Visiting

  • Mon Choisy Care Home operates an open visiting policy and warmly welcomes family, friends, and visitors throughout the day. There is no need to book in advance, and residents are free to receive their visitors whenever they wish. Visitors are simply asked to avoid mealtimes where possible, so that residents can enjoy their meals unhurried, and to sign in and out at the entrance for fire safety and security. The home has been designed with comfortable, welcoming spaces for time together. Visitors can spend time with their loved one privately in their own bedroom, relax together in one of the communal lounges, or, in good weather, enjoy the home's mature gardens. A quieter sitting room is available for families who would like more privacy, including during end-of-life care, when relatives are welcome to stay with their loved one for as long as they need. Children are welcome, and the team finds that visits across the generations bring real joy to residents. Well-behaved pets may also visit, following a brief word with the home beforehand to make sure the visit suits everyone. Tea, coffee, and light refreshments are offered to visitors throughout the day, and family members are welcome to join their loved one for a meal by prior arrangement with the kitchen. The home is easy to reach from central Oxford by car or public transport, with free on-site parking available directly outside.

Parking

  • Mon Choisy Care Home offers free on-site parking directly outside the home, with space for several vehicles. Visitors are welcome to park whenever they come, and there is no need to reserve a space in advance. The parking area sits on level ground, just a short, step-free walk from the main entrance, so visitors with reduced mobility, wheelchairs, or pushchairs can reach the home with ease. When the home is busier — during family gatherings or special occasions, for example — additional on-street parking is available nearby on Kennington Road. Visitors are kindly asked to park considerately and to keep the area immediately in front of the entrance clear at all times, so that emergency vehicles can reach the home without delay.
