View Full Details of Chichester GrangeMy sister has a profound learning disability and finding the best possible care has been challenging. I need not have worried as I found Chichester Grange! My sister has settled very well and all her needs are met and care exceeded. Thankfully she has settled well and all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. She is very happy in her new surroundings and for someone who has always lived at home with parents, this is high praised indeed.
Very good, nice place and gardens. Staff very helpful indeed. Most kind and gentle. Will come again to need to.
Very helpful and caring members of staff! More help is needed for patients who are restricted in bed due to injury, like helping them out of bed to sit in a chair for a period of the day, to keep their mobility. The food for patients who have difficulty eating needs reviewing! Example: Soup needs sieving no stringing bits. Sandwiches some just plain, no mustard, etc.
My father is being well taken care of and it was lovely to have lunch with him and the other residents when we visited. The view from his room is overlooking the garden which was full of daffodils this spring. The staff continued to be very helpful to all my father's needs.
I am so pleased with the care that my brother is getting from Chichester Grange. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The facilities are second to none and the activities provided keep him very entertained. He always seems happy when we visit and well fed and watered with a constant supply of tea and goodies. I am very impressed with the laundry and labelling system, best ever from 18 years in various care homes. The staff pay very close attention to his personal care. Highly recommend.
My father spent a couple of days respite at Chichester Grange before he passed away peacefully as he would have wished. Dad was treated with the utmost care and dignity, as were we, his family. Although he did not get to enjoy all the home has to offer, I am sure he would have been happy there long term, and we are very happy with the choice we made to go with Chichester Grange. Thank you to all the nursing and care staff who made my father's final journey a more peaceful one.
I have nothing but positive things to say about Chichester Grange - my husband's past experience was far from satisfactory - since moving into Chichester Grange he has received top-class care and kindness from everybody. This is a very special place with very special staff - I would certainly recommend it.
From the initial enquiry until Dad entered Chichester Grange, the care, attention to detail, compassion and understanding have been outstanding. The Customer Relations Managers are lovely. They spend so much time making sure you are happy with all the plans for your loved one and regularly check in with you ensuring all is going well. Care staff are warm, caring and quick to put in place everything needed to ensure the safety and comfort of residents. They have developed a real interest and rapport with residents that is clear to see. The home manager is always available and is very approachable. Spotlessly clean, the home is beautiful, with different lounges, a library, cafe and cinema to share with your loved one when you visit. The Lifestyle Lead works hard to provide varied and enjoyable activities which residents engage well with. My relative has settled well and has a beautiful, spacious and comfortable room. We are pleased he is at Chichester Grange.
Excellent home and very kind, caring staff, it’s extremely clean with lots of activities for residents such as cinema, arts and crafts, they have entertainment and exercise classes, it has a lovely cafe with fresh cakes every day. The gardens are large and very well maintained with lots of seating. Dogs are welcome. My mum settled in very quickly on the dementia ward to my relief and greets me with a big smile, she has made many friends now. I would recommend this care home!
Very pleased with the whole experience of getting my mother placed in Chichester Grange care home and the care she has received since she first arrived in December 2023. I looked at several homes in the Chichester (and wider area), choosing Chichester Grange based on appearance, facilities and extensive visits to view and discuss my Mother's needs. Since placing my Mother in Chichester Grange I have been very happy with the professional and above all caring service from the staff. While my Mother has not been an active participant in the activities and social events due to poor health, the weekly newsletter shows an extensive and varied curriculum. The food choices are always good and the quality is excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending Chichester Grange to family and friends should they want to place a loved one into residential or nursing care.
At a very emotional time of transferring my mother into a care home Chichester Grange were amazing to make this as easy as possible. My mother has a lovely room with views of the garden. All the staff are wonderful, the residents are at the heart of everything they do. My mother is looked after in a professional and caring way. Visitors and family are all made welcome, Mother is visited by four different generations, her 4-year-old great-granddaughter loves to see Great Grandma in her new home. I feel so blessed that we found Chichester Grange and highly recommended this wonderful care home.
My parents have been happy and content residents of the Grange for over a year now. I live in Australia and my children (their grandchildren) are scattered all over the world. We were all in the UK for Christmas and the staff at the Grange organised for us to have a private lunch in the bar area. As it was the first time we had all been together for 4 years, it was a very special occasion. The Grange went to an extra effort to provide the right environment, type of food (and wine) and provided us with the privacy and support we needed. One of the staff came in on her day off to check that everything was running smoothly and the chef also checked that we were happy. It all made for a really happy and memorable occasion.
Chichester Grange care home cannot be faulted for its cleanliness. Nor can it be faulted for the activities. The ladies who organise the activities are superb. The only negative I feel is that carers are so rushed off their feet that some residents do not get the attention they need. Also, I have witnessed that at lunchtime, more carers are needed to hand out the food, and sometimes there is insufficient food for what the residents choose. Having only just been introduced to the new manager, I can't starrate this yet.
Mother has been a resident at the Grange for nearly a year. Initially, the change in circumstances took a little getting used to. Making a new life, later in life, can be challenging. However, Mother quickly settled into the routines of community living. Indeed the many communal areas, lounges, craft room, cafe, hair salon, bar, dining rooms and cinema are a great opportunity to mix and chat. To encourage interaction, each day a variety of experiences are on offer. The ensuite bedrooms provide a private space. The rooms are purpose-built with all that entails and give access to a small garden terrace which in turn leads to extensive and well-provisioned communal gardens. To please all of the residents all of the time is a big ask. But the staff go over and beyond to keep the ship on an even keel. It's not a robotic factory, it's a community with lots of moving parts. Overall residents and staff all contribute to making it work. Well done to everyone.
My husband has been a resident for 6 months and has taken some time to settle, but with the help of the staff he is now content. I have always found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Over the last 6 months there were senior management issues, which was noticeable on occasions. However, the remaining staff with their wholehearted commitment and experience held things together. The accommodation and facilities at Chichester Grange are excellent and the events manager is always introducing different activities to engage with the residents and one another.
I am very happy with the care my father gets at the home. All the carers are very friendly and helpful. I am particularly happy with the care and attention given by the lifestyle lead, she is so approachable, caring and always happy to stop and have a chat. She has made the transition for Dad from his own home to the care home seamless and pain-free. Thank you.
I am just happy that my dad is happy. All the carers are very friendly, smiley and welcoming. The Lifestyle Lead is particularly lovely and is absolutely fantastic with all the residents. She is attentive and understanding of each and everyone's particular needs. Thank you!
My mother moved in as a full time resident in February 2023. She says 'they are very nice people here and it is very comfortable living here. The food is good and I can choose what I want. I like the fact everyone smiles at me and says hello in corridors. I take part in Chair Yoga and enjoy the Live Music at The Grange. Everyone is trying to make it a happy place.'
Our family were thrilled to find Chichester Grange as it's proved to be the best place for Aunt. Very caring staff from management to carers and laundry team. Has a warm, homely feel with a café for family and friends to enjoy a cuppa and snack with their loved ones. Would highly recommend.
Our friend and neighbour decided to move into The Grange after having a few falls at home and it was the best decision she had made (her words not ours). We, as neighbours, visit regularly and are always given a warm welcome and a friendly smile from all the staff members who also interact with us and we can have a good chat over coffee and cake, which is available to both residents and visitors in beautiful and relaxing surroundings. Our neighbour has high praise for all the staff members, especially the chef who offers a variety of different meals so everyone is catered for. We often chat to other residents so it makes for a really lovely afternoon visit to listen to life stories. All in all, our neighbour is happy, her family are happy in the knowledge that she is in surroundings where her well-being is first and foremost.
