centre. From big efforts to small gestures what I’ve experienced visiting Dad is impressive. I met a new family in the car park nervous that their dog would be too lively; I felt really confident to reassure them that the whole team would love
the smile a happy dog would deliver to all. A very special team indeed, thank you.

Life threw a bunch of curve balls at us all at the same time, making it difficult to provide Mum with the support she needed. Sanctuary Care was able to provide respite care at short notice, welcoming her in and reassuring her family that she was not only safe but well cared for. Her room was like
walking into a hotel room and very comfortable. She was encouraged to join in activities and had a great time socially. Visitors were welcomed in and able to take her for trips out - wonderful!
Thank you all so much.

We used Yarnton for my dad's respite for two weeks after an admission to hospital for a chest infection. It worked out very well and he was able to recover well over the two weeks he was there. He said the staff and the rooms were very good. The food was very good. Thank you so much for your
kindness and support.

Our father has improved in so many ways since he joined your home in Oxford. The dignity the vast majority of your staff help him maintain is amazing and firmly believe that his dementia would be much worse if he was trying to balance that outside of this sanctuary. Forever grateful he is safe and
happy. Thank you.

arranging to move her in, making sure that she had everything that she and we needed and in keeping in contact with us.

My father was a resident at Yarnton Residential and Nursing Home for what turned out to be only a few weeks as he passed away at the beginning of March. I am so pleased that we got him into Yarnton for those last precious weeks as he was treated with nothing but kindness and consideration. He felt
safe and looked after. The staff went out of their way to make him comfortable. He was treated well and felt listened to. We could not have been happier with the care he was given.
