The staff are very dedicated, they keep in constant contact with us. The cooks will prepare an alternative meal if my mum can't find anything she likes on the daily menu. She always receives immediate treatment when required. Bramblings in general is looking very tired regarding furniture & decor which
requires attention, the communal areas are nice & there are plenty of daily events going on. We are happy that mum is being cared for in a kind & compassionate way.
Reply from Jennifer Bard, Manager at Bramblings Residential HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. It's especially lovely to know that the kitchen team's flexibility and the range of daily activities are making a positive difference to her experience.
We also appreciate your honest comments regarding the furniture and dcor. Your feedback is important to us, and we will certainly take this on board as we continue to review and improve our environment. Thank you again for your thoughtful review and for trusting us with your mum's care.

Overall care has been excellent. My mother has thrived since being at Bramblings. There are always activities happening and she is always treated with respect by staff and other residents. So glad we made the decision to place her here.
The only thing to make the home even better is a more varied menu
at mealtimes. Some meals can be a bit samey.

Mum was at Bramblings from May 2023 until October 2025 and was very well looked after throughout. The staff all go above and beyond the call of duty because they really care about the residents and their families. The home is kept very clean and has a family feel about it. Mum had a lovely room with
an en-suite toilet and basin. The daily activities and entertainment were well organised and suited Mum very well. The food was also very nice. We always knew that Mum was safe at Bramblings. We were kept informed of any changes regarding Mum's health and appropriate action was taken immediately when she was unwell. When Mum came to the end of her life, she was kept comfortable and pain-free. At that time the staff were all incredibly supportive towards us too. I would highly recommend Bramblings.
Reply from Jennifer Bard, Manager at Bramblings Residential HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share your kind and thoughtful feedback about your mum's time at Bramblings.
We are truly grateful for your lovely words and are so pleased to hear that your mum was well cared for during her time with us. It means a great deal to our entire team to know that you felt confident she was safe, comfortable, and treated with dignity throughout.
Your comments about our staff going above and beyond, the homely atmosphere, cleanliness, activities, and food will be shared with the whole team, who take great pride in providing person-centred care to both residents and their families.
We are especially touched by your feedback regarding the care and support provided at the end of your mum's life. Supporting residents and their loved ones during such an important and emotional time is something we approach with great compassion, and we are honoured to have been able to support your family.

Mum went into the home in June 2025 through to October 2025 when she sadly passed. It is really hard to fault the home in any way. All the staff were very good with Mum, they done their very best to keep her as welcome as they could. They were always friendly and helpful to me and kept me informed of
anything concerning Mum's health. Although I was very worried about mum going into a care home, I needn't have been as I soon knew I had chosen well. I recommend.
Reply from Jennifer Bard, Manager at Bramblings Residential HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share these kind words about your mum's time with us. We are deeply sorry for your loss, and it means a great deal to our whole team to know that we were able to provide comfort and care to both your mum and your family during such a difficult period.
Your trust in us -especially when you were understandably worried about her moving into a care home-truly matters.
We are glad to hear that you felt reassured and supported, and that our staff were able to keep you well informed and make your mum feel welcome.
We are grateful for your recommendation and for allowing us to be part of your mum's journey.

My mum has been at Bramblings for almost a year and although it took a while for her to settle in the wonderful care and support she has been given is second to none. Nobody wants to see their parents having to give up their home and independence but Bramblings has made it a warm welcoming place.
I never tire of visiting to see mum and all the other residents, management, carers and staff. She has a lovely room which I was encouraged to decorate and make it her own. You have all truly given me peace of mind, so much so that my husband and myself are going on holiday for the first time in 3 years as I know she is happy, and I am confident that she is well looked after, cared for, kept clean and tidy without losing her dignity and identity. She is treated with respect by all and words cannot express my gratitude. Every single member of staff are friendly helpful welcoming and most of all extremely caring. You are all angels and need to be recognised for the wonderful job you do.

We're so glad you feel reassured and at peace, and we hope your upcoming holiday is everything you deserve and more-it sounds very well-earned!Thank you again for your kind words. I am very happy with Bramblings Residential Home and, more importantly, so is my mum. The staff are very caring and provide a homely atmosphere.
Mum's room is very nice and she has her own things there. She prefers to be in the hub of things and Bramblings provide lovely things to keep her happy and
living with a good feeling of well-being.
I have found an open door from the manager who is very approachable and sincerely cares that she provides a happy, safe, caring environment.

My mother's been a resident for just over a year now. She settled in extremely well from the start and that was due to the staff and management making her feel safe, secure and happy. All of her needs were met and any questions or concerns we had were dealt with sensitively and swiftly. My mother has
mixed Alzheimer's and vascular dementia so the change isn't great but her transition was smooth and she was happy.
All staff are amazing at their jobs, they are friendly, helpful and make us feel very welcome, always happy and smiling.
Communication from management and staff is brilliant. The manager's door is always open.
The updates on social media mean we can see how much fun they have daily (and they do have so much fun)
The whole place just feels like a home from home. We cared for Mum 24/7 at her home until we couldn't and moving her there was the best decision we made.
I'm so happy with how mums cared for with love and compassion and such care.
I would highly recommend Bramblings.

Our Mum has been in their care for 15 months. It was tough to decide on placing Mum into care but we are so glad we did. Mum has Alzheimer's and Dementia and is thriving the care she receives is excellent, she is treated with sincerity and dignity and as an individual person, nothing is too much trouble
the carers are absolutely wonderful always friendly, happy and smiling.
The Management door is always open for anything you need, you are always greeted with a warm welcome. The home is kept very clean whenever we've been there Mum's room is spotless.
The activities that they put on are amazing from having pampered afternoons, singers, games, quizzes, bingo and animal visits the list goes on. You can also catch up with what's happening via their social media page and see how happy the residents are.
When we visit it feels like we are visiting one big family if you are thinking about any care home I highly recommend you ring up and arrange a visit.

My mum did take a while to settle in as she has dementia, but the staff are really kind and helpful, and the home is really friendly and homely. If I have a question or query, the management and staff are helpful in sorting it out for us.

I am so pleased my mum was found a place in Bramblings following a deterioration in her health. Every member of staff has taken the time to get to know Mum and helped us to make sure she is happy and well looked after. Through lockdown, when were unable to go into the home, being able to see Mum on
the social media page joining in with every activity she could, was very reassuring. Her quality of life has greatly improved since moving in and she is always smiling. I am also very grateful that the manager assisted me in moving my dad from another home and with patience and kindness have settled Dad in and my parents now see each other regularly after being apart for over a year. It also means we can now see them more regularly and we are always welcomed by all. I would recommend the home to anyone wanting a friendly, caring environment for their loved one.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.415)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.415) out of 10 for Bramblings Residential Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.813 for Bramblings Residential Home is calculated as follows: ( (79 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 4.813
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.602 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bramblings Residential Home is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.65
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 42 registered maximum number of service users is 8.4. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 8.4 = 0.952
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
