View Full Details of Cooksons CourtWhat a fantastic place. Everyone is always welcoming & smiling as soon as you walk through the door. My sister-in-law has been in Cooksons Court for over 3 years. She has always had the utmost care. Nothing is too much trouble. We live 2 hrs away so don't get to see her very often. The staff always keep us informed fo everything that's going on. Every day theres different activities for the residents to take part in. We have just come back from their fabulous 10 year celebrations where all staff, residents family and friends were invited. Well done.
Its just a lovely home nothing too much trouble for staff food really good overall very good.
The rooms are comfortable but storage space could be better. The carers are excellent and very helpful. On the whole the staff are efficient and very pleasant. The food is of very high quality and plenty of choices. There could be more activities in the afternoon. I am lucky to be involved in organsing some of the activities eg quizzes, karaoke and especially with the gardening
Cooksons Court is a pleasant place to live in. The rooms are spacious with large windows and have views across the garden. Infact the all round garden is well maintained with relaxing views. The staff are very friendly and always smile when you meet them. The residents are also very friendly towards each other. The activities are suitable for most people with Bingo being the most popular.
I have been here in Cooksons Court for 5 1/2 years and I have been very looked after very well. I am very happy and I wouldn't be anywhere else.
My mother has just celebrated her 105th birthday at Cooksons Court. When on her 100th birthday she took up residency - we never thought she would make a year, never mind a further 5!! All the staff have shown her great respect, kindness and understanding. Cannot thank the whole team for showing her the greatest of care, with so many thanks.
I'm deeply grateful for all the care and kindness I've received during my stay at Cooksons Court in Yeovil. The building is attractive, always clean and tidy, and the staff are unfailingly efficient and friendly. The atmosphere is that of a friendly but professional ideal place, and there couldn't be a better atmosphere for patient confidence and healing. Thank you all, each and everyone - for their kind and friendly support and help.
All the staff have been very nice to my brother and very kind. The home itself is very nice, very clean. Unfortunately my brother does not want to leave his room as he is much younger than the other residents.
I feel well looked after.
Good.
Very efficient staff, always cheerful and competent. Good atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming. All nursing care needs met with exceptional high standards. Very pleased and grateful to be welcomed into the home and treated so well. Lovely team and felt part of a family.
From the moment we entered the building we were greeted with smiles, everyone is friendly and helpful. The care staff are excellent and look after my mother in law with respect and dignity. We know she is safe and being looked after. All the staff at Cooksons are friendly and work hard. It is an excellent nursing home.
We've just celebrated my mothers third Christmas within Cooksons Court. Another year of simply excellent care. Their approach is that Cooksons is not a workplace, but a home for the residents who live there, and this really shows in the personal touches and kindness of the staff. As a family, we cannot thank the team here at Cooksons enough. We see the carers and nurses everyday, but cannot underestimate the work of everyone from the admin team (who keep the wheels turning) through to the cleaners (who keep such incredible standards) in keeping our mothers home so safe and secure. All would agree, we'd rather be in our own homes in our later years. But, as someone who sees the hard work, kindness and care of the people running Cooksons, I would choose this home for myself if I couldn't be in my own.
All the staff on Pippin floor were polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble to make my stay comfortable. The staff were outstanding, especially the physios who actively encouraged me to undertake physio exercises to improve all aspects of my mobility and get me back on my feet and getting my independence back. I was always treated with dignity and respect in all aspects of my care.
I would just like to congratulate the whole team at Cooksons Court, for their everyday commitment to providing a first class service. This is from the receptionists, through the admin and management team, the nursing staff, the catering team, events staff, cleaners and by no means least, the carers. My father has been well looked after by all involved and has said on numerous occasions, how much he enjoys it there and is very appreciative of the help he has been given. It is also very reassuring for my brother and I, as well as the rest of dad's family and friends, to know he is being cared for and looked after, by such a great team of people.
Cooksons Court provided me with enough privacy and company to aid my recovery. I had really good input from the physios and occupational therapists, as well as nurses. It was lovely being allowed to have my pet black Labrador visit as well as lots of my friends. The food was delicious and it was pleasant being able to sit at the dining room for lunches.
After coming from the hospital, I could not have been more impressed by the care I received at Cooksons Court. The helpfulness of the staff was of such a high standard. No one ever liked to spend time in healthcare but it is a home-from-home at Cooksons Court. Thank you.
Our Dad has spent several months stuck in hospital because he needed mobility rehabilitation in order to get home. During the hospital stay, he had declined mentally and physically. Largely due to the stressful environment, he was thrown into. Cooksons Court was like a peaceful haven. Instantly he relaxed and his overall well-being improved. He was able to make progress with it in order to successfully return home.
I could not ask for anything more than the care I receive, as you can by my ratings.
My Mother received fantastic care at Cooksons Court. She was very happy with Pippin Ward and was sad to leave. Every member of staff was so kind and caring to her and also our family. We could relax and know she was fine and happy. Huge thanks to them all.
