My mother has been a resident at Beach Crest for nearly 3 years. Management and staff have taken such good care of her, it's like family. They answer any queries or concerns we might have immediately.
Mums dignity and safety is paramount.
She is always clean, happy and content. Her room and private wet room is immaculate and her bed comfy. The staff are always kind and courteous to us when we visit.
Although mum mostly prefers to stay in her own room, the lounge is lovely and there is always something happening in the afternoon for residents to enjoy, such as exercise classes and sing along sessions. Mum has dementia and the staff are so patient, they obviously care a lot for her.
Beach Crest is in a beautiful setting.
In the summer the residents can sit in the front garden enjoying the amazing sea views and in the winter mum has a patio door in her room which looks out on to the pretty garden.
All in all really great value for money.

I would highly recommend Beach Crest

We couldn't be happier with Beach Crest Care Home. Mum went there in May 2025 originally for respite care whilst her live-in carer was away but her care needs really had become too much for one person - she has vascular dementia & Alzheimer's - & so it is now her home. All the staff, particularly Bev the manager of the home, have been incredibly supportive, kind & understanding not only with mum but with me & my siblings too. Bev & the staff always have time for mum & us.They have managed to get mum properly assessed & she is now on appropriate medication so is calmer & really loves the care staff there. They give mum a lot of 1:1 time & show real care & love. It really is a proper 'home' so for mum, it felt like the perfect place. I had so many reservations about care homes but now have none at all regarding Beach Crest. I would recommend it to anyone. We can't thank them all enough for all they do for mum and us as a family. (And the sea view is exceptional too)

Beach Crest Care Home has been an absolute blessing for my mother and our whole family. The facilities are kept to an exceptional standard, that are, warm, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed to make every resident feel safe and at home. What truly sets Beach Crest apart is the immense care delivered by the owners and the amazing team.

Every interaction shows genuine compassion, patience, and commitment. The owners and carers are hands-on, attentive, and clearly dedicated to creating an environment where residents are respected, supported, and truly cared for. The staff go above and beyond every single day, showing the kind of kindness and professionalism that gives real peace of mind.

Knowing my mother is surrounded by people who treat her with dignity, warmth, and sincere attention means more than words can express. Beach Crest Care Home is outstanding in every way, and I couldn't be more grateful for the exceptional care they provide.

My Nan is currently at the care home and has been for some time now. The staff have been really helpful and keep me updated on how she is doing. I can call whenever I want to and visit her. She has been very happy at the home.

I would like to thank Beach Crest staff for the care and attention given to my 97 year old mum who recently passed away. She had lived at Beach Crest for five years. The home is warm and clean. The staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you.

As a family, we have nothing but good things to say about Beach Crest. My grannie had been there for around five years before she sadly passed. The standard of care provided was exceptional throughout her stay. I believe staff genuinely care for the residents like they are one of their own family. The home was always spotlessly clean, warm and tidy. As a family, we were always made to feel very welcome when visiting her, including my young daughter, who can be a bit of a terror. The manager always kept us informed about her care, and any health concerns were always raised. She was always very happy there, and I recommend Beach Crest to anyone I know.

Beach Crest, the manager and all the staff have been more than supportive of my Mum in law for her brief stay of approximately 4 months. Nothing has been too much trouble. She always looked extremely clean and smart whenever we visited. I would always strongly recommend Beach Crest they were amazing.

Both of my grandparents resided at Beach Crest. From the assessment until the day they sadly passed, the care and attention they received were outstanding. Being a smaller home, the staff were able and happy to provide an incredible amount of 1:1 time with them ensuring that only the highest standard of personalised care is received with dignity and respect. As a family, were always made to feel welcome and regularly consulted and updated with regard to their care needs. Food was always plentiful, nutritionally balanced and enjoyed. Nothing was ever too much trouble and their every need, no matter how big or small was attended to in a very timely manner. The home is spotlessly clean and they were encouraged to personalise their rooms which made it very easy for them to feel at home from home. Regular activities are planned and my grandparents particularly enjoyed the visiting singers and musicians. We cannot recommend Beach Crest highly enough.

My Aunt is very happy at Beach Crest and every time we visit she stresses how well she is cared for. My personal dealings with all the staff have been very positive and in particular I think they deserve enormous praise for the way they have kept the Coronavirus pandemic at bay with no residents being infected.

The location of Beach Crest is marvellous, with views over the Solent to the Needles on the Isle of Wight. My aunt's happiness has lifted an enormous weight from my shoulders as I live 250 miles away and I am enormously grateful to the manager and all his staff for the love and care they show towards my darling aunt.

Beach Crest is a small, warm, friendly, well-managed care home. The staff went out of their way to help us celebrate my Mum's birthday this month. During this period of 'shielding', the staff arranged an indoors for Mum and outdoors for us celebration that worked well and was the best that could be done. Many thanks to you all.

My mother has lived at Beach Crest for nearly three years. We are delighted with the care she receives. Staff are really loving towards her, and the level of personalised care is really high. My mother has an unusual type of dementia which makes it hard for her to convey her feelings in words, but I can tell that she is happy and settled. During the COVID outbreak, she has been cared for very sensitively. It is a great testimony to the whole team that there is such a low level of changes in staff. The Manager communicates very well with us as family and has made it possible for us to speak with my mother via Zoom calls as well as, of late, in the garden, suitably distanced. The atmosphere of the home is like that of a caring family, and we are very grateful to all the staff. Thank you.

Overall Experience
My mother lived at Beach Crest for the last two years of her long life. Initially very resistant to going into residential care, she came to enjoy her new home. The personal care she received from the staff, the time taken to chat with her and the recognition of her individuality all made her feel more a guest than a resident.

The manager and his staff are professional and thorough. They understand an elderly person’s needs; not just the necessary medical care, but the gentle psychological support often required to alleviate reluctance and resistance. Beach Crest is a small family-run business, in a delightful location on the cliff at Barton-on-Sea, and I’m very happy we found such a place where Mum could be comfortable in her last days.
