My father went to st Winifred's under palliative care he is now walking with the aid of a Zimmer which is all credit to the care he has received whilst being in st Winifred's. The staff are amazing nothing is too much trouble the food always looks and smells delicious, my father has settled well and is happy to be staying at the home, the staff go above and beyond to be inclusive and cater for everyone's needs. As a family this is our first experience of care homes I would wholeheartedly recommend st Winifred's to anyone looking for somewhere for their loved ones, my father couldn't have been looked after better anywhere else. Dad isn't one for games and activities but Kath seems to know just how to handle him, the thought and time that go into the varied activities yet again catering for each residents abilities both physically and mentally is amazing.

I can't speak highly enough of the care my dad receives here. From the moment he arrived, the manager and his team have shown genuine compassion, professionalism, and dedication. They treat every resident with dignity and kindness, and it's clear they truly care about the people they look after.

The staff go above and beyond to create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and they always take the time to listen, support, and reassure both residents and families. It gives me real peace of mind knowing my dad is in such capable and caring hands.

The atmosphere is always friendly and positive, and it's lovely to see how well the team connects with everyone. I'm incredibly grateful for everything they do each day ... this place is truly special.

The food has been lovely too and the carers and nursing staff are patient and kind.

Very clean, long term staff, professional, great food. Brilliant activities overall amazing. Feels very friendly & open doors to speak like family. Very welcoming just needs updating decor & outside.

My mother was admitted to St. Winifred's just over a week ago. The reception from staff has been fantastic. They have enabled mum to settle in quickly. All staff are friendly, caring and compassionate. All happy to give an update on care and treatment at each visit. There are lots of activities for residents to get involved with whatever the degree of ability. The care I've seen so far has been flexible and responsive, and to a high standard. I have no complaints at all.

The team at Swarthdale Nursing Home were absolutely brilliant with my mum, from a warm welcome to her beautiful, clean room, overlooking the garden, to when she sadly passed, nearly 8 weeks later. Their caring attention to her personal needs and thoughtfulness of her clothing and comfort was so good to see. We would have no hesitation recommending this home to anyone.

I always received a warm welcome on visiting and always kept up to date with my mother's care. Mum liked her final home and was happy there.

In a difficult year and few weeks adjusting to the changes for us as a family and in particular mum. Now to have mum in a supportive, caring and well led environment has helped this so much. Everyone so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Very responsive. Nothing too much trouble. Very kind.

It was a pleasure being at St. Winifred's nearly everything about the place was excellent. The management and staff were helpful and friendly. The food was wonderful. The activities coordinator was very enthusiastic - the activities were enjoyable. My room was comfortable; it was very useful to have the bathroom and lift just opposite; the one comment I would make is that my room was ripe for refurbishment.

Absolutely brilliant all the staff at the home definitely recommend to everyone always they all looked after him loads. Thank you for looking after my dad he really loved entertainm just everything fantastic. Thank you xx

There look after dad. And there did a fantastic job of care. All staff was good. Always Happy. Thank you hard work put in. Always smiling, has face and was always look very smart and his room always nice and clean all the home. The food was good he got on well with stalff he told us all real nice, enjoys bingo and singers. I really like care he got i would recommend this home been there few years. We have been with Swarthdale Nursing Home for 8 months. I have found that there is nothing I can have problems with. From the top manager to staff, carers, nurses and cleaners, they are all brilliant, friendly and very helpful.

There is a feeling of genuine warmth and affection from staff towards my mother-in-law. It is heartening for us to know that she is so well looked after and so well settled.

Great bunch of staff, down to earth and a credit to the care home. Food all made form scratch and homemade. Courtyard outside is safe and secure, lovely to sit out in better weather. Hairdresser available when wanted, very good too!

We would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone; they work extremely hard to make it what it is.

I think our experience here has been outstanding, and the services have been great. My grandad has been a resident for three months and has been well cared for and has enjoyed his time here. He ikes the activities that are provided and the food he is served. Overall, it has been a great experience, and I would highly recommend this care home to people that are looking for one. Great place and great workers.

The care home has been fantastic, and the staff have been wonderful, helping with the care of my husband. I would recommend St Winifred's to anyone who is looking for a care home for someone in their family or friends.

The experience we have had in the last ten weeks that Dad has been a resident at the home has been a positive one. Dad came into the home very unwell and has made fantastic progress while here, and as a family, we believe this is due to the care he has received. The staff are friendly and approachable, and we hope that the remainder of his stay going forward is the same.

I would happily recommend this nursing to family and friends as they have been absolutely amazing with my mother.
