Woodlarks have provided care for my Mum for around 10years. The staff work so hard to deliver excellent, varied and complex comprehensive services.
I believe that they don't just see my mum as a patient but as a member of their tight knit family. They go above and beyond to to make her safe, comfortable
& treated as an individual with respect & dignity.
Thank you so much for all you do everyday for her & is as a family.
Reply from Lynda Pattie, CEO at The Woodlarks CentreThank you so much for your heartfelt review. It means a great deal to us to have supported your mum for so many years, and we're truly grateful for your trust. Our team work hard to provide consistent, compassionate and individualised care, so your kind words about the dedication, respect and dignity she receives are deeply appreciated. We are proud to think of her as part of the Woodlarks family, not just a resident. Thank you for recognising the effort the staff put in every day - your appreciation means a great deal to all of us.

Delighted that my brother is at Woodlarks! I feel that we really are one of the lucky ones. It is a safe, friendly, warm environment with many lovely staff, and so easy to visit. He has very high needs and is always so well groomed, his personal care is second-to-none. He is treated with gentleness
and dignity. I would love to see him going outside to get some fresh air and hope that starts to happen regularly as the weather improves.

Since my brother came to woodlarks he has come on so far from being peg feed to coming off that to be eating normal foods that's because of the manager and staff at that time but the staff are all very kind to my brother and the rest of the residents i come to see my brother every other Sunday and I
always ask him if he has had a good week and he is happy I get a thumbs up as he can't talk because of the stroke he had but he does hand signs to the carers they under stand what he wants . Overall he loves woodlarks and if he is happy then im happy I can't fault the home.
Well done to you all
Reply from Lynda Pattie, CEO at The Woodlarks CentreThank you so much for sharing this wonderful review. It's been a privilege to support your brother on his journey, and we're delighted to see how far he has come. Your kind words about the manager and staff mean a great deal to us all. Our team work hard to understand each resident's individual ways of communicating, and it's lovely to hear how well he connects with the carers and how happy he is when you visit. Knowing he feels settled and content is exactly what we strive for. Thank you again for your trust and encouragement - it truly means a lot.

We have been visiting my son for the past few years and have always found the staff very warm, welcoming and helpful. The Woodlarks Centre is spotlessly clean and very conveniently laid out for accommodating residents of varying needs. I always find the residents in good spirit, engaged in various interesting
and creative activities.
Another significant observation that is extremely humbling and reassuring is witnessing the caring approach of the residents toward one another.
Our son enjoys every aspect of his residency at TWC, he has become very confident, feels informed and interested while enjoying his independence at the care home, during social events, trips and outings. The dining room and carefully crafted menu adds to the daily excitement, while residents show up regularly well before service time.
An excellent care home for our son and peace of mind for us.

I can not speak highly enough of Woodlarks. My ex husband has been a resident since last summer and has gone from strength to strength. He suffered a stroke over 13yrs ago. And moved from care home in Scotland to Woodlarks which is closer to myself and our son.
Staff and overall care are wonderful.
With dietician and physiotherapists supporting residents.
I genuinely enjoy visiting and chatting with other residents. There is a real community at Woodlarks with activities and opportunities to go out.
Large bright airy rooms with en suite's. All with fitted hoists.
My ex and I are beyond grateful that he has found a true home at Woodlarks. It absolutely deserves to be rated "outstanding" and I would be more than happy to share my thoughts with anyone.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.478)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.478) out of 10 for The Woodlarks Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.878 for The Woodlarks Centre is calculated as follows: ( (73 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 82 Ratings = 4.878
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.6 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Woodlarks Centre is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 23 registered maximum number of service users is 4.6, which has been reached with 7 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
