Sahara House consists of two care facilities that specialise in looking after up to nineteen people who suffer from learning disabilities, with the physically disabled also able to experience long-term care here.
The aim of staff is to encourage service users to develop their own sense of independence, whilst allowing residents to enjoy a pleasant social environment with all their health concerns considered.
Residents are given a versatile outlook on the living environment, being able to personalised an environnment that is already fully-furnished for comfort.

He enjoys all the indoor and outdoor activities they provide for all the residents. My son looks forward to going there every weekend. The carers look after my son and all the residents very well and the house is kept clean and well maintained. They have been great with keeping me updated on my son and have had a really good experience with all my dealings with them. I would definitely recommend Sahara Care to others. With extensive experience in adult social care, learning disabilities, autism, mental health support, safeguarding, Positive Behaviour Support, quality assurance and operational leadership, Raghbir is passionate about people's rights, helping people achieve their goals, maintain meaningful relationships and live fulfilling lives. He works closely with families, health professionals, commissioners, local authorities and the staff team to ensure every person receives high-quality support tailored to their individual needs, aspirations and preferences.

Nicholas joined Sahara in 2018 as a Senior Support Worker at Sahara Parkside, moving to Sahara Lodge and Gardens in 2020 and Sahara House in 2024, where he became Deputy Manager. His experience across all three services has helped develop the skills and knowledge he brings to his leadership role.
Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis while at Parkside, Nicholas feels his personal experience has strengthened his empathy and understanding, supporting a compassionate, person-centred approach.
As Deputy Manager, he has helped improve service quality, regulatory compliance and staff practice. Following the December 2025 CQC inspection, Sahara House moved from Requires Improvement to full compliance across the areas inspected—reflecting his commitment to high standards and people’s safety and wellbeing.
Nicholas champions dignity, choice, independence and inclusion, working with people, families, staff and professionals to achieve personalised support and positive outcomes. He also coaches and mentors colleagues, shares practical skills and promotes learning, teamwork and open communication, helping staff feel valued and confident in delivering high-quality care.
