View Full Details of McGonagall HouseHave left a review before about the care not only to residents but to friends and family as having health issues of my own the manager has spent time out her busy schedule to ask how my results from hospital are and rest of staff so caring if it came to it that be the place I would like to be as working with the British nursing agency it definitely one of the best places for you family and friends to be
The staff are very good and helpful. Bedroom, toilet always clean. My brother is a tidy and well dressed.
I should some off the staff to knit. I live McGonagall House as the staff are good they are always there to speak to you and they are supported when you need them. The staff at McGonagall House are really good I have been hear for three years now at I love it we also have bedroom and toilet all the room are like that here.
When you walk into Mcgonagall House you are struck by the brightness and cleanliness of the place. There is a beautiful hairdressers and sensory room which I thought were amazing. The staff are very welcoming and helpful nothing is too much trouble, staff have been amazing to my brother his family and friends who visit him I cannot thank them enough for always making us feel so welcome
I was asked to come to Mcgonagall House by my Doctor. At first, I was reluctant but agreed in the end. It turned out to be the best move I made in years, for being an alcoholic I was on a downward spiral to a quick end. The staff at the house made me welcome and were not judgemental, the rooms are very comfortable with an ensuite wet room, the food is satisfactory and since Enhance Healthcare has been holding the reins, the place has had a remarkable makeover. I have had reviews with my care worker and I look forward to quite a long stay at the house, which now has become my home, and to reside in relative comfort. I have made a remarkable recovery with the help of the staff and management at the house and the security it provides. This journey has taken me 3 years on the 14th of June, and it has been well worth it.
The more visits I make to the care home, the more I am disappointed by the standards. Tonight, the evening meal was disgusting - cheap frozen fish cakes and watery spaghetti hoops. There was no care taken with the presentation. The previous visit, I witnessed two staff members removing a resident from the lounge, with no warning to the resident and completely against all moving and assisting protocols. It was upsetting to witness. My friend who is a resident eats his meal alone every single evening, in his room with the door closed and there is very little age-appropriate activity for him to engage in. One staff member is very intrusive when I visit and I worry about the resident safety and care standards when there are no visitors present. Staff seemed to change continually and staffing levels appear to be an issue. Would not recommend.
