Reviewer Connection to Beechlands
Review submitted from a Website Submission by Diane C (Daughter of Resident) on Wednesday 21 June 2017. Relates to November 2016.
My mother lived here for just over a year, she had advanced Alzheimer's dementia and could no longer walk or talk.
Mum always loved her music so the staff made sure her headphones were charged for the next day.
The staff always smiled and made sure she always had a drink with a straw on her table, we made jokes that the straws should be longer to fit into a jug.
Mum's room was a shared room with a wonderful lady over 100 years young as the home was fully occupied at the time.
The room was large and bright with a large bay window looking out to the garden which was on the ground floor just a few foot steps to the front parlour which was so homely. It was oldish, not posh but everyone there was happy due to the comfort, plenty of room and plenty to eat and drink.
The garden of the home is large with a couple of fish ponds, we enjoyed our time there and the garden fetes they put on.
Some of the staff have worked at the home for many years and are truly dedicated to caring for others.
