Little Brook House is a residential care home located in Warsash, Southampton.

Dad has been a resident at Little Brook House for almost 3 years and I am happy for him to be in such a homely environment. There are no visiting restrictions so it is wonderful to be able to visit as and when I want to.
The home has a charming feel to it and the grounds are beautiful; nice to walk
around together.
All the staff are great with Dad and all the other residents. I feel confident that the level of care for Dad is good and if I have any small concerns or questions, these are always addressed straight away in a professional manner.

My sister moved into Little Btook House in February 2025 and settled in almost immediately. The Manager and all of the staff are very kind and helpful and nothing seems too much trouble. Her room is kept very clean and it has a door opening onto the gardens which she likes to just sit and look out.
Little Brook house situated in lovely old building in lovely grounds and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the home anyone wishing to move into a care home.

My wife has been in this care home for 3 years, she is well looked after and is very happy there, I cannot fault the staff for their work which must be at times difficult looking after aged residents with varying disabilities.

Staff at Little Brook are always friendly, welcoming and respectful to both myself and my Dad. This is very reassuring that my Dad is being looked after and is happy in his surroundings.
The grounds are beautiful and makes a lovely walk or sit outside. The dining area and lounge is very cosy too

I would say the staff are very friendly and helpful even though they seem under a lot of pressure with the residents.
I have mentioned to members of the staff regarding taking my uncle out in the fresh air which I feel would make him happier than being stuck within four walls 24/7. This was requested
by myself a few times over the past year. To date nothing has materialised.
Reply from Management Team Management Team, Manager at Little Brook HouseThankyou for your review. Just so you are aware that your uncle goes out regularly into the garden with, and without staff as he will say he wants to go and often opens his patio door and goes himself and sets the alarm off . When this happens a staff member goes out to be with him, so i hope this puts your mind at rest, thakyou again. My Mother moved to Little Brook House from another local care home that was closing, in January 2025. Mum had been at the previous care home for 5 and a half years and I was naturally concerned how she would accept the transition. Fortunately, Mum accepted it immediately which was such a weight off
my mind. The Manager and all of the staff have been so loving, caring and accommodating to my Mum, I couldn't wish for more. Little Brook House is situated in a beautiful building, in beautiful grounds. My Mum is happy and very well taken care of, I am so grateful to all the staff and send them my thanks.

Mum moved to Little Brook House from a different care home due to being a capital depleter. We were both anxious about moving but there was no need to be. The manager came to meet Mum and instantly put our minds at ease. Now settled in, Mum is so happy. All the staff are wonderful, always happy to help
and all go above and beyond. Mum loves her room, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is wonderfully homely.

My mother returned to her home following a fall, which required a partial hip replacement. The care she received was excellent. The staff had Mum up and walking with a frame within 24 hours. Their commitment to get Mum mobile and not just leave her in bed has been most beneficial to Mum's recovery.

My mum has lived at the home for five years. All the staff are so friendly and give Mum excellent care. The home feels like your own home. The amazing activities lady has just left but was completely amazing. She took residents out on amazing outings and always had activities in the home every day.
I hope they replace her with someone just as good. Unfortunately, my mum passed away last week. Her end of life was fantastic, so much love and care. There is a new manager now who is amazing and I think will be a great asset to the home.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.150)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.150) out of 10 for Little Brook House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.500 for Little Brook House is calculated as follows: ( (47 Excellents x 5) + (41 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 90 Ratings = 4.5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.65 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Little Brook House is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.65
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 26 registered maximum number of service users is 5.2, which has been reached with 8 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
