Our experience with Chichester Grange over the past 3 months has been exceptional, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care my mother has received, since moving in with Alzheimer's. From the outset, mum was welcomed and all the staff handled her transition with sensitivity and compassion. The
teams are so kind attentive and respectful and the Grange is so welcoming to family members at all times and a great cafe too! Activities are well planned, delicious meals, and mum is happy and I know she is extremely well cared for. Thank you.

We moved my 101 year old mother into Chichester Grange when she became unwell.
The staff were kind, welcoming and reassuring.
The entire team at Chichester Grange really impressed us - they were consistently very capable, sensible and caring in their approach and unremittingly patient and kind.
They not only looked after my mother, they looked after all her visiting family and friends too. They checked in with us regularly during our visits to make sure that we were ok.
My mother had a very difficult final 2 months due to her feeling very unwell, but Chichester Grange made the very best of a very sad process, which ended very peacefully.
Words really are not enough to express my thanks to the entire team, especially Justine, Tracey, Effie and Jackson.

I have been at Chichester Grange since beginning of August 2025 and have settled in very well. I join in with most activities. I like art & crafting. The staff are very friendly and give any help if needed.

We are thrilled with the care and kindness shown to our sister who has been a resident for 3 months. The staff really care, and take time to get to know residents, deploying their considerable skills and knowledge with, in our case, dementia.
Chichester Grange is beautifully kept, the grounds
make for wonderful garden walks in the fresh air, the cafe, for tea and cakes where residents and staff enjoy time together. It is all spotlessly clean with laundry delivered back to rooms, folded or hung ready for another day. Almost 2 activities, something for everyone, each day and films in the cinema. Our sister has settled really well after being on her own for 30 years. She would never eat at home, being too unsettled, but now loves the food offered and enjoys eating with others.
Our sister is loved, cared for, is safe and has never looked so well, free from the worries that beset her, on a daily basis, living on her own at home. We can't everyone at Chichester Grange enough.

The staff has good soft skills dealing with customers ie holding the hands of customers and giving them assuring looks and making them feel at home. The staff also take initiatives to wheel bed ridden customers into dining lounges for social interactions.

My sister has been in the Care home a few months now. She is a little forgetful, but otherwise likes to be active. She is full of praise for the staff, the food and general care, but she is restless and feels somewhat regimented: television, sitting about , and singalongs are not really her cup of
tea. Having been in a residential apartment before coming to you, she enjoyed taking a taxi into the city, where she would visit the cathedral and listen to the music or walk around the park. She could also make tea or have a snack in her room when she wanted.
She loves the theatre and concerts, and has taken part in many activities in her full life.
Do you run a choir, or have local musicians in to perform in any way? Is there an art class where skills can be improved?
Are there visits to local places of interest?
Keeping active and stimulated seems vital to keep going, with something to look forward to during the week.
This is not a complaint, merely food for thought.

My sister has a profound learning disability and finding the best possible care has been challenging. I need not have worried as I found Chichester Grange! My sister has settled very well and all her needs are met and care exceeded. Thankfully she has settled well and all the staff are so friendly
and welcoming. She is very happy in her new surroundings and for someone who has always lived at home with parents, this is high praised indeed.

Very good, nice place and gardens. Staff very helpful indeed. Most kind and gentle. Will come again to need to.

Very helpful and caring members of staff!
More help is needed for patients who are restricted in bed due to injury, like helping them out of bed to sit in a chair for a period of the day, to keep their mobility.
The food for patients who have difficulty eating needs reviewing!
Example: Soup needs
sieving no stringing bits.
Sandwiches some just plain, no mustard, etc.

My father is being well taken care of and it was lovely to have lunch with him and the other residents when we visited.
The view from his room is overlooking the garden which was full of daffodils this spring.
The staff continued to be very helpful to all my father's needs.

I am so pleased with the care that my brother is getting from Chichester Grange. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The facilities are second to none and the activities provided keep him very entertained. He always seems happy when we visit and well fed and watered with a constant supply of
tea and goodies. I am very impressed with the laundry and labelling system, best ever from 18 years in various care homes. The staff pay very close attention to his personal care.
Highly recommend.

My father spent a couple of days respite at Chichester Grange before he passed away peacefully as he would have wished. Dad was treated with the utmost care and dignity, as were we, his family. Although he did not get to enjoy all the home has to offer, I am sure he would have been happy there long
term, and we are very happy with the choice we made to go with Chichester Grange. Thank you to all the nursing and care staff who made my father's final journey a more peaceful one.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Chichester Grange - my husband's past experience was far from satisfactory - since moving into Chichester Grange he has received top-class care and kindness from everybody.
This is a very special place with very special staff - I would certainly
recommend it.

From the initial enquiry until Dad entered Chichester Grange, the care, attention to detail, compassion and understanding have been outstanding. The Customer Relations Managers are lovely. They spend so much time making sure you are happy with all the plans for your loved one and regularly check in
with you ensuring all is going well. Care staff are warm, caring and quick to put in place everything needed to ensure the safety and comfort of residents. They have developed a real interest and rapport with residents that is clear to see. The home manager is always available and is very approachable. Spotlessly clean, the home is beautiful, with different lounges, a library, cafe and cinema to share with your loved one when you visit. The Lifestyle Lead works hard to provide varied and enjoyable activities which residents engage well with. My relative has settled well and has a beautiful, spacious and comfortable room. We are pleased he is at Chichester Grange.

Excellent home and very kind, caring staff, it’s extremely clean with lots of activities for residents such as cinema, arts and crafts, they have entertainment and exercise classes, it has a lovely cafe with fresh cakes every day.
The gardens are large and very well maintained with lots of seating.
Dogs are welcome. My mum settled in very quickly on the dementia ward to my relief and greets me with a big smile, she has made many friends now.
I would recommend this care home!

Very pleased with the whole experience of getting my mother placed in Chichester Grange care home and the care she has received since she first arrived in December 2023. I looked at several homes in the Chichester (and wider area), choosing Chichester Grange based on appearance, facilities and
extensive visits to view and discuss my Mother's needs.
Since placing my Mother in Chichester Grange I have been very happy with the professional and above all caring service from the staff. While my Mother has not been an active participant in the activities and social events due to poor health, the weekly newsletter shows an extensive and varied curriculum. The food choices are always good and the quality is excellent.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Chichester Grange to family and friends should they want to place a loved one into residential or nursing care.

At a very emotional time of transferring my mother into a care home Chichester Grange were amazing to make this as easy as possible.
My mother has a lovely room with views of the garden. All the staff are wonderful, the residents are at the heart of everything they do. My mother is looked after in
a professional and caring way.
Visitors and family are all made welcome, Mother is visited by four different generations, her 4-year-old great-granddaughter loves to see Great Grandma in her new home.
I feel so blessed that we found Chichester Grange and highly recommended this wonderful care home.

My parents have been happy and content residents of the Grange for over a year now. I live in Australia and my children (their grandchildren) are scattered all over the world. We were all in the UK for Christmas and the staff at the Grange organised for us to have a private lunch in the bar area. As
it was the first time we had all been together for 4 years, it was a very special occasion. The Grange went to an extra effort to provide the right environment, type of food (and wine) and provided us with the privacy and support we needed. One of the staff came in on her day off to check that everything was running smoothly and the chef also checked that we were happy. It all made for a really happy and memorable occasion.

Chichester Grange care home cannot be faulted for its cleanliness. Nor can it be faulted for the activities. The ladies who organise the activities are superb. The only negative I feel is that carers are so rushed off their feet that some residents do not get the attention they need. Also, I have
witnessed that at lunchtime, more carers are needed to hand out the food, and sometimes there is insufficient food for what the residents choose.
Having only just been introduced to the new manager, I can't starrate this yet.
07 December 2023
Mother has been a resident at the Grange for nearly a year. Initially, the change in circumstances took a little getting used to. Making a new life, later in life, can be challenging. However, Mother quickly settled into the routines of community living. Indeed the many communal areas, lounges,
craft room, cafe, hair salon, bar, dining rooms and cinema are a great opportunity to mix and chat. To encourage interaction, each day a variety of experiences are on offer.
The ensuite bedrooms provide a private space. The rooms are purpose-built with all that entails and give access to a small garden terrace which in turn leads to extensive and well-provisioned communal gardens.
To please all of the residents all of the time is a big ask. But the staff go over and beyond to keep the ship on an even keel. It's not a robotic factory, it's a community with lots of moving parts. Overall residents and staff all contribute to making it work. Well done to everyone.
