I worked for the Abbeyfield Maidenhead Society for 12 years. I began my career career at Nicholas house as a care assistant working my way up to Registered Manager then in 2023 becoming General Manager for the society.
I am temporarily managing Winton house alongside a fabulous team whilst a suitable Registered manager is recruited.
I started my career in general building and plastering after leaving school. In my early 20s, I transitioned to managing chain pubs/restaurants. Motivated by my parents’ battle with cancer, I decided to change my career path to make a meaningful difference. After my father passed away, I took a blind leap into social care in 2009, starting as a support worker for adults with complex learning difficulties.
Since then, I have been keen to progress and experience all areas of social care. I have managed five care homes before joining Abbeyfield Maidenhead, specialising in learning disabilities, dementia, and residential nursing. I have also worked for the local authority (Surrey), where I was made redundant after home closures. Subsequently, I have worked for large private providers of residential and luxury care.
At home, I dedicate my time to my family, including my two young children. My commitment to family is as strong as my dedication to my work.
I really enjoy my job, and I am confident my skills and past experience will enhance Winton House
I have worked in the health and social care industry for many years.
I have been a carer and senior carer, then moved within the sector to fulfil a more administrative role.
I have been at Winton House since 2018 and I enjoy my role, meeting residents and relatives at the start of their care home journey and continuing to build relationships with my colleagues too.
I believe in maintaining honest and open communication with both staff and residents, fostering a positive and collaborative environment where everyone is valued equally. I value everyone the same and recognise that we all need to positively work together to create a good service.
I am eager to contribute to projects and initiatives that enhance the overall well-being of our residents.
For those seeking a care home for themselves or a relative, I can assure you that Winton House provides a safe environment where individuality is respected and where exceptional care is a top priority.
Outside of work, I like to stay active by hitting the gym, going for walks, indulging in gardening, reading, and lifelong learning. In addition to my caring role, I hold a degree in Physiotherapy from Romania and I am also fluent in Spanish.
