As I am a day care person I cannot comment on the rooms as I havn't seen them. All I can say is that the days I have been into Cooksons Court I have had no reason to think other than my ratings. From my first day I have been made to feel very welcome.

My Mum started her journey at Cookson Court in March 2025. After falling and breaking her hip, she had surgery and then post op delirium. Mum was in hospital for 25 nights. We realised that she needed some respite care and after visiting many homes and looking at care in the home we found Cookson
Court. Mum was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2024, Mum struggled to settle and was so emotional, it was a very sad time. However, the nursing care she received and the general care she received was exceptional, slowly mum began to feel better. She was treated gently with the upmost respect for her condition. They coaxed her to become involved with various activities but never forced her, she still struggles now to interact but she has found her safe place. I have enjoyed my visits to Cookson Court. You are welcomed with open arms by all of the team. I can get updates on Mum at anytime.
The home itself is absolutely beautiful, the soft furnishings make it a pleasure to spend time there. And the cleanliness can't be faulted.

I'd highly recommend this nursing home to anyone.

I have been at Cooksons Court for a few days now to be with my Dad, Peter, who has been a resident here since April this year. As I am so far away in Australia, it has been wonderful getting to know the other residents and to see the beautiful interaction between them and the staff. For me, it has
made me feel so much better knowing that Dad is looked after so well. We had Sophie come for lunch (my niece), and Tammy and the other staff members treated us to an amazing lunch and a sing song to finish.

What a fantastic place. Everyone is always welcoming & smiling as soon as you walk through the door. My sister-in-law has been in Cooksons Court for over 3 years. She has always had the utmost care. Nothing is too much trouble. We live 2 hrs away so don't get to see her very often. The staff always
keep us informed fo everything that's going on. Every day theres different activities for the residents to take part in. We have just come back from their fabulous 10 year celebrations where all staff, residents family and friends were invited. Well done.

The rooms are comfortable but storage space could be better. The carers are excellent and very helpful. On the whole the staff are efficient and very pleasant. The food is of very high quality and plenty of choices. There could be more activities in the afternoon. I am lucky to be involved in
organsing some of the activities eg quizzes, karaoke and especially with the gardening

Cooksons Court is a pleasant place to live in. The rooms are spacious with large windows and have views across the garden. Infact the all round garden is well maintained with relaxing views. The staff are very friendly and always smile when you meet them. The residents are also very friendly towards
each other. The activities are suitable for most people with Bingo being the most popular.

My mother has just celebrated her 105th birthday at Cooksons Court. When on her 100th birthday she took up residency - we never thought she would make a year, never mind a further 5!!
All the staff have shown her great respect, kindness and understanding. Cannot thank the whole team for showing
her the greatest of care, with so many thanks.

I'm deeply grateful for all the care and kindness I've received during my stay at Cooksons Court in Yeovil. The building is attractive, always clean and tidy, and the staff are unfailingly efficient and friendly. The atmosphere is that of a friendly but professional ideal place, and there couldn't
be a better atmosphere for patient confidence and healing.
Thank you all, each and everyone - for their kind and friendly support and help.

We've just celebrated my mothers third Christmas within Cooksons Court. Another year of simply excellent care.
Their approach is that Cooksons is not a workplace, but a home for the residents who live there, and this really shows in the personal touches and kindness of the staff.
As a family, we
cannot thank the team here at Cooksons enough. We see the carers and nurses everyday, but cannot underestimate the work of everyone from the admin team (who keep the wheels turning) through to the cleaners (who keep such incredible standards) in keeping our mothers home so safe and secure.
All would agree, we'd rather be in our own homes in our later years. But, as someone who sees the hard work, kindness and care of the people running Cooksons, I would choose this home for myself if I couldn't be in my own.
