Epilepsy Society is a UK leading provider of epilepsy services. As a national charity, they offer support to everyone affected by the condition and strive to raise awareness of epilepsy.
The charity provide leaflets, factsheets, booklets and DVDs on different aspects of epilepsy, and have also developed an interactive smartphone app to help people manage their seizures and remember to take medication.
A helpline, open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday, supports over 5,000 callers a year, and an online forum offers a place for people affected by epilepsy to connect with others in similar situations.
The charity campaigns to ensure the voice of people affected by epilepsy is heard, and work in partnership with other neurological organisations to influence decision makers.
Epilepsy Society’s globally renowned pioneering research is making great strides in finding the underlying causes of epilepsy and optimising seizure control. A centre of medical excellence provides the latest diagnostic tests, assessments and treatment. The charity also offer a comprehensive range of care services, and training for individuals and healthcare professionals.
