My Mum spent her last 22 months in this wonderful caring and family-run care home. The owners and carers are lovely people and I am so glad that she was here when she needed such a level of care with her dementia. The gathering for Christmas Day of residents, their close family and the owners' families
is a sight and experience to behold. All residents are bought thoughtful Christmas presents and this demonstrates the type of care home this is - a very caring one that is highly recommended for your loved ones. I would describe it as a peaceful caring environment, with dedicated carers and owners/managers.

I was extremely fortunate to have found Beech Haven when my family was in need of residential care for my elderly parents. Beech Haven was able to accommodate them both at short notice and provide us all with peace of mind. My father has lived there now for nearly two years and has nothing but praise
for the standard of care he receives.
Beech Haven is a family run care home, and this shows in that it feels like a familiar home rather than an institution. All members of staff, from management to maintenance are friendly and welcoming. Whenever I visit, whoever opens the door knows who I am and who I am visiting, and are always able to let me know the latest on my father’s welfare and wellbeing. The staff are unfailingly attentive and caring, and always seem to have a kettle on in the kitchen. The food is of a good standard, much of it prepared on the premises; my father’s only complaint is that there is too much of it! I recommend Beech Haven to anyone seeking a care home in Ealing.

Beech Haven is run by a husband and wife and their two sons. The accommodation is three large detached houses converted into a single building with lifts. It is situated off Haven Green in easy reach of Ealing Broadway station.
My mother is 99 years old. She has been a resident for nearly 2 years and
in that time the support and kindness they have given us I can only describe as outstanding. My mother's behaviour on occasions can by challenging but staff cope really well always showing her kindness and respect, her clothes and bedding are changed regularly. My mum loves the food you can have a roast almost every day with fresh veg. I notice the food comes from the supermarket. There are professional entertains visiting every month and a barbecue in the summer, there is a lovely back garden with fruit trees.
When you walk through the front door you feel as if you are entering a family house. I am always greeted by staff warmly, and offered tea. The home always smells fresh.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.0 (7.985) out of 10 for Beech Haven is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.2 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.818 for Beech Haven is calculated as follows: ( (9 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 11 Ratings = 4.818
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.167 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Beech Haven is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 registered maximum number of service users is 6. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 6 = 0.167
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
