Clapham Lodge Care Home

I enjoyed my time staying at Clapham Lodge the carer's, carering staff, & laundrey staff in here all very helpful as where the people organising quizes, bingo singers etc.

I have had an excellent convalescence at Clapham Lodge from a knee replacement operation. All staff treated me with care, kindness and dignity. There was an excellent programme of activities but as I didn't feel too good I was not able to avail myself of them. Food and drink were excellent. I had a beautiful room on the ground floor overlooking a little garden. Good value for money. I would return any time I felt the need.

The home is in a lovely beautiful area overlooking countryside, church and village. The rooms are sufficient and food is very good at same time each day. The staff are freat and understand the needs of each resident. There is plenty of entertainment including Bingo, crafts, quizzes, singers all types of entertainmers even pet dog sits on their laps parties. Medication dealt with and brilliant wtih any emergencies that occur. Parking for visitors is always available and can visit anytime.

I visited my aunt today and was really pleased to see how well she's being cared for. There was entertainment taking place in the lounge, which created a lovely, lively atmosphere, and she looked genuinely happy. It was also nice to see her looking forward to her lunch - a small but meaningful sign that she's comfortable and settled. Overall, it was very reassuring to see her in such good spirits and in a place where she's clearly well looked after.

We feel that Clapham Lodge is an outstanding care home for my mother-in-law. She has settled in well over the year and the staff are amazing,m kind & caring. Food is great & adequate and varied. Activities are outstanding with live music events each week. It's a great home & we feel happy knowing she is safe & looked after.

My Mum has only been a Clapham for 2 months but we have found the home to be warm and friendly with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. All the staff seem genuinely happy and friendly and are always willing to help in any way they can. Mum often comments how good the food is! There is a variety of daily activities. The home is always clean and tidy.

All the staff at Clapham Lodge are immensely caring, from the managers and care staff to the cleaners and catering staff. Nothing is ever too much for them to sort out and the whole home feels full of positivity

I am very pleased to say that the care given to my mother over the past 12 months has been excellent. She is very happy and settled at the home, not least due to the warmth of the staff and the care and attention that they give to her. They have demonstrated to me a high level of care for my mother on a consistent basis. They showed much kindness in the way they nurtured my mother following a recent fall.

Both my parents have recently moved into Clapham Lodge and they are both very happy. I always feel welcome when I visit, the staff are really lovely. It feels so homely and I am so at ease knowing my parents are being well cared for. Nothing ever feels too much trouble for the staff

We moved our mum after recommendations from friends. Immediately our mum seemed more relaxed and happy. Her room is beautiful and the feel of the place is lovely, friendly staff, good interaction between residents, easy contact with our mum by phone.

I just wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks to all of you at Clapham Lodge. Six weeks ago, we thought our time with Mum was limited, but thanks to the exceptional 24-hour care she's been receiving, she has thrived in ways we never expected. Every day, she is happy, and it's truly remarkable to see the difference in her from the person she was in the hospital to now. Your dedication and care have made all the difference, and we are incredibly grateful for the positive impact you've had on her well-being. Thank you for everything you do.

The staff are always polite and welcoming. The whole building always smells fresh and clean.

Happy that my mum's final residence is in lovely surroundings and that she is being taken care of.

After a time and with a lot of heartache and discussion we all felt Mum would be happier safer and better cared for if she became a permanent resident and we can now feel at ease knowing she is safe and cared for 24/7. Many thanks to all who work so hard and make it a very friendly kind place to be.

I have had a relative at Clapham Lodge for five years. I chose it after months of unannounced visits and research around Sussex. After regular interaction in those five years, I had no hesitation in moving Mum in recently. High praise indeed! All the staff are amazing and feel like an extended family, making you and your circle so welcome from day one. There is plenty to do in the large lounge, but quiet areas when you need them. The whole place is warm, clean and regularly upgraded. It is slightly quirky in a beautiful old building, full of heart and happiness. Certainly not a sterile, tick-box operation. The staff will bend backwards to accommodate any whim in daily life with more grace and smiles than I could ever muster when worn to a frazzle. Clapham Lodge is a home in the very best sense of the word, and I am so grateful to have found it. I rest easy knowing Mum is amongst friends 24/7 and our time spent together is quality time (rather than problem solving and moans) usually with fresh baked cake and tea.

Clapham Lodge is a homely, friendly, happy environment where the staff are all lovely! There is much going on and a lovely garden. The manager listens to any concerns and seems to resolve everything. The staff are all very approachable and help the residents in any way they can. There's a very professional but relaxed atmosphere where the staff respects the resident's wishes but also maintains very high care standards and support.

Communication with our family is excellent no matter how big or small the issue. Fantastic experience all around.

The food looked great and the cleanliness of the home was very good.

The food was very good and plentiful. Mum had a lovely room overlooking the courtyard which was kept spotlessly clean. Sadly she passed away in hospital 8 months after arriving at Clapham Lodge. The carers were genuinely upset to hear of her death and her main carer attended her funeral. Thanks to all at Clapham Lodge.

Our mum recently came to stay at Clapham Lodge Care Home after a fall and progressive dementia. The staff treated our mum with kindness, care and respect. They were so accommodating and patient, always doing their utmost. The night our mum passed away the staff could not have done more to support her and our family - their care was exceptional. We will never forget the kindness and love shown to her and we will be forever grateful for the happy memories you gave our mum during her stay. Thank you all so much.
