Barchester Lynde House Care Home is without doubt one of Richmond’s best Care Homes; located by the River Thames with views of The Terrace and surrounding meadows.
Built in 1998 and acquired by Barchester Healthcare in 2004, Lynde House has consistently grown in reputation for the care provided by our first class team of staff. We have retained traditional values of compassion, care and dignity whilst celebrating life to the full. Innovative thinking and an understanding of our resident and relatives expectations has elevated standards to the highest levels; contradicting the bad press which has engulfed care homes over recent months and years. Nutrition is a key aspect of the care we provide and our award winning Chef and his team provides first class food, freshly prepared at breakfast, lunchtime and in the evening, seven days of the week.
Our room all have ensuite toilets, TV’s and are decorated to the highest standard. Residents are encouraged to bring their treasured possessions with them when moving into their new home.

We have particular expertise in care for residents who have had a stroke and end of life care but we also have many residents who are quite independent but enjoy the caring aspects of the home, the company and the huge range of activities and socialising that goes on day after day.
Our general manager is an experienced professional manager with over 25 years in healthcare, most recently as Director of Clinical services of an acute NHS Hospital Trust. She is supported by a team of dedicated professionals whose raison d’aitre is to maintain the highest of standards for our residents in a professional but relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Barchester puts staff development as one of the core aspects to achieving good quality care; we at Lynde House endorse this fully and ensure a well-trained, competent team of staff to care for our residents.

My mother has been here for 6 1/2 years and I feel it has prolonged her life. She is now 104 1/2 years old. The staff are all very caring. The management is very good and deal with any issues or problems swiftly and efficiently. The order and cleanliness of the home is 100%. The food is varied and interesting. They organise things inside the home and outdoors to in the summer, to suit all tastes.

A very large house, with three lounges, all with many comfortable chairs and televisions. A very pretty garden which we all enjoy, our own rooms are well furnished and things from home added made welcome. All the staff are very keen to help in every way. A visit from a doctor each week and comes at any time if wanted. Every day a programme of activities and films are shown on Sundays.

I would recommend this care home for the peace of mind it gives me over the care given to my Mother. I feel her interests are put first and her physical and mental wellbeing are considered at all times. The staff are friendly, courteous and considerate and show affection and kindness towards the residents, which is something I value highly. The home also has other attributes such as cleanliness, good decor, nice food, a good restaurant and a lovely garden. There are also a wonderful range of activities on offer for residents to enjoy, often with families as well. Parties and social activities are also organised regularly.
