Wellburn House Care Home

As my brother in law is deceased, I am filing in this review. He was well looked after for the seven years he was in Wellburn House. Could find no fault with the home. The staff were excellent.

Catering done to cover everybody's needs. Lovely safe place for elderly people.

I've found the home very good and they take great care of my mam. I have found the staff excellent. Her hygiene is kept ot a high standard which I am pleased about.

The care has been very good, the girls are excellent I can't praise them enough. The girl who the entertainment has been brilliant. The senior has been brilliant with my auntie. I would recommend Wellburn House care home to anyone.

Overall very good, sometimes I find my friend needs a little more help because my friend always gives the impression she can manage herself. A little extra time to make sure she is dressed correctly. She is very happy and the staff are very good with her. All her needs are met.

My mother has been in Wellburn for nearly four years now, and from the moment she arrived she and us, were greeted with a warm welcome from all members of staff and shown around the home and her room, which was clean and tidy. Staff are friendly, caring and full of support. The dining area is spacious and serves lovely food. Activities are set up in the lounge most days, which the residents enjoy; also visits from local choirs, school children , and entertainers. Overall its reassuring to know my mother is happy and settled in a lovely home.

Mum has been in Wellburn House for over 6 years, has always been happy and well looked after. Staff are friendly and caring. Mum has had a few accidents and illness problems, but has been dealt with quickly. She is happy there.

I found visiting the home there were brown spot on the floor in the rooms. This happens when the patients are being changed. I think you know what I am referring to. I noticed the cleaners are working and they use a mops. Mops are useful for mopping up spillages not for cleaning large scale floors. I have visited other homes. They have an electric rotate cleaner. It cleans with spray or cleaner, it also scrubs the floor and sucks up the water and leaves a clean surface and removes any stains. This is not a complaint. I am sure the clearers do try to do a good job and do their best. In my job I would try and make the work more effective for the employee.

The care given to Dad when he was unwell and the compassion shown in his final days was deeply appreciated. Dad could not have been in a more, caring, loving environment, which was a great comfort to his family at this difficult and emotional time. Thank you to everyone.

The home is just about perfect, I have had a lot to do with nursing homes as my wife has had nursing experience since 1966. We have found the care is brilliant all the staff look after me as well as my wife.They are all so friendly and happy, and nothing is too much for them The home is very clean and the food is lovely, cant express how happy we are knowing my wife is well looked after and safe.

I should like to thank staff at Wellburn for helping to make my elderly father's 96th birthday special. The Activities Coordinator gave my father a card signed by residents and staff. Thanks especially to the chef who made a beautiful birthday cake for him and even peureed a slice so that he was able to eat and enjoy it - wonderful.

Wellburn House was mums home for five years and the care she received was wonderful. All of the staff have been kind, caring, helpful, professional, supportive and cheerful. They knew her well and despite some challenging times, they enabled mum to live her best possible life while she was there. And she always said how good the food was! Thank you to everyone at Wellburn House.

The staff have been absolutely amazing, extremely helpful, caring and compassionate. My mam was in safe and caring hands throughout her time in Wellburn House. I will always be extremely grateful to all the staff there for the way they looked after my mum and our family. We could not have wished for a better team of carers.

Mum's been here for 12 weeks and settled very well. The staff are very good, kind and always obliging.

Mum has been a resident of Wellburn for the past year. I have nothing but praise and respect for all the staff who have looked after Mum, they go the extra mile to make sure she is comfortable and happy. There's always something going on to entertain the residents thanks to the great activities coordinator. I have great peace of mind when I leave mum to go home as I know she is being very well looked after. Thank you all for your support.

I visit regularly and it's just lovely.

Very happy atmosphere. The staff are so helpful, they make time to chat to the residents - elderly people need to be noticed. They made me feel very welcome with a cup of tea, biscuits and a chair.

I was sent to Wellburn House Care Centre for respite after being in hospital for three weeks. Having arrived there I was treated with kindness and compassion and all my medical needs were professionally done for me. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made my stay more enjoyable and carried out their duties to a high standard. Highly recommend.

I have been looked after very well - fantastic.

My mother is in this home. She has been here since August 2022. The staff and management are brilliant. They have gone above and beyond to accommodate my mother and her extra needs with her dementia. Excellent.
