People/staff are extremely helpful & chatty. It's like living in a 5 star hotel.
I have no complaints.
My mum is 87 with early stages of dementia and had to be relocated to Hutton Manor over 6 weeks ago, having looked at other numerous care homes. From day one, two staff members in particular were and are brilliant with great communication and support. From our first day to moving my mum in, all the staff were so accommodating, supportive and understanding and continue with attentive support and care for my mum. This place is brilliant, more like a hotel! All staff are there for the care of the residents, patient, experienced and understanding with all the residents. Mum's room is lovely, spacious and beautiful decorated, overlooking the car park. We put a phone line in so that my mum had a private phone in her bedroom which was definitely needed. I would definitely recommend Hutton Manor. They have made mum very comfortable and really helped reassure me as it was a terrible experience moving her. We consider ourselves to be very, very lucky to have found such a great place for her. Wow!
Everyone at Hutton Manor are absolutely lovely to my Mum and very supportive to us as a family. They really do go above and beyond to do what they can to help Mum, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are attentive, accommodating and very approachable and they have made a real effort to care for Mum. I cannot commend them enough. THANK YOU EVERYONE VERY MUCH.
I can say that the care my mother has received has been excellent, there isn't a bad word to say about the staff, they are brilliant.
A clean and friendly environment . Staff are extremely helpful and the rooms have all required facilities. Large reception area with coffee and a bar. Activities provided twice a day and plenty of outdoor space with seating.
My grandma moved here after an awful experience at another care home. She is loved by the staff even when she's being mischievous. The staffing team show a lot of dedication to their roles and to the residents. Overall a great place for our relatives to live out the rest of their time.
A massive thank you to all the team at Hutton Manor for the care and welfare they provided to Mum. We were lucky enough to find a place here in April after Mum spent time in hospital and was unable to return to her own flat due to her ongoing battle with dementia. The entire team and the support they provided until her passing this week has been first class. Thank you all.
Very impressed with the overall ambience of this home. Clean, well cared for; very nice, professional staff. My father has settled in very quickly and is happy with his decision to become a resident. Lots of activities for him to join in, seems to have made some new friends already. I would have no hesitation in recommending this Home to other potential residents.
Hutton Manor is an exceptionable care home. Staff, and by this I mean all the staff, constantly interact with the residents, a policy evidently led by an empathic, caring, management philosophy and approach. Residents are clearly valued as reflected by my mother-in-law's sense of now being in 'her new home'. The home operate a weekly resident's programme of events including external singers, bingo, quizzes, pet therapy etc etc. Standards of care for residents and the building's upkeep are very high and the deserved sense of pride all the staff have in the quality of their work shines through. Management actively seek their resident's, and relatives, comments and views with regards the facilities etc which helps relatives feel they are still involved with the care of their loved ones.
My mother was a resident at Hutton Manor, on the specialist dementia floor, for just under two years. During this period she received outstanding care, attention and support. She sadly passed away recently and in her final days, she was looked after with great care, dignity and love. Hutton Manor is an outstanding establishment with wonderful, caring staff.
I'm delighted with this care home, and after the experience I've endured with another service close by, I thought I'd review Hutton Manor. The home manager and her lovely team have been beyond kind and it's been lovely to see how my mum has settled in. The manager has made a point of updating me and making me feel Mum is safe and looked after, and the activity team seem to have turned my mum's life upside down with so many things going on. It really has been life-changing for her and all to the good. Thank you everyone at Hutton Manor for your absolute kindness and enthusiasm, it's a difficult job, but you are all excellent and medal winners in my eyes.
I found the staff friendly and made my wife feel at home. The room is exemplary, and they have encouraged her to join in with others, bingo/carol services. She seems happy there.
My friend and neighbour booked in for 2 weeks of respite with the added bonus of making it permanent if she settled. She had reservations about going into 24-hour care but after meeting staff and other residents these fears were very quickly overcome. After 2 days in respite she decided she wanted to stay. Her room is very comfortable and as a visitor, I too am made to feel very welcome. She can’t understand why she didn’t make this move earlier. Looking forward to sitting out with her in her private garden when the weather improves.
Having done respite my sister-in-law did not want to go home so she stayed! On visiting I could not believe how happy and settled she was. I was impressed. The staff are very friendly and helpful and it is a pleasure to visit.
Mum became a guest at Hutton Manor in Sept. 2022 after a severe fall that kept her in hospital for 6 weeks. We realised while she was in the hospital she would no longer be able to look after herself at home. We live in the USA. We looked at several facilities, but Hutton Manor stood out, it has the look of a 5 star hotel, plus the in-depth tour made up our minds. Mum accepted the fact that she had to be there, but was not happy about it. The staff had endless amounts of patience with her. We had great peace of mind knowing she was so well looked after. The facility was spotlessly clean, the food plentiful and in some cases made to order. At nearly 92 years old Mum was set in her ways, but all the staff were exceptional with her. The staff were always available when I called to check on mum. It gave us peace of mind knowing how well she was looked after. Mum sadly died on Mar. 5, 2023, but 2 staff members attended her funeral. I would def recommend Hutton Manor, a fantastic place.
My mum has only been in the care of Hutton Manor for a few days so far - but I feel the need to write this review already! Wow - was the first word that came to mind when we arrived at Hutton Manor, the interior is absolutely beautiful and looks exactly like the online pictures! The friendliness and smiles from the lovely receptionist put my nervous mum at ease straight away. For which I’m really grateful! Every member of staff has treated my mum with respect and I can honestly say I’ve not seen her as happy in a long time. The care given is exceptional which is giving me peace of mind knowing Mum is safe and all her needs are being met above and beyond expectations.
Dad arrived at Hutton Manor on the 24th of December 2022. On my first impression, it's a lovely bright fresh care home which hasn't been open that long. The rooms are big enough with a toilet and shower in them. Staff always seem friendly and helpful when I've spoken to them. Dad has already been taken out by the staff that run the activities. They have a dining room for meal times which all the residents can go to if they choose to. They also have a coffee shop on the ground floor so when visiting you all can have a drink and chat but it's not open yet due to Covid I think which is a shame but I'm sure it will be soon.
We are very happy with Mums care all the staff are friendly and helpful. They take good care of Mum and always have the time to talk to her and keep her informed on whats going on. We have rung the home out of normal hours and they do everything they can to help.
We would recommend Hutton Manor Care Home, without reservation, to anyone who requires residential care. A very good friend from our church community is a permanent resident and could not have chosen a better home. She is delighted with her spacious ensuite room which is always warm and bright and gives access to a secure patio where she can sit out during the summer months. The communal areas of the home are very impressive and immaculately kept, there is a lovely atmosphere throughout, unrivalled in our experiences of any other care home. The in-house facilities are very good, particularly the hair salon. The staff are first rate, happy, friendly and very helpful. Our friend needs additional help because she is unable to walk and extremely deaf but the staff always seem to have endless patience with her and never appear rushed or frustrated. They always take time to write down anything they need to ask her or whatever they need to explain to her. Thank you to all.
