Upalong has a lovely homely atmosphere promoted by the cheerful furnishings and decoration in a characterful house. Having witnessed residents at routine and 'special' times, I see them regarded by staff as family, who are treated with considerate professional and above all caring attention. The home cooked food is good and I've enjoyed teatime snacks at birthday celebrations. A good variety of organised recreational activities is on offer but residents clearly have a choice about taking part (they are encouraged to do so). My relative used to decline but now shows real pleasure joining in. I'm delighted with the care and security from which she benefits. She says Upalong is her home and rightly so. Coming from a solitary and lonely existence, smiles and laughter are now an everyday part of her life. Thank you all.

The minute my Uncle moved in, he felt at home straight away. The home is so clean and tidy with a great professional kitchen, which provides great tasty fresh meals everyday. Safety is the main priority at all times. The staff are excellent, interacting with the residents all day, ensuring they stay alert and stimulating the brain. The under manager is brilliant ensuring everyone is happy and the home runs smoothly. My Uncle's health and mobility has improved since moving here.
This gentleman has settled very quickly into his new environment and we are pleased that he is able to enjoy a good quality of life at the Home.
Mum's been in Upalong for the last 18 months and it has been marvelous from the day she moved in the care, staff food and facilities are all excellent, Mum especially enjoys the gardens - and is in great hands. Thanks you all the care staff.

Always welcomed by friendly staff at any time. Everywhere is very clean and tidy as rooms are cleaned thoroughly every day. The rooms are always lovely and warm, and my mum is content knowing her individual needs are catered for, therefore I am happy.

Lovely, friendly home. We were welcomed in, asked if we would like a hot drink. All the staff were very caring. If I had to go into a home, I would choose this one, if I lived nearer. Just a lovely home.

After a bad experience in a care home for Mum, I visited many others to find the right place - I found Upalong. I am so pleased to have found this home, it is beautiful. The home is so clean, fresh and welcoming. The staff are kind-hearted, lovely, caring people. Mum is so much happier, I can really tell she is well cared for now. She looks well and she is relaxed and content. Her room is immaculate and her belongings well looked after. The home-cooked food is excellent. Visitors are made very welcome. My mother has been at the home since May 2019 and during this time, I have found the staff to be professional, polite, friendly and welcoming. During the current pandemic, I have felt very reassured that she is being well looked after and kept safe.

As far as I can testify during the covid-19 crisis, the care provided to my mother has been excellent. The staff are always friendly, helpful and readily available on the phone. The home has been very welcoming and my mother seems very happy there.

The staff are very approachable, friendly, competent and keep us informed. I can only say that we are extremely grateful that we found Upalong and feel very happy that she is looked after so well.
